With Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor set to do battle next month in the boxing ring in what is being dubbed as the fight of the century by boxing and MMA fans, we thought we’d take a look at which WWE stars of today might be able to form a successful career in boxing.

They don’t come any tougher than Brock Lesnar in wrestling. The WWE Universal champion is a former MMA athlete himself so knows all about switching sports. Lesnar was the man who ended The Undertaker’s incredible stretch at Wrestlemania when he inflicted The Deadman’s first-ever defeat at the event in 2014.
Lesnar does not back down from any opponent or challenge. The 286-pound athlete would no doubt relish the opportunity in the boxing ring if it was presented to him and it would be no surprise to him involved in a boxing or MMA contest within the WWE in the near future.
Since joining the main WWE roster in 2015 from NXT, Kevin Owens has wasted no time in making an impact on Raw and Smackdown as he has held the Intercontinental, United States and Universal Championships. Owens is nicknamed K.O and The Prizefighter, which says a lot about his wrestling style. The Canadian is one of the toughest wrestlers in the WWE today and it would be very interesting to see him tackle boxing.
AJ Styles

When you look through history, some of the best boxers to ever perform in the sport have character and are flamboyant; the biggest of them all was Mohammad Ali. AJ Styles is a wrestler who would fit that bill but at the same time, the talented athlete should not be underestimated because as we have seen since he re-joined the WWE in January 2016, he has already won the WWE Championship.
One of Styles’ biggest strengths is his speed. He is very sharp around the ring and is, therefore, tough to hit. Styles has been in some of the best matches of 2016 and 2017, and one of the reasons for that is because he is very tough. If he could transfer those attributes to the boxing ring, he could prove equally as successful in the sport; perhaps in a similar mould to Floyd Mayweather, who is likely to attract the most bets at -550 with Paddy Power to beat McGregor in their clash in Las Vegas. ‘Money’ famously faced The Big Show at Wrestlemania XXIV where he beat the WWE man, so anything is possible going forward.
Rusev
Rusev is a former rower and powerlifter and joined the WWE in 2013 when he signed up to the NXT roster. The Bulgarian is a huge athlete and in great shape for his size. Clearly, if the former United States Champion was to join boxing, he would go straight into the heavyweight division. It would be very interesting to see him take on some of the giants in boxing like Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder.
The WWE has hosted some of the biggest stars of the boxing world including Ali, Mayweather and Butterbean. It will be interesting to see which boxing stars they choose to invite in the future.
