Matt Hardy Calls Bray Wyatt A Martyr, Cedric Alexander On Not Letting His Daughter Down, WrestleMania Breaks Records

– Below is backstage video of new WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander talking to Cathy Kelley after his big win over Mustafa Ali on the WrestleMania 34 Kickoff pre-show.

Cedric says his daughter calls him a champion every morning she kisses him goodbye and now this solidifies it. Cedric says one person he’s afraid of letting down is his daughter and he didn’t do that at WrestleMania. Cedric goes on and says this is 8 years of hard work in his hands. He gets emotional and a bit speechless, and talks about the support he received backstage after the win. Cedric says hard work pays off and this belt proves that. He kisses the title to end the segment.

– In this video, the camera catches The Woken One talking to the trophy and thanking Andre, the wisest soul he’s ever met. Matt says he will always be grateful to the humongous wonder #8. Hardy says Bray Wyatt is a powerful entity and a martyr for sacrificing himself to help Hardy win. Matt says Wyatt was a martyr for Woken Matt Hardy because they previously “deleted!” Wyatt’s darkness. Matt says he knew Wyatt would come as Wyatt makes a brief appearance to end the segment.

NEW ORLEANS, LA – April 8, 2018 – WWE® (NYSE: WWE) announced tonight that WrestleMania 34 broke the record for the Mercedes-Benz Superdome’s highest grossing entertainment event. WWE’s annual pop-culture extravaganza grossed $14.1 million, surpassing the venue’s previous record of $10.9 million set by WrestleMania 30 in 2014, as a sold-out crowd of 78,133 fans from all 50 states and 67 countries converged on the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Thank you to everyone who makes it possible to stage such an epic event.”
