It looks like change is coming for Smackdown Live. Daniel Bryan is now an active member of the WWE Superstar roster so it would make sense to announce a replacement for the General Manager role.
WWE.com’s official preview teases that there could be a shakeup with the General Manager position.
“Now that the two have vanquished Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn from SmackDown LIVE for good following their win over The “Yep!” Movement at WrestleMania, what’s next for the Commissioner and General Manager? Will Shane officially return from his leave of absence and what impact will his health issues have on his decision? Will Daniel Bryan continue to split time between the ring and the office? And how will the Superstar Shake-up impact these decisions?”
It should be noted that Bryan wants to go on the road. He doesn’t necessarily want a full-time schedule but he wants something closer to a Randy Orton schedule, which would mean that he would be on most of the live events and most of their televised shows. At this point, it would make sense to bring in a new GM. One name that has been rumored in recent days is Jeff Jarrett but I haven’t confirmed that.
Smackdown Live should be interesting tonight. There should be a few surprises on the show and they will be in front of the same rabid fans in New Orleans.
