– Paul Heyman tweeted the following warning to Roman Reigns today as Reigns looks ahead to his WrestleMania 34 main event match with WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar:
DISCRETION is, indeed, the better part of valor. Or, in other words, DON’T F WITH @BrockLesnar. Lesson learned yet., @WWE @WWERomanReigns? The beatings only get worse and worse, with the worst one being Sun April 8th at @WrestleMania! https://t.co/qH7bY3FTG1— Paul Heyman (@HeymanHustle) March 28, 2018
– WWE reported earlier this week that Shane McMahon is currently recovering from acute diverticulitis and an umbilical hernia after the “storyline” attack two weeks ago on SmackDown Live. While Shane is believed to have been suffering from an acute diverticulitis, WWE’s claim about Shane suffering from an umbilical hernia may be false.
Bryan Alvarez discussed Shane’s recovery on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Live and indicated that WWE either made up the hernia injury to further the storyline with Owens & Zayn, or Shane did actually suffer the injury and he’s working the match hurt at WrestleMania. It seems very unlikely that WWE would allow Shane to work WrestleMania with an injury.
When Roman Reigns suffered a similar injury back in 2014, he was out of action for two and a half months after surgery. So, like Alvarez said — Shane may have suffered the injury and is going into WrestleMania hurt or they made up the injury completely just to further the storyline.
We will keep you updated once we receive additional details on Shane’s status.
