As seen in the gifs and video below, WWE aired some live, post Smackdown footage, on their WWE Network.
As Shinsuke Nakamura continue to celebrate his victory over John Cena, Baron Corbin attacks the new #1 Contender with the briefcase and punches him. Cena goes after Corbin and punches Corbin.
Corbin and Cena exchange blows and then Baron rearranges the announce table and ring steps. Corbin sends Cena into the ring steps. Corbin then climbs the steps but Cena gets Corbin on his shoudlers and sends Mr. Money In The Bank through the table with an Attitude Adjustment.
Cena returns to the ring and they shake hands again. Cena raises Nakamura’s hand and he leaves the ring.
It’s unclear if the briefcase shot was supposed to air during the close of tonight’s show, but it did not make the USA Network broadcast of the show, and may have been cut off due to the start of tonight’s episode of ‘Shooter’.
