Backstage Update On William Regal’s WWE Status, AJ Styles Mocks Rusev Day, Aiden English On Being In Better Shape Than A Year Ago (Photo)

– NXT General Manager William Regal was set to return to work at last night’s Full Sail TV tapings but he was not there, according to PWInsider.

Word is that the decision was made on Wednesday not to bring him in. As noted, Regal has been away due to a health issue that came up before WrestleMania 34.

– WWE Champion AJ Styles took to Twitter today and wrote the following on his Extreme Rules title defense against Rusev:

A year ago I couldn’t sit like this…6 months ago I did it but was in a lot of pain. Today, I hold this for 30-60 sec at a time. May seem like a little thing but ROM and flexibility play a HUGE role in what we do in that ring. Don’t skip the stretches! @terrencethetrainer @onnit @dionsekone @reppinchiathletics @jasonphillips_in3
