– Historically, WWE likes to bring in a couple of surprise names for the huge event, however one name that most-likely will not be at the event is “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
Dave Meltzer talked about Steve Austin’s status on the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio and claimed that the WWE Hall of Famer wouldn’t be in town for any appearances. Meltzer also said that people who know Austin personality haven’t told him that he’s going to be there.
This isn’t anything out of the ordinary as it seems Austin has been distancing himself from the company for awhile now. If they do decide to bring him in, it would be a last minute call which is very unlikely at this point because they have already did the timing for the event.
– Speaking of The Rock, he is in Orlando and will be in town until at least Tuesday or Wednesday because he has a talk show appearance to promote the Fast and Furious movie. Meltzer mentioned that he’s not taping the upcoming season of “Ballers” this Sunday either, so an appearance at the biggest wrestling show of the year is up to WWE and The Rock.
