– It looks like GFW will be taping 12 episodes of Impact during the August tapings in Orlando, which would be the most the company has ever taped in one set. As noted, Destination X will air live on Thursday, August 17th and then they will tape through the night of August 22nd. The final two nights of tapings were added just this week.

– As noted last monday, former TNA Tag Team Champion Davey Richards is no longer with GFW and PWInsider notes that the release was unconditional, meaning Davey can appear for any wrestling promotion going forward. Davey noted on Twitter that he asked for the release, choosing medical school over GFW. Richards is headed into his last few years of medical school.
– As noted, GFW announced this week that the Impact live event scheduled for Saturday, August 6th in Bridgeport, CT has been canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances and logistical challenges.” PWInsider reports that the decision was made to nix the event because ticket sales were much lower than the other two events scheduled for that weekend in New York. It’s worth noting that the company received strong promotion from a major FM radio station in the Bridgeport area but sales were still slow.
