– We go to the stage and The Singh Brothers introduce the WWE Champion and out he comes.
Jinder and The Singh Brothers hit the ring and Jinder hypes the main event, against what he calls two of his biggest rivals. He goes on about how he’s shown nothing but disrespect. The USA chants start up now. Jinder wonders who will pay for him being disrespected. The Singh Brothers speak up and take the blame for failing Jinder last week. They get emotional and apologize to the people of India, their family and then Jinder. They embarrassed Jinder last week but they vow that Nakamura will never touch Jinder again. They offer to publicly kiss Jinder’s royal feet. They drop down to their knees but the music interrupts and out comes Nakamura to a pop.
Nakamura hits the ring and gently pushes The Singh Brothers to the side. He’s about to go at it with Jinder but the triple team begins. The Singh Brothers beat Nakamura up as Jinder looks on. Jinder grabs Nakamura but the music hits and out comes Randy Orton to a pop. Orton fights off the brothers and goes to work on Jinder but Rusev hits the ring. Rusev beats Orton down as fans boo. Jinder and The Singh Brothers go back to work on Nakamura. Jinder hits The Khallas on Nakamura. Jinder’s music hits as the heels stand tall in the ring. Orton is down at ringside.
– Still to come, AJ Styles brings back the United States Title Open Challenge. We see Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin backstage walking. Back to commercial.

The Ascension vs. Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin
We go to the ring and The Ascension is out. Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin are out next as Greg Hamilton does the introductions.
Gable starts off with Viktor and they go at it. Gable takes control and unloads before tagging in Shelton for his return to the ring. Shelton works Viktor over and hits a suplex for a pin attempt. Gable tags in for a quick double team. Gale decks Konnor but gets launched to the floor by Viktor. We go to commercial.
Back from the break and Konnor is working Gable over. Gable tries for a tag but Konnor nails a big spinebuster for a 2 count. Viktor comes back in and keeps Gable down. Gable fights up and out but Viktor beats him into the corner. Konnor tags back in and talks trash to Shelton. Konnor scoops Gable but Gable slides out and reaches for a tag. Konnor sends him to the mat.
Konnor charges but hits the ring post as Gable moves. Shelton gets the tag and unloads as Viktor also tags in. Konnor runs in but Shelton takes him out, sending him to the floor. Shelton fights Viktor off and kicks him in the head. Shelton goes to the top and lands on Viktor but Konnor breaks the pin. Gable dumps Konnor to the floor. Shelton ends up dropping Viktor on his face for the pin.
Winners: Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable
After the match, Shelton and Gable celebrate as we go to replays. The celebration continues after the replay.

Baron Corbin is backstage walking when Renee Young approaches him for comments on “squandering” his Money In the Bank cash-in. He blames it on John Cena and says Cena went and hid from him on RAW, taking away his chance to right the wrong. Corbin says that’s life. He’s tired of people asking about the briefcase. He doesn’t live in the past like the WWE Universe. Corbin indicates he will answer AJ’s challenge and win the title tonight. He walks off. Back to commercial.
In the Arena:
WWE United States Champion AJ Styles heads to the ring and is ready for his open challenge. Styles grabs a mic and brings up Kevin Owens losing his chance to ever challenge for his title again as long as he holds it. He talks about re-opening the open challenge to the entire Smackdown Live roster and it starts right now.
Tye Dillinger walks out to accept the challenge. Baron Corbin walks out and cuts off Dillinger saying it is his turn. Dillinger shoves him away. Corbin attacks Dillinger and tells him to try and answer the challenge now. Corbin gets up on the ring apron when Dillinger attacks him inside the ring. Dillinger throws Corbin to the steel ring post and calls for the bell to ring to get the match officially started.
WWE United States Championship
AJ Styles (c) vs. Tye Dillinger
The bell rings and Dillinger chops away at Styles in the corner. Dillinger with shots to Styles in the corner. Styles with a big elbow to Dillinger from the ring apron. Dillinger catches Styles, Styles counters and locks on the Calf Crusher. Dillinger taps out.
Winner and still WWE United States Champion: AJ Styles
After the match, Baron Corbin pulls Tye Dillinger out and throws him at the barricade. AJ Styles catches Corbin with a forearm when he tries rolling inside the ring. Corbin is not happy and kicks the steel ring steps yelling at Styles. Styles holds up his title.
Backstage:
We see Rusev getting ready when Jinder Mahal walks in. He talks about Bulgaria and India coming together tonight. Rusev said tonight is only about revenge. He said Mahal isn’t his friend and that he came to Smackdown to become WWE Champion. Rusev said after they win tonight, he is coming after Mahal and the WWE Championship.
– Bobby Roode is in action next, but first… We go to commercial.
Mike Kanellis vs. Bobby Roode
Back from the break and Mike & Maria Kanellis are kissing in the ring. Bobby Roode’s entrance starts up and out he comes next.
They lock up and trade holds as fans start chanting for Roode. Roode takes Kanellis to the mat and shows off some. Roode does the “glorious” taunt next as fans cheer some more. They lock up again and Roode takes it to the corner as Maria yells from ringside. Kanellis comes out of the corner and takes Roode to another corner, unloading on him and stomping away.
The referee warns Kanellis. Roode comes out of the corner with chops to the chest. Kanellis with a right hand. Roode blocks the next move and unloads again. Roode with a clothesline in the corner. Kanellis runs into boots in the corner. Roode with a Blockbuster. Roode charges but runs into an elbow. Kanellis charges but Roode catches him in a spinebuster.
Roode waits for Kanellis to get up as fans do the “glorious!” taunt. Kanellis gets up but Roode hits him with the Glorious DDT for the win.

– Kevin Owens is shown walking backstage. Byron says we were scheduled to have a match but Owens is coming out instead. Back to commercial.
In the Arena:
Back from the break and Aiden English is in the ring singing. The music interrupts and out comes Kevin Owens marching to the ring. He tells Mr. English that none of these unrefined Arkansas hillbillies can recognize his talent. He asks Aiden to leave so he can get to his business. Aiden leaves the ring and Kevin appreciates. Kevin says he does not appreciate last week. Last week, they had an agreement that Kevin could pick the referee and instead, Shane McMahon got involved. We see what happened when Shane McMahon shamed Baron Corbin to relinquish his refereeing duties and took off the only referee’s shirt available for the match.
Kevin asks what gives Shane McMahon the right to put his hands on the official referee for the match? Then he puts on the referee shirt to make the three count. One year ago, the greatest moment in WWE history happened when he became the Universal Champion. Kevin stands here not a champion and he is without his United States Title because Shane McMahon screwed him out of it not once, but twice. This would not have happened on Raw. The lovely Stephanie McMahon would not have abused her power in such a manner. This is Smackdown, the Land of Opportunity. This is Shane McMahon’s personal playground…
Shane’s music plays and Kevin says he is out right on cue to take the spotlight away from the actual talent and make it all about himself.
Shane says he is here to help Kevin. He says Kevin needs an explanation for last week. You picked your referee for your match against AJ Styles and you picked Baron Corbin. Baron came out and was extremely biased and that made Shane come down. Baron left the ring and he was done. That match needed an official and he went into the ring and counted Kevin’s shoulders down for a three count.
Kevin says that Shane screwed him again. Shane says you can call it whatever you want. This conversation is over. The people watching Smackdown are tired of hearing you complain. Shane asks Kevin to leave the ring Aiden English has a match against… Sami Zayn. Kevin joins the commentary team and Kevin has some words for Byron Saxton.
Sami Zayn vs. Aiden English
Sami makes his way out as English waits in the ring. Owens joins the announcers for commentary. The bell rings and English kicks Sami to start things. English takes Sami to the corner and works him over.
English keeps control and covers for a 2 count. Sami comes back and sends English over the top rope. Sami runs the ropes and hits a big dive. Sami brings it back into the ring and keeps control for a 2 count. Owens is ranting on the referee. He’s tired of people not doing their jobs right. Owens enters the ring and takes the referee’s jersey off while English is mounting Sami in the corner.
Owens is trying to call the match now. Sami comes down off the top and argues with him, allowing English to attack from behind. Owens ends up hitting a pop-up powerbomb on Sami. English takes advantage and covers for the pin.
Winner: Aiden English
After the match, Owens raises English’s arm as his music plays. Owens goes to ringside and tosses the jersey back to the referee. Owens makes his exit while Sami tries to recover in the ring.

Backstage:
Back from the break and we see what just happened with Owens. Renee Young is backstage with Shane. He says that match does not count and Sami did not lose, the match will not be in the books. Shane says he was just told that Owens has left and Shane will be doing the same thing in just a few minutes. He walks off.
Backstage:
Dasha Fuentes is backstage with Dolph Ziggler. She asks what we can expect for the new side of him tonight. Ziggler says we can expect nothing because what he has in mind is going to take a little longer. He rants on becoming nothing more than an afterthought when he’s really a star. He once again takes shots at various WWE gimmicks, including Finn Balor by calling him a charisma vacuum. Ziggler says all the years of dedication and sacrifice have meant nothing so if we want all flash and no substance, that’s what we will get… next week.
The Usos vs. The New Day
We go to the ring and out comes SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos. The winner of this match will get to pick the stipulation for the title rematch. We see how The Usos won the titles at SummerSlam. Out next comes The New Day. Xavier Woods is with Big E and Kofi Kingston but he’s wearing a brace on his leg and an “It’s Sore” sign around his neck. We go to commercial.
Big E and Jimmy start things off and Jimmy with chops. Big E blocks an Irish whip and Big E with an abdominal stretch. Big E plays Jimmy’s rear end and then he hits a back elbow. Big E gets a near fall. Kofi tags in and Big E elevates Kofi over the top rope onto Jimmy and Jey. Kofi with a punch to Jimmy from the floor. Big E tags in and Kofi kicks Jimmy and then Big E with kicks and he sets for a splash on the apron but Jimmy moves. Jey with a running drop kick to Big E that sends him into the ringside barrier. Jey gets a near fall.
Jimmy tags back in and he hits a hesitation drop kick in the corner. Jimmy with punches in the corner. Jimmy runs into the corner but Big E with a uranage. Jey and Kofi tag in and Kofi with a chop off the turnbuckles followed by chops and a drop kick. Kofi with a jumping clothesline and then he sets for the Boom Drop and hits it. Kofi sets for Trouble in Paradise but Jey moves and Jey with a thrust kick. Kofi with a double jump cross body for a near fall. Jimmy sends Kofi into the corner and then he hits a super kick on Big E.
Kofi with a pendulum kick to Jimmy. Kofi leaps over Jey and Jey goes for a Samoan drop but Kofi with a dragon sleeper. Kofi knocks Jimmy off the apron and Jey goes for a German suplex but Kofi goes for an O’Connor Roll but Jimmy makes the tag and gets the three count with a rollup.

Backstage:
We go to the back and James Ellsworth takes the mic. He introduces Carmella. James asks Carmella what is next. She says she is never telling James anything. Last week, he blabbed her plans and Nattie found out. James asks about the flowers he got her and Carmella asks if he stole them from a funeral home. Natalya shows up and she tells Carmella if she tries to cash in, she will make Carmella the Baron Corbin of the Women’s Division. Natalya tells Carmella she is going to get her revenge for last week when they meet next week.
Naomi shows up after James and Carmella leave. Naomi tells Natalya she should take a cat nap since Natalya has a tough two weeks. Naomi says that after Natalya’s match against Carmella next week, Naomi gets her rematch in two weeks. We go to commercial.
– We are back and Lana is in the ring to introduce the woman who is leading the ravishing revolution. She is the most feared Superstar in WWE. She brings out the future Smackdown women’s champion, Tamina Snuka.
Tamina Snuka vs. Tina Stock
Tina with kicks and forearms but Tamina pushes Tina to the mat. Lana tells Tamina to crush and Tamina sends Tina into the turnbuckles and Tamina with head butts. Tamina with a running knee into the corner followed by a biel. Tamina with a thrust kick for the three count.
Winner: Tamina Snuka
– After the match, Tamina throws Tina to the floor. Photographers come into the ring to commemorate her victory.
The Fashion Files:
It is time for the Fashion Files and it is the Season Two Premiere.
They are in their office with a sign that says Two B and the people on the board have BB initials. Tyler says it is time to solve the crimes after their vacation. Tyler shows the new technology from the lab. Tyler shows that they have high frequency listening devices. He shows him a black light. Fandango says he has a title but Fandango tells him it is a belt. Tyler has friendship bracelets and they make a friendshiip stronger. Tyler asks if they want to test some things out. Tyler uses the black light. They see arrows in the black light and they go in a circle. Fandango adjusts the box and it shows Two B or not Two B. Tyler says that is the answer. They turn the lights back on and Tyler mentions Shakespeare, poetry, and artist. Fandango asks Tyler to speak in English and they both say Aiden English.
Jinder Mahal and Rusev vs. Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura
Back from a break and Shinsuke Nakamura makes his entrance. WWE Champion Jinder Mahal, Rusev and The Singh Brothers are already out. Randy Orton is out next.
Orton and Nakamura dump Mahal and Rusev out of the ring right away. Brawling breaks out at ringside as Orton sends Rusev into the barricade, while Nakamura tosses Mahal over the timekeepers barricade. Orton and Nakamura return to the ring as we head to a break. We go to commercial.
The match is joined in progress and Nakamura misses a kick on Mahal but he hits a spinning heel kick and both men are down. Mahal keeps Nakamura from making the tag and grabs the leg. Mahal punches Nakamura. Mahal with a knee to the back and a rear chin lock. Nakamura stomps on the foot and hits a jaw breaker. Orton tags in and punches Mahal and follwos with head butts and European uppercuts in the corner. Mahal with an Irish whip but Orton goes for an RKO after avoiding a clothesline. Mahal goes to the floor and Orton with a body block on the floor.
Orton with a back drop driver onto the ringside barrier. Orton gets back into the ring and he sets for the IEDDT but Mahal gets into the ring. Orton with a fallaway slam and Mahal rolls to the apron. The Singhs get on the apron and Mahal sends Orton to the floor. Rusev sends Orton into the ring post. Rusev tags in and he kicks Orton on the floor. Rusev sends Orton back into the ring and he gets a near fall.
Mahal chokes Orton while Rusev argues with the referee. Rusev with a front face lock. Orton with a head butt, but Rusev with a flying heel kick for a near fall. Mahal tags in and Rusev kicks Orton before going to the apron. Mahal with a leaping knee drop for a near fall. Mahal with a cravate. Mahal with an Irish whip but Orton moves when Mahal charges into the corner and Mahal hits the ring post shoulder first.
Rusev and Nakamura tag in and Nakamura with a running boot to the head. Nakamura with kicks to the chest. Rusev blocks a kick and Nakamura with an enzuigiri. Nakamura with a running knee into the corner and he puts Rusev onto the turnbuckles and hits a running knee to the midsection. Nakamura gets a near fall. Nakamura sets for the reverse exploder but Rusev with elbows. Nakamura with a cross arm breaker and Mahal kicks Nakamura. Orton sends Mahal to the apron and Orton hits a DDT. Rusev avoids an RKO but Orton with a kick and Nakamura with a knee from the turnbuckles followed by Kinshasa for the three count.
Winners: Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton
After the match, Nakamura and Orton celebrate the tag team win. We see a replay leading to the finish. Back live, they continue to pose and smile at each other. Orton with an RKO out of no where on Nakamura. Orton and Nakamura will face off next week to determine who gets the next shot at the WWE Championship.
Smackdown comes to a close in Little Rock with Orton posing on the corner.
