Backlash is set to air live tomorrow from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The show will feature high-profile title matches and equally important non-title matches.
According to Wrestle Votes on Twitter, the main event for the pay-per-view is set to be the WWE Championship match between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura. Apparently, Roman Reigns vs Samoa Joe was being discussed to close the show but those plans were dropped for some reason.
Shinsuke Nakamura vs AJ Styles is penciled in for the main event tomorrow night at Backlash. Samoa Joe v Roman Reigns was considered but plans that were originally discussed for that match were dropped therefore no sense in closing with it.
