As seen on RAW in recent weeks, the company has been teasing a partial reunion of The Shield with both Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. The duo teamed up on Raw this week and defeated The Miz and his Miztourage in a main event Handicap Match.
According to Sportskeeda, the current plan is for The Shield reunion to continue, as Ambrose and Rollins are currently scheduled to team up and challenge for the WWE Raw Tag Team Titles at SummerSlam.
Original SummerSlam plans called for Sheamus and Cesaro to defend The Raw Tag Titles in a multi-team match, with Ambrose and Rollins facing The Miz in a Triple Threat, however the decision was later made to continue with the two man Shield reunion, and have them challenge Cesaro and Sheamus for the Tag Titles at SummerSlam.
With regards to the third member of The Shield, Roman Reigns, there is no word as to whether or not WWE plans to insert him back into The Shield story line along with Ambrose and Rollins.
