WWE RAW Results – Oct 30, 2017

WWE RAW Opener:

A video package runs focusing on the Smackdown Live invasion of RAW last week, then we go live to Baltimore where the entire RAW roster is standing on the stage.

RAW GM Kurt Angle is in the ring and welcomes everyone to the show. He said tonight is a little different after everyone saw what happened last week. “Shane McMahon took what I thought what was friendly competition way too far and RAW paid for it.” Angle wants to apologize for letting his friendship with Shane get the better of him. He talks about how the talent had to pay for that mistake. “I put you in harms way. But I promise you, I will never do it again.” Angle goes on to talk about Survivor Series when he is interrupted.

Here comes RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon. She can’t let Angle start the show like that. Stephanie welcomes everyone to Monday Night RAW. “Admit it you missed me just a little bit,” adds Stephanie. Stephanie talks about RAW celebrating its 25th Anniversary in January. She quotes her father Vince McMahon saying the last 25 years have been great, but it was just the beginning. Stephanie says when her father put Kurt in charge, she was in full support and thinks he is done a hell of a job. She says Kurt has led by example.

Stephanie is not pleased that he let her brother take control of RAW the way he did last week. Angle knows she is upset. Stephanie doesn’t want to hear his excuses. She calls Shane shallow and manipulative. Stephanie says Shane had to come pick on her show. She is not happy and begins yelling at Angle. Stephanie wants to add a 4th “I” to Angle’s 3 I’s – incompetence. She says Angle can make it up to her by becoming the Team Captain at Survivor Series. “I expect results.” Stephanie says if she doesn’t get the results she is looking for, she will find herself a new General Manager.

– Cole announces Kane vs. Seth Rollins for tonight. Graves announces Cesaro vs. Finn Balor. Also, Team Captain Alicia Fox takes on Bayley. We go to commercial.

Backstage:

Kurt Angle is again apologizing to Stephanie McMahon as she gets inside her limo. Stephanie said she meant everything and if he didn’t believe her, ask Mick Foley. Another limo backs up as Stephanie’s limo leaves. WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz gets out. Angle says he is late. Bo Dallas is back and with Curtis Axel. Miz asks what he misses. Angle says he’s been made Team Captain at Survivor Series. Miz isn’t happy. Angle tells him to shut up and asked where he was when RAW got attacked last week. He tells Miz he is going to defend his Intercontinental Championship tonight. Miz asks who. Angle won’t tell him since he showed up late. Miz walks off upset.

Alicia Fox vs. Bayley

We go to the ring and out first comes Bayley as we get highlights from last week. Before the match, Alicia Fox walks out with a captain’s hat on.

Alicia tells Bayley that she is your captain and she wants to make sure that Bayley understands that Alicia needs to take her duties as captain very seriously. She does not have time to wrestle Bayley, but she has a suitable replacement. Here comes Nia Jax.

Bayley vs. Nia Jax

Bayley charges at Nia and Nia goes for a slam but Bayley escapes. Bayley with forearms but Nia sends Bayley to the floor. Nia sends Bayley back into the ring and Bayley hits a drop kick to knock Nia off the apron and send her to the floor. We go to commercial.

We are back and Nia Jax has Bayley in a reverse chin lock. We see Nia knock Bayley off the turnbuckles and taken down with a running body block during commercial. Nia with a biel and then she hits a series of splashes into the corner. Nia sets for a Vader Bomb but Bayley escapes and she throws Nia over the top rope to the floor. Bayley with punches to Nia on the floor.

Bayley with a forearm and knees followed by a running boot to the temple and a cutter in the ropes. Bayley gets a near fall. Bayley with a guillotine on Nia but Nia escapes. Nia with a shoudler tackle and a leg drop for the three count.

Winner: Nia Jax

After the match, Alicia has a message for Nia. She says that Nia is her first pick for Team Raw. As Nia Jax makes her way up the ramp, Samoa Joe’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring. Back to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and Samoa Joe says it seems judging from the response that some of you have missed him. Joe says that is amusing because he has not missed any of you. How many of you reached out to him, not get wells, but to show that you actually cared. The answer is none of you. Joe says he cares about none of you. Joe says he will use your disrespect as fuel to destroy whoever comes into the ring to face him. He will think of each of you as he faces his opponent.

Samoa Joe vs. Apollo Crews (with Titus O’Neil)

Joe charges at Crews when the bell rings and he punches and chops Crews. Crews with a waist lock and side head lock. Joe tries to send Crews off the ropes, but Crews holds on. Joe with a shoulder tackle. Crews with a drop kick and forearms to Joe. Joe blocks a suplex but Crews lands on his feet. Joe with a power slam for a near fall. Joe with a forearm but Crews fires back with forearms of his own. Joe with an Irish whip and elbow into the corner followed by an enzuigiri.

Joe with an elbow to the back of the head followed by a chop and knees to the head. Joe misses a back fist and Crews with an enzuigiri and a second one. Crews goes for the tossed power bomb but Joe with a side head lock take down and then Joe hits an STJoe in the corner. Joe with the Kokina Clutch and Crews taps out.

Winner: Samoa Joe

After the match, Titus enters the ring and takes off his jacket and has something to say to Joe. Titus turns his back to check on Crews and Joe chokes out Titus.

– Michael Cole mentions the 25th Anniversary celebration for Raw in January. We go to commercial.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
The Miz (c) vs. Matt Hardy

Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel are at ringside tonight with Miz.

The bell rings and Matt Hardy with a series of pinfall attempts early. Miz avoids an early Twist of Fate attempt and rolls to the ropes quickly. Miz gets a knee up on Matt. Matt with a backslide pinfall for two. Matt drops a quick elbow. Miz dumps Matt to the outside and distracts the referee. Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel are nearby. Miz attempts a dropkick through the ropes. Matt moves out of the way and jumps back inside the ring. We go to commercial.

We are back and Matt climbs the turnbuckles to punch Miz. Miz crotches Matt and connects with a forearm. Matt with punches to knock Miz to the mat. Miz crotches Matt again and hits a hanging neck breaker for a near fall. Miz with elbows to the neck and he applies a reverse chin lock. Miz with Reality Check for a near fall. Miz chokes Matt in the ropes and Bo gets in a shot when the referee is not looking. Miz catapults Matt’s throat into the middle rope. Miz sends Matt throat first into the apron. Miz with a running knee to Matt’s head and Miz gets a near fall.

Miz with kicks to Matt followed by a running drop kick into the corner and an Awesome Clothesline. Miz goes up top and Matt catches him and tries for a Side Effect but Miz escapes. Miz misses an Awesome Clothesline when Matt moves. Matt with punches and forearms. Matt sends Miz into the turnbuckles. Matt with a clothesline into the corner followed by a bulldog for a near fall. Matt goes to the turnbuckles for an elbow. Matt with an elbow drop from the middle rope for a near fall.

Matt sets for the Twist of Fate but Miz counters and goes for the Skull Crushing Finale but Matt with elbows. Matt with a Side Effect for a near fall. Miz avoids the Twist of Fate but Matt with a kick and Miz goes down. Matt goes up top for a moonsault and hits it but Miz kicks out. Miz sends Matt into the middle turnbuckle and Miz kicks Matt in the chest. Miz misses the round kick and Matt hits a Twist of Fate. Miz rolls to the apron.

Miz drops Matt on the top rope and Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale for the three count.

Winner: Miz

– We take a look at what happened at the start of Raw when Stephanie McMahon returned to Raw.

Backstage:

Kurt is in his office and Alexa enters to congratulate Kurt on becoming team captain. Kurt knows that Alexa wants something so he asks her what she wants. She says she can help Kurt out by cutting out some of the dead weight from the Women’s Division like Mickie James. Kurt says he likes the idea of new talent, but Mickie James fought back last week. Kurt says that Alexa will be defending the Women’s Title against Mickie James tonight. We go to commercial.

Asuka vs. Stacie Cullen

Asuka with a spinning back fist that immediately drops Cullen. Asuka with repeated stomps to Cullen. Asuka with big knees and a kick to the back of the head. Asuka tosses Cullen face first into the second turnbuckle. Asuka with repeated kicks to the chest of Cullen. Asuka with repeated slaps and a spinning kick to the head. Asuka Lock applied. Cullen taps.

Winner: Asuka

After the match, Asuka is all smiles as she stands tall while her music plays. We go to replays and come back to The Empress of Tomorrow celebrating.

Backstage:

Kurt Angle is backstage checking his phone. He yells into a walkie, “everyone, they’re here! they’re here!” as it appears the SmackDown roster is invading again. The camera pans and we see just SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan standing in Angle’s office. Angle calms down and asks Bryan what the hell he’s doing here. Bryan smirks and we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Angle is asking if Bryan came to finish the job that Shane started. Bryan says he had nothing to do with the invasion last week. He’s taking a risk on his own, coming alone to a building full of RAW Superstars who want to tear him apart. Shane doesn’t know Bryan is coming here tonight, Bryan says. Angle doesn’t believe him and Bryan understands. Bryan apologizes for everything. Like Bryan said before, he doesn’t agree with what Shane did. Angle says he should send Bryan out but the roster would tear him alive. Angle is going to keep Bryan safe in the back so he can send Bryan back to Shane with a message – Angle is going to bring his gold medals and the RAW roster to take out Shane and the SmackDown roster. It’s damn true.

– A video package runs highlighting words exchanged between Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman and Jinder Mahal before the Survivor Series champion vs. champion match.

– Backstage, Daniel Bryan is on the phone and says things didn’t go well with Angle. The lights go out in the room as we head to a commercial break.

– Back from the break and Bryan is back on the phone, still in the dark. He’s blaming the lights being off on Angle. He also mentions being locked in the room. He vents to the person on the other end and says he needs to call them back because something is wrong. Bryan apparently gets attacked by Kane, then chokeslammed. We go back to the announcers and they’re shocked. Booker says Bryan got what he deserved.

Finn Balor vs. Cesaro (with Sheamus)

They lock up and Cesaro backs Balor into the turnbuckles. Cesaro with a clean break and then Balor slaps Cesaro’s hand away. Balor with a side head lock and take down. Balor holds on when Cesaro tries to send him off the ropes. Cesaro with a punch on the break. Cesaro with another punch. Balor with a forearm to the back and then he returns to the side head lock and uses the turnbuckles for leverage on a take down.

Cesaro with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker to Balor. Cesaro with punches to Balor in the corner. Cesaro with a running European uppercut followed by more European uppercuts. Balor with punches to Cesaro but Cesaro with a clothesline and he gets a near fall. Cesaro with an Irish whip but Balor gets his feet up and he sends Cesaro to the floor and he hits a drop kick followed by the running kick on the apron.

Balor sends Cesaro into the ring and Sheamus grabs Balor’s leg when he tries to get back into the ring. Balor focuses on Sheamus and Cesaro knocks Balor off the apron and sends him into the ringside barrier as we go to commercial.

We are back and Balor with punches but Cesaro with a forearm. Balor with a Pele Kick to the shoulder. Cesaro runs into boots from Balor and Balor with running forearms followed by a drop kick to the head. Balor with a running chop in the corner. Cesaro with an Irish whip but Balor floats over and hits a knee. Sheamus gets on the apron and Balor gets distracted. Cesaro with a pop up European uppercut for a near fall.

Cesaro tries for the Sharpshooter but Balor blocks it. Balor gets to the apron to stop Cesaro. Cesaro drops Balor on the top rope and he hits the gorilla superplex and he gets a near fall. Cesaro tries for the Sharpshooter and after Balor fights to avoid it for a moment, Cesaro is able to lock it in. Balor tries for the ropes and Cesaro counters into a cross face. Balor escapes and hits a double stomp.

Balor with Slingblade and a running drop kick to send Cesaro into the turnbuckles. Balor goes up top and Sheamus gets on the apron. Balor with an enzuigiri and then Balor sends Cesaro over the top to the floor. Balor with a plancha onto Sheamus and then he sends Cesaro back in and Balor with a double stomp to the temple for the three count.

Winner: Finn Balor

After the match, Kane’s music plays and he makes his way towards the ring. Balor punches Kane but Kane with a boot to the head. Kane picks up Balor and hits a tombstone on the stage.

Kane waits in the ring as the music hits and out comes RAW Tag Team Champion Seth Rollins with his partner Dean Ambrose. They come through the crowd. Cole confirms that Roman Reigns is still out with the viral infection that had been going around. We go to commercial.

Kane vs. Seth Rollins

Rollins punches Kane and Kane grabs Rollins. Rollins with punches and kicks. Kane with a boot and then he sends Rollins over the top rope to the floor. Rollins goes back into the ring and he kicks Kane on the floor and then drop kicks Kane off the apron. Rollins sets for a suicide dive and Kane with a punch. Kane with a clothesline. Kane with punches in the corner followed by a short arm clothesline and he gets a near fall.

Rollins leaps into the corner and he punches Kane but Kane pushes him away and connects with an uppercut. Kane chokes Rollins in the ropes. Kane with a clothesline into the corner followed by a side slam for a near fall. Rollins with punches but Kane sends him into the turnbuckles. Rollins with boots to Kane and then he avoids Kane and hits an enzuigiri. Rollins is sent to the apron and Rollins with an enzuigiri and he hits a blockbuster for a near fall.

Kane rolls to the floor. Rollins with a suicide dive and Kane goes into the ringside barrier. Rollins returns to the ring and he hits a second suicide dive, but Kane is able to get a piece of Rollins to send him into the ringside barrier. Rollins with a springboard move but Kane does not move. Rollins with another springboard clothesline and Kane does not budge. Rollins with a super kick to Kane and then he hits a pescado onto Cesaro and Sheamus after Ambrose is attacked.

Kane catches Rollins on a springboard move and hits a choke slam for the three count.

Winner: Kane

After the match, Kane stands tall as his music hits. Kane grabs Rollins for another chokeslam but Ambrose makes the save and hits Dirty Deeds. Kane sits up as Ambrose checks on Rollins. The Bar hits the ring and beats Ambrose down. Kane with a Tombstone on Ambrose. Kane with a Tombstone on Rollins now. Kane stands tall over the RAW Tag Team Champions and looks down at them as his music hits. We get replays and come back to Kane laughing on the stage while The Bar stands in the ring. Officials are checking on Rollins and Ambrose.

– We go to the back where Daniel Bryan is being put on a stretcher to be taken from the building.

– The announcers talk about what happened to Daniel Bryan and Corey talks about how Daniel was here for good while Booker appreciates what happened to Daniel.

– In case you missed it live or during the second hour, we take a look back at Stephanie McMahon’s return to Raw.

Backstage:

The Miz is backstage with Axel and Bo, ready to celebrate tonight’s win. Miz enters his locker room and apparently something smells really bad. Axel finds a trash bag. Miz says Braun Strowman is here, playing off his recent ride in the garbage truck. They determine it’s just some stupid prank. Axel and Dallas say they have Miz’s back and he shouldn’t be worried. Miz isn’t worried.

– We see staff members setting up a bunch of Halloween decorations at ringside for a Trick or Street Fight. We go to commercial.

Backstage:

We are back and Miz sees Kane in the back. Miz says he loves the way that Kane took care of everyone tonight. Miz asks Kane if he remembers throwing Strowman into the garbage truck. Kane says everyone else helped. Miz mentions that he had a bag of garbage earlier and he asks Kane if it was Strowman. Kane says if Strowman is around, he knows how to find him. Miz thanks Kane for being on the same team and Kane says they are not on the same team.

– We take a look back at what happened at TLC.

Heath Slater and Rhyno vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in a Trick or Street Fight

The bell rings and all four men battle in the ring. Slater and Rhyno are sent to the floor. Slater is attacked by Gallows and Anderson and they dunk Slater’s head in the barrel of apples. Rhyno grabs a pumpkin and puts it on Gallows’ head. Slater does the same to Anderson and they are sent into each other. Kendo sticks are thrown into the ring. Rhyno and Slater get a table and put it in the ring. Gallows punches Rhyno and sends him into the ring steps. Anderson hits Slater with the kendo stick and then Gallows rubs the internal parts of the pumpkin in Slater’s face.

Anderson is Irish whipped into the turnbuckles for a splash on Slater but Slater moves. Gallows gets a tombstone and hits Rhyno over the head with it but Rhyno with an uppercut. Rhyno gets some pumpkin pie and rubs it in Gallows’ face. Anderson and Gallows adjust the table, but Slater hits both of them with the kendo sticks. Gallows with a super kick and then he hits Slater and Rhyno with the kendo stick. Gallows puts a pumpkin on Anderson’s head and he goes to the turnbuckles for a splash but Rhyno catches him and hits a spinebuster through the table for the three count.

Winners: Rhyno and Heath Slater

– Elias walks in the back as we go to commercial.

Backstage:

We are back and Miz is trying to explain to Cesaro and Sheamus what happened with the bag of garbage. Sheamus says there is no way Braun is back. Cesaro says someone is messing with him. Miz says it is good to be part of a strong team and Cesaro and Sheamus say that Miz is alone. Miz tells Curtis to get Bo and pack the bags because they are leaving.

In the Arena:

Elias is in the ring and he says he is the last harbinger of truth in this world. He wants to know who wants to walk with Elias. He says after what he did to Jason Jordan last week, he won’t be interrupting this performance. He says the only person in worse shape than Jason Jordan is Joe Flacco. Elias is going to perform the Ballad of Jason Jordan and there is a video accompanying it with the guitar shot from many angles.

Jason Jordan’s music interrupts and he makes his way to the ring. Elias swings and misses. Jordan with punches and he follows with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Jason picks up the guitar and he puts it in the corner and then Jordan stomps on it.

Backstage:

Miz, Curtis, and Bo try to leave but Kurt Angle stops him and complains about Miz arriving late and trying to leave early. Kurt tells Miz that they will stay until the end of the show… OR ELSE! We go to commercial.

In the Arena:

Enzo Amore makes his way to the ring and he joins Drew Gulak in the ring. Drew talks about the three ‘i’s and he says many would think he is talking about himself or Enzo Amore. Drew says he is describing Kurt Angle’s three ‘i’s. Drew mentions the fourth ‘i’ suggested by Stephanie. Enzo agrees and he says Kurt is handing out title matches like crazy. Enzo says Kalisto is not getting his title back. Drew says there is one word to describe Kalisto and he will spell it out to you. Drew spells SOFT the right way.

Drew Gulak (with Enzo Amore) vs. Kalisto

Kalisto kicks Drew but Drew with an Irish whip and clothesline into the corner. Drew with an Irish whip but Kalisto gets his boot up twice. Kalisto with a twisting back elbow off the turnbuckles. Kalisto with a kick and a handspring round kick and spike rana. Kalisto with Salida Del Sol for the three count.

Winner: Kalisto

After the match, Enzo attacks Kalisto and hits Eat Defeat on Kalisto.

– Back from the break and they plug tomorrow’s Fright Night Fatal 4 Way on WWE 205 Live with Mustafa Ali vs. Ariya Daivari vs. Tony Nese vs. Gran Metalik.

– The Miz is backstage with Axel and Bo, saying they almost had a clean getaway before Angle stopped them. Miz tells them to have their driver waiting so they can leave as soon as RAW is over.

RAW Women’s Title Match
Mickie James vs. Alexa Bliss

We go to the ring and out comes RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss for tonight’s main event. The winner of this match will face SmackDown Women’s Champion Natalya at Survivor Series. Mickie James is out next. We see video of Mickie dropping Bliss last week.

The bell rings and they lock up, tangling into the ropes. Bliss calls for a break but kicks Mickie with a cheap shot to the gut. Bliss grabs Mickie and talks trash before throwing her into a corner. Mickie slides through Bliss’ legs and takes her down. Mickie with a big shot for a 2 count in the middle of the ring. Mickie stops Bliss from going for a breather but Bliss turns it around, dropping her in the corner and stomping on her. Mickie ends up taking Bliss down with a hurricanrana from the top. Mickie sends Bliss to the floor. Bliss stays out for a breather. Mickie opens the rope and tells her to bring it but Bliss shakes her head. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Bliss has Mickie down on the mat. We see how Bliss drove Mickie head first into the ring post during the break. Mickie tries to make a comeback but Bliss levels her with a clothesline and takes her back to the mat.

Bliss talks trash while keeping Mickie down in the middle of the ring. Bliss shuts Mickie down again with a big forearm. Mickie ends up making a comeback but Mickie nails a neckbreaker out of a counter for a 2 count. Fans actually start a CM Punk chant.

Mickie fights back with strikes but Bliss shuts her down. Bliss tells Mickie to give up because her time is over. Bliss with more offense but Mickie looks to make another comeback and kips up. Mickie goes to the top but Bliss slams her to the mat by her neck.

Bliss goes to the top but Mickie knocks her off, causing her to land hard on the mat. The referee counts but Bliss brings her back into the ring. Mickie goes to the top and hits the Thesz Press for a close 2 count. Bliss goes to the floor but Mickie stops her from trying to escape. They bring it back into the ring and Mickie kicks Bliss in the face. Mickie with a 2 count and another pin attempt. Mickie with another roll-up into a bridge for a 2 count. Bliss comes right back and floors Mickie with a right hand for the pin out of nowhere.

Winner: Alexa Bliss

After the match, Bliss stands tall as her music hits. The cameras immediately cut backstage to The Miz leaving in a hurry with Axel and Dallas. We go back to the ring and see Bliss celebrating, raising the title in the air. We go to replays. Bliss continues her celebration as we go backstage to The Miztourage leaving in a hurry. They take seats in their car and aren’t worried any longer. Miz tells the driver to get to the airport. A trash truck appears in front and blocks them. Miz tells the driver to tell the truck to move. The truck backs up closer to the hood of the limo. The door of the trash truck raises as they start freaking out in the back of the limo. Braun Strowman appears from the trash and stands tall, yelling. The Miz, Axel and Dallas leave the car and run back into the arena. Braun runs after them.

We go back to the ring where Bliss is celebrating. Bo gets launched from the backstage area to the stage. Axel and Miz are out next as Braun stalks them. Axel and Bo attack but Braun fights them off. Braun grabs Miz and tosses him into the LED board but it doesn’t break. Braun brings Miz over to the announce table as the announcers leave in a hurry. Braun takes apart the announce table. Axel and Dallas attack from behind again but Braun fights them off. Braun tosses Bo down the ramp, then Axel. Miz tries to crawl to the back but Braun stops him. Braun sends Miz sliding down the ramp next. Braun brings Miz back into the ring and fights off the others again. Braun ends up hitting a running powerslam on Axel but fans want another. Braun delivers. Braun grabs Axel for another running powerslam in the middle of the ring. A terrified Miz watches from the ramp as Braun delivers another powerslam to Axel. Braun drops Axel again as Miz and Bo run off to the back. Braun scoops Axel onto his shoulder and carries him up the ramp. Braun stops and remembers the announce table. He runs over and sends Axel through the table with another powerslam. Braun stands tall as his music hits. RAW goes off the air with Braun marching to the back.
