Possible Plans For Nakamura vs. Jinder Mahal at SummerSlam, Backstage Reaction After Cena Scary Spot

As seen on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live, there was a suplex spot during the John Cena vs. Nakamura match that saw Cena land on his neck/shoulder after taking a suplex from Nakamura.

It’s being said that people backstage in WWE reacted to the spot as a fluke incident and there is no backstage heat on Nakamura, especially since Nakamura was quick to apologize to Cena in the ring and Cena told him not to be sorry.

Speaking of Nakamura, Dave Meltzer speculated in the latest installment of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Nakamura will defeat Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship title at this month’s SummerSlam event. He also noted that Nakamura will most-likely be screwed by Baron Corbin by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract directly after the match.

Meltzer noted that Corbin was being groomed for a run with the WWE Championship title earlier this year, however those plans were before they decided to push the Indian market and put the title on Mahal.
