WWE RAW Results – Apr. 10, 2017

Tonight’s “Superstar Shakeup” edition of WWE RAW opens with the normal video package.

– We’re live from Long Island with Michael Cole, Corey Graves and Byron Saxton. They hype tonight’s “Shakeup” when John Cena’s music hits and we go to the ring.

– The Miz and Maryse come out dressed as John Cena and Nikki Bella instead. They hit the ring.

The crowd boos them as they get into the ring. Miz/Cena says, “The Champ is here!” Rule #1 of John Cena’s house rules states that no one can chant, “Cena sucks.” The crowd immediately breaks that rule. Miz/Cena talks mechanically about how he didn’t propose at WrestleMania for free publicity. Maryse/Nikki says Hollywood didn’t want them. Miz/Cena says they stink because they are not good actors and robotic. Miz/Cena says they have taken advantage of the Superstar Shake-Up and come to Monday Night RAW.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose makes an appearance. Ambrose says it’s nice to see familiar faces coming over to RAW. Ambrose then gives them a headlock and says he’s so happy they’re engaged. Miz/Cena tries to speak, but Ambrose cuts him off. Ambrose congratulates them on coming back to RAW, becoming engaged, and defeating The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania because they stink. Ambrose congratulates “Cena” on his success in Hollywood. Miz explains to Ambrose that he is not John Cena and Maryse is not Nikki Bella. Ambrose looks floored when they remove their hat and wig. Ambrose says, “Oh… in that case…” Ambrose then kicks The Miz in the gut and gives him Dirty Deeds. Ambrose celebrates with the crowd.

Roman Reigns will be on RAW later tonight. Coming up next, The New Day will take on The Revival. We go to commercial.

Backstage:

WWE RAW General Manager Kurt Angle is on the phone when Sami Zayn walks in. Zayn says he’s probably getting it from every direction, but he has to know what’s going on with his career. Zayn wants to know if he’s moving to Smackdown Live or staying on RAW. People think he should be on Smackdown, but now that Angle is here, everything is different. Angle says there is a lot of interest from Smackdown. Zayn is surprised by that. The Miz and Maryse walk in and demand to know what kind of show Angle is running here. Zayn introduces himself, but Miz says the grown-ups are talking. Zayn challenges him to shut his mouth for him. Angle says he is not here for backstage politics. For now, Zayn is still on RAW. If Miz wants respect, he’ll have to earn it against Zayn. They walk off. Angle is stunned at how much has happened in his short two weeks.

The New Day vs. The Revival

We go to the ring and out comes The New Day as JoJo does the introductions. Kofi Kingston is not here due to the ankle injury that was announced earlier. Big E and Xavier Woods have a blow-up doll dressed as Kofi. They cut promos on The Revival and call the former WWE NXT Tag Team Champions to the ring. The music interrupts and out comes Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder.

Xavier Woods starts against Dash Wilder. Wood immediately gets on the offensive and forearms him in the corner. Big E tags in, and he hits a running shoulder before Woods clotheslines him down. Big E picks up a two count. Woods tags back in, and Big E gives him a wheelbarrow splash onto Wilder for a two count. Woods applies an arm bar, and Scott Dawson gets a distraction. Wilder takes Woods down by the hair. Dawson tags in, and they slam Woods down. Back to commercial.

We are back and Dawson with a waist lock. Woods with an elbow as he gets back to his feet. Woods tries to get to his corner but Dawson with a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall. Wilder tags in and Woods is sent into Dash’s knee. Woods with an elbow and punch. Woods goes for a sunset flip but Dawson is tagged in and Scott prevents Woods from making the tag. Woods lands on his feet and he connects with a forearm and both men are down.

Big E and Wilder tag in and Big E with two overhead belly-to-belly suplexes. Big E avoids a clothesline and hits a belly-to-belly suplex. Big E with a Sexy Party and then he hits a Warrior Splash. Big E sends Dawson to the floor. Dawson drops Big E on the top rope and Wilder with a rollup for a near fall. Dawson tags in and Big E runs through a double clothesline. Woods tags in and Big E with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex into the turnbuckles. Woods with a springboard elbow drop from across the ring for a near fall. Wilder tags in and Woods with a forearm to Wilder. Wilder stops Big E from hitting Midnight Hour and then as Woods comes off the turnbuckles, Dawson and Wilder hit a version of Shatter Machine.

Winners: The Revival

Backstage:

Back from the break and WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville is backstage when Charly Caruso walks up and asks about Austin Aries earning another title shot. Neville says he’s already proved Aries isn’t on the Neville level. He goes on and TJ Perkins walks up, threatening to make Neville eat his words. Neville says Perkins will never get another shot and can’t take his title. Neville tells Perkins to look what he’s become. He was the first Cruiserweight Champion but now he’s a joke. Neville tells Perkins he’s been overlooked since the inception of 205 Live, his opportunities are given to people like Aries. Neville says he’s the only one around here that has respect for Perkins. Aries walks up and says even he with his sunglasses on can see that Neville is lying through his teeth to TJ. Neville ends up leaving and Aries asks TJ if he’s going to buy what Neville was selling. TJ just looks at Aries and walks off. Cole says they will face each other later tonight.

In the Arena:

We go to the ring and Curt Hawkins has a mic. He’s now on the RAW brand. Hawkins tell us to face the facts – he’s back on Monday Night RAW. Hawkins wants to celebrate. He asks where the welcome wagon is. The music hits and out comes Big Show.

Show enters the ring and stares at Hawkins before laying him out with a knockout punch. Show makes his exit and we go to replays with the newest RAW Superstar knocked out.

– Still to come, Cole will talk with Roman Reigns. Back to commercial.

– We are back and Neville is on commentary for the next match.

Austin Aries vs. TJ Perkins

Aries and Perkins circle each other and Perkins with a waist lock. Aries with a standing switch and take down as he floats over on Perkins. Perkins with a hammer lock and a sunset flip but Aries rolls through. Perkins with a head scissors take down. Aries with a wrist lock but Perkins with a reversal. Aries with a reversal into a side head lock. Aries with a cartwheel into a side head lock take down. Perkins with a head scissors and Aries with a headstand into a drop kick and he goes to the turnbuckles to relax.

Perkins gets Aries on his shoulders and he holds on to the ropes when Aries goes for an O’Connor Roll. Aries with an elbow and slingshot senton. Aries with an elbow from the turnbuckles for a near fall. Perkins with a kick and European uppercut. Perkins hangs in the ropes and Aries goes to the floor. Aries avoids the slingshot drop kick and then Aries boxes the ears and then Aries with a neck breaker in the ropes. Aries comes off the turnbuckles with a forearm and then Aries poses on the ringside barrier.

Neville goes to the ring and Aries gets back into the ring despite the distraction from Neville. Perkins with an inside cradle for the three count.

Winner: TJ Perkins

After the match, Perkins attacks Aries and Perkins looks at Neville before hitting the Detonation Kick.

Seth Rollins is in the back wtih Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady. We go to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring.

eth says it feels good to be out here again. He did not know if he would be able to stand in the ring on his own two feet to talk to you again. He did everything to get ready for Wrestlemania and he could not think about ‘after’ Wrestlemania. Seth says he was in more pain after Wrestlemania than any time before. Physically he was messed up, but emotionally and mentally, he was at peace because he left it all in the ring and he did it. Seth says we did it. They slayed the King of Kings. Seth says he wants to take this opportunity to step back.

Seth says thank you for giving hiim a second chance and having his back. He says Wrestlemania was not the finish line. They are just getting started on Raw. He says he has some scores against Samoa Joe. He wants to get his hands on the Universal Title. Based on what happened at Wrestlemania, he might not get those opportunities. We see footage from the end of Seth’s match with Triple H at Wrestlemania when Stephanie interfered in the match and got sent through a table.

The crowd chants ‘Thank You Seth’. Seth says he does not think he will be named Employee of the Month. He says that Stephanie does not handle failure well. She will come back and she will have to see Seth’s face and it will remind her of her failure and her husband’s defeat. If he is not already public enemy number one, he will probably move up the list. Seth says maybe he should go to Smackdown because that is the easy way out. Deal with Shane instead of Stephanie. Seth says he took the easy way out once before and he won’t do it again. If you want to ship him to Tuesday night, you better get an army because he is not leaving without a fight.

Kurt Angle’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Kurt tells Seth he is going to be straight up with him. It’s true, Stephanie made it clear she wants you gone. If they had this discussion two weeks ago before Wrestlemania, you would be gone. At Wrestlemania, he saw something special. Kurt says Seth was the one legged man who won an ass kicking contest. Kurt says he is not here to play politics. His show has Seth Rollins. Kurt says that as long as he is the general manager, Seth has a home on Raw.

They shake hands and Angle leaves as his music plays. Samoa Joe comes from behind and attacks Rollins out of nowhere. Angle is back in the ring. Rollins ends up fighting back and turning it around with a superkick. Joe looks on from outside of the ring. Angle is between Rollins and the ropes. Rollins tells Joe to bring it. Fans boo as Joe backs up the ramp. Rollins’ music hits.

Backstage:

Kevin Owens is in the interview area. He is asked about how the Superstar Shake Up will affect him. Kevin says they can shake things up however they want, but the cream will always rise to the top, like it did at Wrestlemania. He tells her to ask Chris Jericho about the Superstar Shake Up and see if he wants to go to Smackdown to have some success. However, you cannot ask him because Chris is at home recovering from being sent through a table last week. Kevin says he is the Face of America and the Number One Champion on Raw.

Kevin is asked about Dean Ambrose. Kevin says that Dean can run around acting goofy and crazy with the Intercontinental Title as long as Dean remembers that Kevin is the man. He will do to Dean what he did to Chris. Kevin says he is the premier champion because this is the Kevin… Owens… Show.

Charlotte Flair vs. Nia Jax

We go to the ring and out comes Charlotte Flair. We see video of what led to this match on last week’s RAW. Charlotte enters the ring as we go back to commercial.

Charlotte wooos before locking up and Nia wants Charlotte to bring it. They lock up and Nia sends Charlotte face first to the mat. Charlotte with a waist lock but Nia with a hip lock take down. Charlotte with punches and a kick. Charlotte with a knee lift but Nia with a body block. Charlotte with elbows and a neck breaker. Charlotte with a chop but she misses a second one and Nia with a shoulder breaker. Nia with elbow drops to the back. Nia gets a near fall. Nia with a Million Dollar Dream on Charlotte.

Charlotte gets back to her feet momentarily but Nia gets her to the mat again. Charlotte with a jaw breaker but Nia with a hip toss. Nia chokes Charlotte in the ropes. Nia gets Charlotte on her shoulders but Charlotte gets back to her feet and she chops Nia. Charlotte does the Flair flip to the apron and she tries for a rollup but Nia grabs Charlotte by the throat. Charlotte clips Nia and hits Natural Selection for a near fall.

Nia sends Charlotte into the corner but Nia misses a charge into the corner and hits the ring post shoulder first. Nia is sent into the ring post and then Charlotte goes up top and hits a moonsault kick to the head. The referee makes his count as Charlotte returns to the ring but Nia returns to the ring as well. Charlotte wtih a running boot to the head and Charlotte goes for a figure four leg lock but Nia sends Charlotte into the turnbuckles.

Nia with a splash into the corner followed by a Samoan Drop for the three count.

Winner: Nia Jax

– We have a video package for Finn Balor. Back to commercial.

Finn Balor vs. Jinder Mahal

Back from the break and Jinder Mahal waits in the ring for his opponent. The music hits and out comes Finn Balor to a big pop.

They lock up and Mahal pie faces Balor on a break. Balor with punches but Mahal with a knee. Mahal with a sunset flip but Balor rolls through and hits a drop kick. Balor with an arm drag into an arm bar. Mahal kicks Balor in the ropes. Mahal with a series of knee drops and then he chokes Balor. Mahal with a near fall. Mahal with a quarter nelson and chin lock. Mahal has a punch blocked but Mahal with a forearm. Mahal with a chin lock but Balor with a pele kick. Balor kicks Mahal in the corner and hits Slingblade.

Balor with a running drop kick that sends Mahal into the turnbuckles. Balor goes up top and hits Coup de Grace for the three count.

Winner: Finn Balor

After the match, Bray Wyatt appears on the Titantron and he says this is his new home. He says he did not come alone. He brought a gift. He says we will see Bray Wyatt torture Randy Orton in his House of Horrors match. He tells Finn to watch himself because he will be watching him. He tells Raw that he is here. Back to commercial.

– Back from the break and the commentators talk about The Miz and Maryse coming over to RAW along with Dean Ambrose.

– Apollo Crews has come from Smackdown Live to RAW. RAW is also getting Kalisto and the tag team of Heath Slater and Rhyno. No announcements, just graphics.

Miz (with Maryse) vs. Sami Zayn

Zayn with a hammer lock but Miz with an elbow and kick followed by a punch. Zayn leaps over Miz and Zayn with arm drags followed by a satellite arm drag. Zayn clotheslines Miz over the top rope to the floor. Zayn sets for a dive to the floor but Miz pulls Maryse in front of him so Zayn does not do the dive. We go to commercial.

We are back and Miz with a rear chin lock. Zayn and Miz with standing switches until Miz hits the Reality Check for a near fall. Miz puts Zayn on the turnbuckles and mocks the Zayn chant. Miz goes for a superplex but Zayn blocks it. Zayn with forearms to knock Miz to the mat. Zayn leaps over Miz and Miz with a kick to the knee and a DDT for a near fall. Miz continues to mock Daniel Bryan and he kicks Zayn in the chest.

Zayn avoids a round kick and Zayn hits a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Miz is pulled out of the ring as Zayn goes for a Helluva Kick. Maryse grabs Zayn’s leg as he comes back into the ring. Miz goes for the Skull Crasahing Finale bu Zayn reverses with a victory roll for the three count.

Winner: Sami Zayn

After the match, Miz isn’t happy as we go to replays. Miz rants about it being a 2 count while Sami celebrates on the ramp.

– Still to come, Cole will sit down with Roman Reigns. Back to commercial.

– We are back and they announce Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose in a champion vs. champion match for later tonight.

Interview with Roman Reigns:

Michael asks if Roman feels any responsibility or remorse that Wrestlemania might have been Undertaker’s last match. Roman says this was the biggest win of his career. It was also the most bittersweet. He says that he respects the Undertaker. He got a lot of advice from mentors. How do you prepare to retire a legend. He says it has been a crazy situation. He says he did what he said he would do. Roman says he is the big dog and this is his yard. We hear fans in the arena chanting “Roman sucks” and booing Reigns. Reigns suddenly jumps up as Braun Strowman enters and attacks him. Braun destroys Reigns and threatens referees when they approach. We hear fans chanting “thank you Strowman” now. Braun continues beating Reigns around the backstage area.

Braun scoops Reigns and slams him on top of a production case. Braun gets behind another case on wheels and runs it into Reigns up against the wall. Referees and security call for help as Braun walks off. A stretcher is wheeled over by paramedics as we get a replay of what just happened. Reigns is loaded on the stretcher as a “you deserve it” chant starts up. We get another replay and come back to Reigns being strapped down on the stretcher.

Braun runs up and pushes the stretcher off the loading dock. Braun walks through the backstage area and tips over another case before he walks off. The camera goes back to the stretcher tipped over, still with Reigns strapped into it. A referee calls for more help as they wonder where the paramedics went. They come back over and tend to Reigns as we go to a third replay. We see Reigns being loaded into an ambulance now. Braun runs over and says he’s not finished with Reigns as fans in the arena pop. Braun beats on Reigns in the back of the ambulance. Braun goes outside of the ambulance and actually tips it over onto its side with his bare hands! WOW! We go to commercial.

– Back from the break and we see what just happened to Reigns. We go backstage again as paramedics are loading Reigns into another ambulance. The sirens go off as the ambulance rides away with Reigns in the back. We go back to the announcers and hear fans singing “Goodbye” to reigns. Cole says a WWE reporter is headed to the hospital to provide an update.

Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Primo and Epico vs. Cesaro, Sheamus, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy

We go to the ring and Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are wrapping up their entrance. The Shining Stars are already out. #1 contenders Cesaro and Sheamus are out first for their team. Cesaro is also wearing a kilt tonight. We hear some “delete!” chants start as the music hits and out come RAW Tag Team Champions The Hardys to a pop.

Matt and Primo start things off and Matt with a hip toss. Jeff tags in and he hits a double sledge off the turnbuckles. Jeff with a snap mare and drop kick. Ceasro tags in and Anderson tags in as well. Sheamus with a Finlay Slam and Cesaro with a double stomp for a near fall. Sheamus with a knee drop and European uppercut. Cesaro tags in and Cesaro with a European uppercut followed by a shoulder from Sheamus. Cesaro with a cross body for a near fall. Gallows pulls Anderson to the floor to stop a Giant Swing attempt. We go to commercial.

We are back and Gallows with a head lock on Cesaro. Gallows with knees but Cesaro lands on his feet. Cesaro with an elbow and punches to Gallows. Anderson tags in and they hit a belly-to-back suplex and neck breaker combination for a near fall. Primo hits a lungblower on Sheamus. Epico tags in and Matt with a punch from the apron. Cesaro with a back body drop and Matt tags in. Matt with forearms and he sends Epico into the turnbuckles many times. Matt with a running clothesline followed by a bulldog. Matt with a Side Effect to Primo. Matt goes for a Twist of Fate on Primo but Gallows with a boot. Jeff with a Twist of Fate to Gallows. Anderson is clotheslined over the top rope to the floor.

Jeff with Poetry in Motion onto Gallows, Anderson, Epico, and Primo. Matt blocks a lungblower and then he hits a Twist of Fate and Jeff is tagged in and he hits a Swanton for the three count.

Winners: Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Sheamus, and Cesaro

Backstage:

Dana Brooke is in the back and she is reading a book until Emma enters. Emma tells Dana ‘let’s go’ and Dana wants to know what Emma means by that. Emma reminds Dana that she was her protege before Charlotte. Emma says she is here to pick up the pieces.

Dana tells Emma that was last year. While you were having your identity crisis, the entire women’s division has gotten better, including her. She might not be the best, but she is making strides and learning to stand on her own two feet. She is not going with Emma or anyone else any more.

Bayley walks in the back as we go to commercial.

In the Arena:

Back from the break and out comes Sasha Banks. Cole says we were expecting RAW Women’s Champion Bayley but got The Boss instead. Sasha takes the mic and says she has some unfinished business but first she wants the fans to help her introduce your girl and her best friend, Bayley. The music hits and out comes the RAW Women’s Champion.

Bayley thanks Sasha for the introduction. She then thanks the fans for always being there. She says the 12 year old her would not have had her WrestleMania moment if it weren’t for the fans. There appears to be a mixed reaction. She thanks fans for believing in her. Sasha says WrestleMania didn’t go as she planned but she wanted to come out and congratulate Bayley on the biggest moment of her career. But that moment is over. Sasha is out here to ask for the WWE… the music interrupts and out comes Alexa Bliss. She is now on RAW.

Bliss gets a pop as she marches to the ring. She knocks Sasha and Bayley for their nauseating exchange. Bliss says she’s the only one here that deserves recognition for putting an end to the sideshow between Sasha and Bayley. Bliss reminds us she’s a two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion and announces that she’s come to RAW. She’s excited to put the SmackDown drama behind her and do what she does best – win and dominate. The music interrupts Bliss as Mickie James makes her way out. She is also joining the red brand. Mickie announces she’s back and cuts a promo on everyone in the ring. She makes it to ringside but Nia Jax comes from behind and floors her. Nia enters the ring. Bliss pushes Sasha into Nia. Sasha gets dumped to the floor. Bayley ends up taking a Samoan Drop from Nia. Bliss retreats. Nia stands over Bayley with the title and says this is hers. Nia drops the title over Bayley and leaves as her music hits. We see Mickie and Sasha laid out at ringside. Nia stops at Bliss on the ramp and stares her down before marching to the back. Bliss laughs at Bayley in the ring.

– We see Ambrose and Owens backstage warming up for our champion vs. champion main event. Back to commercial.

– Back from the break and we get another replay of what Strowman did to Reigns earlier. Cole says the preliminary report from the hospital says Reigns has cracked ribs, internal injuries and possible separated shoulder.

WWE US Champion vs. WWE Intercontinental Champion
Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose

The bell rings, and Owens quickly punches and kicks him down before talking some trash. Ambrose turns him around in the corner and kicks away at him. Ambrose slingshots over him and goes for Dirty Deeds, but Owens gets out of the ring. Ambrose follows him out. Owens clubs the back before having a whip reversed into the barricade. Ambrose punches him before putting him back into the ring, but Owens quickly rolls back out. Ambrose then takes him down with a plancha.

We are back and Owens punches Ambrose. Owens with another punch. Ambrose with a flying clothesline and punches. Ambrose with a running forearm and he tries for the bulldog but Owens pushes him away. Owens moves and Ambrose goes into the ring post shoulder first. Owens with a running knee to the head against the ring post and Owens gets a near fall. Owens with a rear chin lock on Ambrose.

Ambrose with elbows followed by a head butt. Owens sends Ambrose over the top rope to the floor. Owens goes to the floor and he gets Ambrose on his shoudlers and he tosses Ambrose ribs first into the ring post. Owens gets a near fall. Owens with a back senton but Ambrose gets his knees up. Owens goes to the floor and Ambrose with a suicide dive.

Ambrose with running forearms followed by a swinging neck breaker. Ambrose with a running forearm and he goes for the bulldog but Ambrose is sent into the corner. Ambrose blocks a cannonball attempt and he puts Owens on the top rope and hits a springboard clothesline for a near fall.

Ambrose goes up top and Owens goes to the floor. Ambrose stays on the turnbuckles and he hits the elbow drop to the chest. Ambrose comes off the ropes but Owens with a boot to Ambrose followed by a package side slam. Ambrose with a rana to counter the pop up power bomb. Ambrose tries to bounce off the ropes but Owens with a super kick. Ambrose with a double underhook DDT for the three count.

Winner: Dean Ambrose

After the match, Ambrose celebrates as Owens recovers. The music hits and out comes Chris Jericho. Ambrose leaves the ring. Owens isn’t happy as he pulls himself up. Jericho hits the ring and meets Owens with a Codebreaker. Fans chant for Jericho as he stands over Owens and his music plays. RAW goes off the air with Jericho standing tall.
