WWE RAW Results – Jun 26, 2017

WWE RAW Openr:

We’re live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles as Michael Cole welcomes us. He’s joined by Corey Graves and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. We go right to the ring and out comes Roman Reigns to a mixed reaction.

We see what happened last week when Braun Strowman and his ambulance returned to Raw.

Roman listens to the crowd prefer to see his opponent at the pay per view.Roman says he is going to call it like it is and he says if you give him a moment, you might like it. Last week on Raw, Samoa Joe finally put the Kokina Clutch on him and put him to sleep. When he was done, Braun Strowman returned and he came out like a coward when Roman was down and he picked the bones. Then he challenged Roman to an ambulance match at Great Balls of Fire. Roman says he has been in a lot of matches but never an Ambulance Match, but he accepts the challenge. He will put Strowman in that ambluance, close the door, and drive you straight to hell. Roman says this is his yard.

An ambulance arrives in the arena and backs into the corner of the crowd.

Roman leaves the ring and walks to the ambulance. Roman looks inside and then he looks around. Roman opens the ambulance and no one is in there. Strowman attacks Roman from the side and sends him into the barrier and then throws him onto the stage by the throat. Roman punches Strowman and Strowman almost falls off the stage. Strowman blocks the Superman punch and Roman is tossed into the side of the ambulance. Strowman puts Reigns in the ambulance and drives away.

– Still to come, WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is here. Also, Finn Balor and The Hardy Boyz vs. Elias Samson, Sheamus and Cesaro. We go to commercial.

– We go to the ring and JoJo introduces Elias Samson. He has a spotlight, his guitar and the RAW Tag Team Champions with him. Samson says he’s usually a solo act but tonight he thought they would form a trio to give the crowd a song they deserve. Samson starts playing but the music interrupts and out comes The Hardys.

The Hardys and Finn Balor vs. Elias Samson, Cesaro and Sheamus

The Hardys come out and wait as Finn Balor makes his entrance. They hit the ring together as their opponents look on.

Matt and Sheamus start things off and they lock up. Sheamus with a European uppercut and head butts. Sheamus with a European uppercut and Matt with a kick and punch. Jeff tags in and they Irish whip Sheamus into the turnbuckles and Jeff with Poetry in Motion. Matt and Jeff with a double suplex to Cesaro and Balor goes after Samson as we go to commercial.

We are back and Cesaro tags in. Matt tags in and then Balor tags in and punches and kicks Cesaro. Balor with a snap mare and boots to the midsection. Balor with more boots to Cesaro. Cesaro with a sunset flip but Balor rolls through and drop kicks Cesaro for a near fall. Cesaro puts Balor on the apron and Sheamus tags in and connects with forearms across the chest. Samson kicks Balor in the ribs when Sheamus distracts the referee. Cesaro tags in and they kick Balor.

Samson tags in and kicks Balor in the midsection. Balor sends Samson into the corner and punches him but Sheamus tags in and hits a forearm to the kidneys and follows with a tilt-a-whirl power slam. Sheamus gets Balor on his shoulder for a back breaker. Jeff tags in and punches Sheamus and follows with a running forearm and reverse atomic drop and leg drop to the midsection. Jeff gets a near fall. Jeff with a kick and Sheamus avoids a Twist of Fate. Sheamus goes into the ring post shoulder first and Jeff goes up top but Cesaro pulls Sheamus to the floor.

Jeff with a cross body onto Cesaro on the floor. Jeff punches Samson on the apron but Samson holds the leg and Sheamus with a jumping knee to Jeff and he gets a near fall when Jeff gets his foot on the ropes.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Samson with a clothesline to Jeff and he kicks Jeff. Sheamus with a uranage back breaker for a near fall. Cesaro tags in and Cesaro wit a double sledge off the turnbuckles for a near fall. Cesaro with a front face lock. Cesaro with a boot to Balor but Jeff with a back body drop. Sheamus tags in and Jeff hits a Twist of Fate. Samson and Matt tag in and Matt with forearms and then he sends Samson into all three turnbuckles. Matt with a running clothesline followed by a bulldog and Side Effect for a near fall when Sheamus breaks up the cover. Cesaro sends Matt into the ring post and Sheamus tags in. Cesaro tags in and they hit the spike White Noise but Balor breaks up the cover.

Matt with a jaw breaker and Balor tags in and hits a forearm and clothesline on Cesaro. He knocks Sheamus and Samson off the apron. Balor with a running kick to Samson from the apron followed by an enzuigiri to Cesaro and he avoids a Brogue Kick. Sheamus is sent to the floor and Balor with a plancha onto Sheamus and Cesaro. Balor with Slingblade to Cesaro and then he hits a running drop kick. Balor goes up top for Coup De Grace and Matt with a Twist of Fate to stop Sheamus and Jeff with a cannonball to Samson off the apron.

Balor with Coup de Grace for the three count.

Winners: Finn Balor, Matt Hardy, and Jeff Hardy

Backstage:

We have the latest from Shattered Dreams Production. Goldust says It’s Showtime and there is truly something magical in the air. Can you feel it? Can you taste it? Are you on the edge of your seats? Goldust says the anticipation makes him tingle. He tells Truth he understands if he is nervous. Even the biggest stars suffer from stage fright. When the red light goes on, you must move forward and bring your A Game. You must shine… like gold. Tonight he puts the finishing touch on his masterpiece. Goldust asks if you like a happy ending. The Golden Age is back. Back to commercial.

Goldust vs. R-Truth

Back from the break and out comes Goldust in his retro suit. He also has a cameraman dressed in gold. R-Truth is out next and he’s ready to fight. Goldust puts his cameraman in the way and decks Truth with a cheap shot to start. The cameraman is still filming the attack up close as the referee tries to get him out.

Goldust goes to the floor and slams Truth’s shoulders into the ring post. The referee warns him. Goldust poses in the corner and looks down at Truth. The bell never rang.

Backstage:

Charly Caruso is backstage with Paul Heyman. She brings up how social media is on fire because of Brock Lesnar’s appearance tonight. Heyman says the Staples Center will be on fire because Lesnar is here to call out Samoa Joe for a fight, a fight Samoa Joe… Joe comes from behind and grabs Heyman for a choke but just teases him. Joe says he’s not going to waste the Coquina Clutch on Heyman but he will use it on his client later tonight.

– Still to come, The Ball Family is on MizTV. We go to commercial.

– Michael Cole shows us what happened last week to lead to tonight’s Gauntlet Match to determine who faces Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Title at Great Balls of Fire.

– Kurt Angle is in the back spinning his cage of balls for the women to select their spots in the gauntlet. Bayley is first and she is satisfied about her pick.

MizTV:

We go to the ring for another edition of MizTV. Out comes WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz with Maryse.

Miz says after exposing Dean Ambrose for the fraud he is, Miz and wife Maryse have never been happier. She rolls her eyes and doesn’t look thrilled. Miz says he has an announcement that will change WWE forever. He gives an introduction to his guests for tonight – 15 year old basketball player LaMelo Ball and his outspoken father LaVar Ball. Some of their Big Baller Brand apparel is on display in the ring. LaVar introduces the other guest and calls him the new face of the NBA’s LA Lakers – Lonzo Ball.

Miz congratulates Lonzo and he says he’s happy to be in the Staples Center as a Laker for the first time. Miz gives LaVar props and says it’s an honor to sit in the ring with the family. Miz says the partnership with BBB is a dream come true. LaVar says they only have 3 letters, they’re not here for a partnership. LaVar says Miz is a little too low for them right now, they were thinking someone higher than Miz. This leads to LaVar getting up and having words with Miz in the middle of the ring. Miz says he’s the Michael Jordan of WWE. LaVar tells Lonzo to handle his light work for him. Miz doesn’t want to deal with his kids, he wants to deal with LaVar because all he does is talk a lot. Miz wants him to prove it. LaVar threatens Miz. They take their shirts off and face off but the music interrupts and out comes Ambrose.

Ambrose comes out wearing a BBB t-shirt. LaVar continues to act ridiculous and talk trash to Miz. Ambrose says just a few words before his music hits. He stares Miz down from the stage. We go to commercial before a tag match.

Miz, Bo Dallas, and Curtis Axel vs. Heath Slater, Rhyno, and Dean Ambrose

Dean works over Bo and Miz tags in and he goes to the floor. Axel tags in and Dean with punches. Slater tags in and hits a forearm off the turnbuckles. Slater works on the arm and wrist. and Rhyno tags in. Rhyno with a back elbow and he works on the shoulder. Rhyno with head butts but Axel with a knee. Axel runs Rhyno into the corner and Miz tags in and punches Rhyno. Miz with chops to Rhyno and Rhyno wants more. Rhyno with a kick and he sends Miz into the turnbuckles and chops and punches Miz. Miz with a hard Irish whip.

Miz punches Rhyno and then he tags in Bo. Bo kicks Rhyno and Axel tags in. Axel punches Rhyno and applies a head lock. Rhyno with a punch but Axel with a knee and he runs into an elbow. Rhyno with a clothesline and both men are down. Dean tags in and he hits a clothesline on Axel and then hits a neck breaker on Ambrose. Ambrose with a bulldog and clothesline. Dean sets for the double underhook DDT but Miz escapes.

Miz, Dallas, and Axel are sent to the floor as we go to commercial.

We are back and Axel with an arm bar to Slater. We see footage from the commercial break when Dallas attacked Slater from behind. Back to live action and Axel punches Slater. Bo tags in and he clotheslines Slater and then Axel with a knee. Bo sends Miz into the corner for an Awesome Clothesline on Slater. Miz punches Slater and then he does his Kicks of Yes. Slater sends Miz into the mat and both men are down. Bo tags in and he stops Slater from making the tag. Dallas with knees to the back of the neck.

Bo chokes Slater in the ropes and he connects with a cross face. Bo sends Slater into the turnbuckles and Axel tags in and he punches Slater. Axel with a snap mare and leap frog neck snap. Axel with an elbow and Slater with a punch. Slater with a jumping neck breaker and both men are down. Miz tags in and knocks Ambrose off the apron. Slater with a jumping leg lariat to Miz and both men are down.

Rhyno and Bo tag in and Rhyno with a clothesline followed by a running shoulder into the corner. Bo with elbows to stop a belly-to-belly suplex. Rhyno with a spinebuster but Miz breaks up the cover. Ambrose chases Miz and Axel hits Rhyno and Bo gets the three count.

Winners: Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, and Miz

– Paul Heyman is in the back and he is waiting for Brock Lesnar to arrive.

– It is time to take a look at a video package for the history of Enzo Amore and Big Cass and the crash that ended the friendship.

– Enzo Amore walks in the back and we go to commercial.

In the Arena:

Back from the break and out comes Enzo Amore with a mic. He does his intro and says he’s not doing too good but this isn’t about him, it’s about the realest GUYS in the room. Enzo takes off his jacket and says he’s called Big Cass all week, sent him text messages and direct messages, even spoke with his mother, but Cass doesn’t want to handle this in private. Enzo says he’s done some stupid things and this won’t be the last but he doesn’t care how stupid he looks standing in the ring tonight – he and Cass have to talk right now. The music hits and out comes Cass to a few boos.

They stand across the ring from each other and Enzo says he knows that Cass hears the crowd. Enzo says he knows that reaction hurts Cass because he knows Cass better than anyone in the world. Enzo says that Cass said a lot of things last week and he was right about those things. Enzo says he is not the biggest guy in the world, but he might have the biggest mouth in the world and that mouth may bite off more than it can chew. Enzo says he had Cass behind him.

They were like brothers and last week, Cass might have broken his heart and his face. They are brothers and that is a bond he will not let Cass break. Enzo says he saw passion and anger in Cass’s eyes. He saw hate and love in Cass’s eyes. Enzo says that he sees it in Cass and they are family. He needs to focus on the future of his family. He will not let Cass break that bond before they become WWE Tag Team Champions.

Cass tells Enzo he does not know when to shut up. He says he has to be honest. After what he did last week, he has never been so ashamed in his life. Enzo is annoying and loud and he constantly runs his mouth. Cass says he is not going to change him and he will not change him. They are brothers and in front of the world, he wants to tell his brother that he is sorry. He is sorry for everything he said and did over the last five weeks.

Cass offers his hand and Enzo and Enzo has to think about it. They shake hands and hug. Cass adds some emphasis on the hug and then Cass says if anyone thought they were going throw their friendship away over this.

Enzo and Cass leave together and pose on the stage. Cass raises Enzo’s arm but turns and floors him with a clothesline. Cass yells out to the crowd and mocks Enzo. Cass launches Enzo down the ramp and makes his exit.

– Still to come, Seth Rollins. Back to commercial.

– Back from the break and Big Cass approaches the announce table. He confronts Corey Graves and says Graves must have some good dirt on Kurt Angle because Angle told him he can’t lay a finger on Graves. Cass warns Graves to stay out of his business.

Seth Rollins vs. Curt Hawkins

We go to the ring and out comes Seth Rollins while Curt Hawkins waits in the ring.

Hawkins takes the mic and asks who thinks he’s about to win the match, then who thinks he’s about to lose the match. He says we’ll just have to watch and find out. The bell rings and Hawkins goes to work on Rollins, taking control.

Hawkins with a big clothesline for a 1 count. Hawkins mounts Rollins with rights. Hawkins stands tall and talks some trash as fans boo. Hawkins with another slam for a 1 count. Hawkins with more offense and a suplex for another 1 count. Hawkins keeps Rollins grounded now. Rollins looks to make a comeback but Hawkins fires back. Rollins kicks Hawkins from the apron and nails a suicide dive into the barrier. Rollins brings it back into the ring and hits a Slingblade.

Rollins boots Hawkins in the corner and nails a blockbuster. Rollins springboards in and takes Hawkins down again. Rollins goes for a kick but Hawkins catches it and rolls him up. Rollins counters with a kick to the jaw. Rollins nails the knee to the face for the win.

Winner: Seth Rollins

After the match, Rollins stands tall until the graphic flashes and Bray Wyatt appears on the big screen. Wyatt cuts a promo and warns Rollins – he is in his mind and he is everywhere. Wyatt reveals that they will face each other at Great Balls of Fire. Wyatt warns Rollins to give in to his true self or he will burn.

– We go backstage to Kurt Angle, Mickie James and Dana Brooke. They draw their numbers for tonight’s main event.

– We see Paul Heyman backstage waiting for his client. A car pulls up and out hops the WWE Universal Champion. They walk in and Lesnar looks pissed. Back to commercial.

– We are back and it is time for Sasha Banks to choose her number and she is happy.

In the Arena:

Paul Heyman is in the ring and he introduces himself and he says he is the advocate for the beast that instills fear in the face of everyone who enters the ring with him, BROCK LESNAR. Paul says there is one exception that defies that rule. The fearless Samoa Joe. Samoa Joe does not fear Brock Lesnar. Samoa Joe stepped into this ring and pulled a cheap shot on Brock. . .

Paul says if he wanted to start a fight in the locker room, he would make a cheap shot so everyone would pile on to separate them. Brock was held back and then Joe hit cheap shot number two when he kicked Brock in the face. One would think by now, Samoa Joe would have some fear in his heart for Brock Lesnar. Samoa Joe remains fearless. Is that impressive to him? No, it means that Samoa Joe is a Samoan Dumbass.

Samoa Joe is not burdened with great intelligence, but it takes a smart man to know when to fear. Paul tells Joe it is time to start fearing Brock Lesnar. While you hae enjoyed the anticipation, now bathroom break is over. It is time to hit record and it is the moment you will talk about tomorrow.

Paul introduces the beast and conqueror who will call out Samoa Joe tonight for a fight… BROCK LESNAR.

Lesnar bounces on the stage and prepares to head to the ring but Joe attacks from behind and tries to get him in the Coquina Clutch. Lesnar fights it but Joe doesn’t give up. They fight towards the LED screens and Lesnar sends them into one but Joe keeps the clutch locked. Lesnar is fading as his face turns red. Joe gets Lesnar down to the ground but here comes The Revival and others to break it up. Joe is taken backstage. Lesnar tries to recover but he’s in bad shape. We go to commercial.

– Back from the break and we see what just happened to Brock.

Lince Dorado vs. Neville

We go to the ring and out comes Lince Dorado. We see Akira Tozawa at ringside in the special Titus Brand VIP section. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville is out next for this non-title match.

Back and forth to start as Tozawa watches from ringside. Dorado eventually dropkicks Neville to the apron and nails another kick to the floor. Dorado runs the ropes and hits a dive to the floor. He brings it back in and hits a crossbody from the top for a 2 count.

Neville grabs for the mask and turns the match around with kicks. Neville goes on and gets the Rings of Saturn applied for the win.

Winner: Neville

After the match, Neville stands tall and stares down Tozawa from the ring. Neville lays the title down and invites Tozawa into the ring. Tozawa takes off his jacket and enters the ring but the music hits and out comes Titus O’Neil. Titus asks why would they fight for free right now. He just finalized a match between the two at Great Balls of Fire. He hypes Tozawa as the newest member of Titus Worldwide and says we will soon find out if the level of Neville compares with the power of Tozawa.

– We see Emma backstage with Angle to draw her number for the main event. Back to commercial.

– We take a look back at how Raw started and we are told that Roman got out of the ambulance and is looking for Braun.

Backstage:

Paul Heyman walks in the back and he is ambushed for comments about what happened between Samoa Joe and Brock Lesnar. Paul says that Samoa Joe proved everything he said about him. Joe is the Samoan that Samoans do not want to be associated with. Joe had to sneak behind his client to choke him out. If Joe applies that hold in 13 days, he will have an ex-champion as his client. Paul says he is loving every minute of this. Brock has his back against the wall, so his client cannot be jumped from behind. Paul says this will be a down and dirty fight to a brutal finish. Joe will finally be taken to Suplex City and given an F-5. He will finally be conquered and victimized. Joe will wake up in the trainer’s room and he will ask if that is what it is like to fight the beast… Goodness gracious Great Balls of Fire.

Backstage:

Alexa stops Nia Jax in the back and asks her what number did she get. Alexa says they are alike. She has been judged by people. No one expected her to succeed. Even her mother laughed. They are both judged on how they look and that is not right. It is not easy to be judged. Whether you go out first, last or in between, there is not a single woman in that match who can drag her down. Nia thanks Alexa and Alexa wishes her luck. Nia says she does not need it and she will face Alexa for the title at Great Balls of Fire. We go to commercial.

Gauntlet Match: Bayley, Sasha Banks, Nia Jax, Emma, Dana Brooke, Mickie James

We go to the ring and out comes Bayley for tonight’s main event. The winner will go on to face RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss at Great Balls of Fire. Nia Jax is out next to start the match off.

Nia talks some trash as they meet in the middle of the ring. Bayley stomps on her foot and goes to work but can’t knock Jax over. Jax scoops her and launches her into the corner. Jax keeps control dominating Bayley and talks more trash. Bayley finally makes a comeback and covers for a 2 count. Bayley goes right back to work but Nia tries fighting back. Bayley continues focusing on the leg. Nia kicks her back into the corner.

Bayley goes to the top but Nia knocks her down and she lands hard. Nia with the Samoan Drop for the pin. Bayley is eliminated. Mickie James is out next as Nia gets to her feet. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Nia has Mickie down in the corner. Mickie looks to make a comeback but Nia applies a bearhug. Mickie fights back and gets free. They go on and Mickie nails a Thesz Press from the top. Nia pushes Mickie off but she comes back with a Mick Kick. Nia blocks the DDT and tosses Mickie across the ring. Nia floors Mickie and covers for the pin. Mickie has been eliminated. Dana Brooke is out next.

They meet in the middle of the ring and Dana shoves her. Nia comes right back and goes on to nail a big leg drop for the quick pin. Dana has been eliminated. Emma is out next.

Emma heads to the ring as Nia looks on. Emma slides in but slides right back out. Nia grabs her by hr hair. Emma takes advantage and comes in with a dropkick. Emma with another shot for a 2 count. Emma goes to the top for a crossbody but Nia catches her in mid-air and turns it into a Samoan Drop. Nia gets the pin and Emma has been eliminated. Sasha Banks is out next.

Sasha hits the ring and unloads. Nia grabs her but Sasha hits a jawbreaker. Sasha with a big shot to the face, telling Nia to bring it. Nia charges but gets sent to the floor. Sasha goes for a dive but Nia catches her in mid-air. Nia goes for a Samoan Drop on the floor but Sasha rams her into the ring post. Sasha goes to the apron and nails the double knees. Sasha stands tall on the floor as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Nia has Sasha down in a headlock. Nia tosses Sasha to the floor and takes a breather in the ring. The referee counts while Sasha is down on the floor. Sasha comes back in but Nia sends her to the corner. Nia walks into a big boot. Sasha with knees in the corner, and again. Sasha charges again but Nia catches her and floors her coming off the ropes. Nia covers for a 2 count.

Nia tosses Sasha back to the floor and tells the referee to count. Sasha comes back in and looks to turn it around but Nia drops her. Nia keeps control and mocks Sasha. Nia scoops Sasha and slams her on the mat. Nia drops an elbow and covers for another pin attempt. Nia tosses Sasha back to the floor and tells the referee to count. Sasha comes back in but Nia keeps her down. Nia continues to dominate Sasha, covering for another 2 count. Nia drags Sasha to the corner and kicks her out of the ring again. The referee starts counting but Sasha makes it back in.

Nia grabs Sasha and applies another bearhug. Sasha looks to turn it around with a choke but Nia counters with a suplex. Nia with another 2 count. Sasha blocks a suplex attempt but Nia goes for it anyway. Sasha counters and tries to roll-up Sasha. Nia goes for a leg drop but Sasha moves and she lands hard. Sasha drops Nia with an elbow to the jaw. More back and forth. Sasha tries for the Banks Statement but Nia overpowers her. Nia catches Sasha in a big Samoan Drop but she’s slow to make the pin as Sasha rolls under the bottom rope. Sasha fights back from the mat. Nia talks some trash and grabs Sasha by her hair. Nia goes for another big Samoan Drop but Sasha counters into a modified Banks Statement attempt. Sasha with a submission while on Nia’s back. Nia goes to both knees as Sasha has the Banks Statement locked.

Sasha keeps the hold locked until Nia taps out for the finish.

Winner and New #1 Contender: Sasha Banks

– After the match, Sasha celebrates as the music hits and out comes RAW GM Kurt Angle to “you suck!” chants and a pop. Angle enters the ring and raises Sasha’s arm as her music plays. The music interrupts as RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss marches to the ring. Bliss smiles and raises the title in Sasha’s face in the middle of the ring. Sasha drops her. Sasha raises the title in the air as Bliss watches from outside of the ring. Bliss tries to grab the title but Sasha pulls it back and raises it again. Sasha’s music hits as Angle stands near her in the ring. Bliss gets her title back but Sasha stands tall as her music plays and RAW goes off the air.
