The following artcile contains spoilers from tonight’s NXT tapings in Atlanta:

According to live reports, Johnny Gargano is leaving NXT after losing a ‘last chance’ match against Andrade Cien Almas.

Gargano called out Tommaso Ciampa for attacking him at NXT Takeover: Philadelphia, but Almas came to the ring instead. They ended up setting up a rematch where Gargano would leave NXT if he was not victorious.

Gargano did end up losing the match after Ciampa came through the crowd while the ref was out, and attacked Gargano with his crutch, leading to the loss. Gargano was met with a standing ovation from everyone after the match, including crying fans, and William Regal, who met Johnny on the stage. Ciampa ended up coming back out and waved goodbye and smiled, which got plenty of heat. After Ciampa left, Gargano and Candice LeRae ended up going into the crowd and embraced the fans.
