– We noted earlier via PWInsider that Paul Heyman would not be appearing at WWE’s Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia on Friday.
In an update, it’s now confirmed that Heyman will be working the show as WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar defends against Roman Reigns in a Steel Cage match. Heyman was in New York on Tuesday and did not travel with the rest of the RAW crew from St. Louis to the Middle East. Word is that Heyman and Lesnar will be traveling to Saudi Arabia together later in the week.
– As noted, Kalisto vs. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander is now official for Friday’s big Greatest Royal Rumble event. Kalisto tweeted the following on breaking his mask in last night’s Gauntlet Match on WWE 205 Live and says he’s bringing the Lucha House Party to Saudi Arabia:
#GauntletMatch. May have destroyed my mask but I won the WAR!! #LuchaHouseParty is coming to #WWEGRR! #205Live pic.twitter.com/DZBN9K3WWH— KALISTO (@KalistoWWE) April 25, 2018
– During an interview with Newsweek, Seth Rollins had the following to say about a possible feud with Roman Reigns:
“It’s his yard all he wants. But I feel the show is mine, they don’t call it Monday Night Rollins for nothing. I go out there every Monday and put on the best performances. For me, I’m the guy they should build the show around so [Roman] can think whatever he wants.”
“I’d absolutely love to get into the ring again with Roman. Without a doubt, he’s one of the top competitors in the entire world and being in the ring with him, whenever any of the SHIELD guys are in the ring at the same time, there’s a special feeling involved. We’ve had some very classic matchups in the past and we’ve gone back and forth before. I think it would be a great time and I’m certainly up for the challenge and I’m certain he would be too.”
