WWE 205 Live Results - June 12, 2018

We start off with Drake Maverick talking about the end of the main event of last week.  He will not deal with actions like what Itami did.  Drake says that Itami will not appear on this week’s show.  Mustafa Ali will face Tony Nese.  Will will have a six man tag match to start things off.

We are in Memphis, Tennessee and your announcers are Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness, and Percy Watson.

Jack, Drew, and Brian are asked why are they a team.  Brian says to be the top team on 205 Live, they need to beat the Lucha House Party.  Jack says the Lucha House Party has had the numbers advantage before tonight.  Drew says that 205 Live is not a high flying fiesta.  If you step to him, you will tap out.

Match Number One:  Drew Gulak, Brian Kendrick, and Jack Gallagher vs. Lince Dorado, Kalisto, and Gran Metalik

Gallagher and Kalisto start things off and Gallagher with a waist lock take down.  Kalisto gets back to his feet but Gallagher takes Kalisto to the mat again.  Kalisto with a head lock take down and arm drag into an arm bar.  Dorado tags in and he goes up top for a double sledge to the arm.  Dorado with a wrist lock but Gallagher backs Dorado into his corner.  Kendrick tags in and Dorado with a drop toe hold.  Dorado with a back body drop.  Kalisto tags in and then he tags in Metalik.  Kalisto with a splash off Dorado’s shoudlers and Metalik with a splash off the ropes for a near fall.

Metalik with a head scissors and drop kick.  Dorado tags in and they hit a back drop for a near fall.  Gulak tags in and he punches Dorado.  Dorado with a single leg take down.  Dorado with a springboard arm drag and head scissors that sends Gulak to the floor.  Kendrick and Gallagher go to the floor as well and Dorado with a springboard senton onto all three men.  Drew and Dorado return to the ring and he gets a near fall.  Gulak misses a punch and Dorado with a drop kick.  Kalisto tags in and he kicks Gulak.  Gallagher tags in and he connects with a head butt to the midsection.

Kalisto with kicks to the leg followed by a jaw breaker.  Kendrick makes the blind tag but Kalisto with a head scissors and kick to Gallagher.  Kendrick pulls Kalisto off the turnbuckles and gets a near fall.  Kendrick with cross faces.  Kendrick with an arm bar and Dragon Sleeper.  Kendrick with a suplex for a near fall.  Gulak tags in and he kicks Kalisto in the back.  Gulak with a slam and he gets a near fall.  Gulak with a Japanese stranglehold.  Kalisto with a jaw breaker and he knocks Gallagher and Kendrick off the apron.  Drew keeps Kalisto from making the tag.  Kendrick distracts the referee and Kalisto makes the tag but the referee did not see it so he sends Dorado to the apron.

Gulak with a boot to Kalisto and he gets a near fall.  Gallagher tags in and hits an elbow drop.  Gallagher with an abdominal stretch.  Gallagher with a slam and Kendrick tags in.  Gallagher with a hot shot and Kendrick with a boot for a near fall.  Kendrick with forearms to Kalisto.  Gulak tags in and he punches Kalisto and then applies a torture rack and an accordion slam.  Gulak with a hammer lock using the leg and a single leg crab on Kalisto.

Kendrick tags in and he kicks Kalisto in the leg.  Kendrick with a hard Irish whip followed by a forearm.  Kendrick with more forearms.  Kalisto with kicks to the leg and Kendrick runs Kalisto into the corner and connects with shoulders.  Kendrick puts Kalisto on the turnbuckles.  Kalisto knocks Kendrick off and then he stops Gulak.  Kalisto comes off the turnbuckles with a tornado DDT.  Metalik and Gallagher tag in and Metalik with a springboard drop kick and chop.  Metlalik with a thrust kick and slingblade.  Metalik with a springboard drop kick for a near fall. 

Dorado tags in and Metalik hits a springboard drop kick that Dorado uses the momentum for a spinebuster but Gulak breaks up the cover.  Gulak tags in and he goes for a suplex but Dorado with a kick.  Dorado with a rana for a near fall.  Dorado with a rollup for a near fall.  Gulak with a clothesline and he gets a near fall.  Gulak sets for the GuLock but Dorado escapes.  Gulak with a rollup and he uses the tights but the referee sees it and stops the count.  Dorado with a rollup and a handful of tights for a near fall.  Dorado with a spinning heel kick for a near fall.

Kendrick tags in and he knocks Kalisto off the apron.  Kendrick with a hot shot and he applies the Captain’s Hook but Kalisto breaks up the cover.  Everyone comes in to take care of someone from the other team.  Dorado with a cross body and Gulak and Gallagher catch him.  Dorado lands on his feet and he hits a handspring double cutter.  Kalisto and Metalik with a double drop kick followed by a double plancha.  Dorado is met by a take down by Kendrick and he applies the Captain’s Hook.  Dorado tries to get to the ropes but Kendrick rolls into the center of the ring and Dorado counters with a rollup and a handful of tights for the three count.

Winners:  Lince Dorado, Gran Metalik, and Kalisto

We go to comments from Hideo Itami and he says they did not deserve to be in the main event.  They do not deserve to be champion.  Itami says he will be the next Cruiserweight Champion and he will make you respect him.

Drake Maverick is in his office and Buddy Murphy stops by.  Buddy says unless he is given a match against Hideo it does not matter what Drake says.  Buddy says if Drake was good at his job, he would make the match.  Drake says that Mustafa Ali also wants a match against Itami.  Drake says they will get what they want, but when he says so.

Mustafa Ali says he came close to stopping the unstoppable but Hideo Itami stopped him. Where he comes from, when you are put down, you get back up.  He will get back into the ring tonight and he will take on Tony Nese.  He says he hopes Buddy and Hideo are watching.

Match Number Two:  Akira Tozawa vs. Steve Irby

Tozawa with chops and he gets Irby to flinch so he hits a jab.  Tozawa with kicks but Irby with a kick of his own.  Irby with a sunset flip but Tozawa rolls through and kicks Irby followed by a back senton.  Irby goes into the ropes and he uses a distraction to kick Tozawa.  Tozawa with punches and Irby with a kick.  Tozawa floats over and Irby with forearms.  Irby with a kick but Tozawa with a rana.  Tozawa goes up top for a missile drop kick.  Tozawa with a back heel kick and a spinning heel kick.  Tozawa goes up top for the back senton and he connects for the three count.

Winner:  Akira Tozawa

We have a video package for Lio Rush, who is coming to 205 Live.  He says he feels disrespected.  How can you have two cruiserweight tournaments without him in either?  It is about time for people to find out why he is the right man for the right place at the right time.

Tony Nese is getting ready for his match and he says Mustafa Ali wants back into the title picture so he made a mistake accepting his challenge.  Tonight is not about Ali, it is about Tony Nese making a statement at Ali’s expense.

We go to commercial.

TJP says it is another 205 Live without him in a significant match.  Maybe Drake Maverick will remember that he was the man who carried the division but instead he will be remembered as the one who got away.

Match Number Three:  Mustafa Ali vs. Tony Nese

Before the match starts, Buddy Murphy gets in the ring and that brings out the Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander.

They lock up and Nese with a punch on the break.  Nese with more punches followed by a back body drop for a near fall.   Ali floats over and then he avoids Nese.  Ali with a drop kick to send Nese to the floor.  Ali with a spinning heel kick to knock Nese off the apron.  Murphy gets between Nese and Ali and the distraction allows Nese to connect with a running forearm.  Nese tosses Ali into the ring post. 

The referee warns Murphy and Alexander.  Nese sends Ali back into the ring and gets a near fall.  Nese with a hard Irish whip and running back elbow while Maverick watches something near the monitor in the back.  Nese gets a near fall.  Nese with a crossface and then he applies a body scissors.  Nese with forearms across the chest but Ali gets out of the body scissors.  Nese with a waist lock.  Ali with elbows but Nese with a forearm to the back of the head.  Ali with a lateral press for a near fall. 

Nese drops Ali on the top rope as Nese leaps to the floor.  Nese goes for the double jump moonsault but Ali moves and Nese lands on his feet.  Ali with an enzuigiri from the apron followed by a rolling X Factor for a near fall.  Ali with chops.  Nese with a pump handle set up but Ali gets to his feet.  Nese with a back elbow.  Ali misses a tornado DDT.  Nese with a series of kicks and a forearm.  Ali and Nese both go for clotheslines and both men are down.

Nese with a kick to Ali and then Nese goes to the turnbuckles but Ali with a drop kick that staggers Nese on the turnbuckles.  Ali goes to the turnbuckles for a Frankensteiner but Nese pushes Ali off and Ali lands on his feet.  Nese with a clothesline.  Nese with a pump handle Michinoku Driver for a near fall.  Nese sends Ali into the corner to set for the running knee but Ali gets up and hits a super kick.  Ali goes up top for the inward 450 splash but Murphy pulls Nese to the floor.  Ali flips over the referee and hits a plancha on Nese.

Murphy with a forearm to Alexander and then he misses a bicycle kick.  Alexander with a back elbow and suicide dive that sends Murphy halfway up the ramp.  Alexander and Murphy fight on the ramp.

Back in the ring, Nese with a rollup into a one arm buckle bomb for a near fall.  Nese with a knee to the midsection and then he face washes Ali and he sets for the running knee strike but Ali moves.  Ali with a tornado DDT and then he goes up top for the inward 450 splash and hits it and gets the three count.

Winner;  Mustafa Ali

After the match, Mustafa Ali tells Drake Maverick that he said he would give everybody what they want.  Ali says him, Hideo, and Buddy want to rip each other’s heads off.  He wants a triple threat match for next week.
