How Predictable Have WWE Become?

World Wrestling Entertainment also known as WWE is an entertainment company that mainly focuses on wrestling. Since 2016, WWE has held the distinction as being the largest wrestling promoters with over 500 events annually in many different countries. There has been much debate over the years as to whether the actual competitions are really chance events or carefully scripted stories.

WWE doesn’t claim to be a sport of random events. They do in fact market themselves as sports entertainment. Fans that watch the sport expect the drama that results from the matches being planned much as a story would be. The match’s length is predetermined as well as the outcome. While there is a referee in the ring, their main purpose to keep time and signal the wrestlers as to when a match should be ending. They also keep tabs on the welfare of the wrestlers.

Despite the choreographed nature of the sport, many online sites have been created with the purpose of predicting the outcome. While same say this is challenging, others find it rather easy to predict. They claim that by following WWE over time, it is possible to determine patterns of the writers which can help made prediction easier. Unlike other sports, studying the skills of the wrestlers won’t doesn’t really figure into the betting. In reality, very few people are privy to the scripted outcomes of the matches which often have nothing to do with ability.

Given the popularity of the WWE, sportsbooks offer bets on the match outcomes. The betting sites provide betting odds for these outcomes as they do for other events and quite a bit of money can be made from wagering on the WWE. Online casinos have also found ways in which to appeal to WWE fans. They offer many different slot machine games with themes designed around wrestling and WWE.

So despite, WWE wrestling being sports entertainment rather than a true competition, fans continue to flock to events around the world.
