– Here is what Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com discussed regarding Rusev reportedly wanting to be released prior to being added to the US Title match at Wrestlemania:
“I know I heard a month or three weeks ago that Rusev was pushing for a release because he wasn’t happy with how he was being used but I could not confirm that with a second source. So, it’s possible it’s true and I feel it’s interesting that he was sudden added to the match [at WrestleMania].”
