– WWE 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick indicated on last night’s RAW that there may be some surprises in the WWE Cruiserweight Title tournament, and possibly some talents from outside of WWE.
As noted, the 16-man tournament will continue on tonight’s episode with Hideo Itami vs. Roderick Strong and Kalisto vs. Lince Dorado. Last week’s matches saw TJP defeat Tyler Bate and Cedric Alexander defeat Gran Metalik. It’s also worth noting that Michael Cole acknowledged on RAW that Drake’s former name in wrestling was Rockstar Spud.
– RAW Tag Team Champions The Bar tweeted the following on how they retained over Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns on last night’s RAW:
Despite another highly unfair last minute curveball thrown at us, we’re still the champs. That’s why we are #TheBar @WWESheamus (Larry waiting to get packed up) pic.twitter.com/gpjPuBTfZV— Cesaro (@WWECesaro) February 6, 2018

– The Miz inked a new deal that will see him with the company through 2022. WWE initially wanted The Miz to commit to an even longer contract but the two came to an agreement on a four-year deal instead.
Speaking of The Miz, while he’s rumored to face Finn Balor at this year’s WrestleMania 34 event, there has been talk about having him being the longest reigning (combined) Intercontinental Champion of all time.
