As previously reported, Brock Lesnar is not scheduled to defend his Title at the upcoming WWE Payback event later this month.
It’s being said that his first title defense will be against Braun Strowman and that match will either take place at Extreme Rules or Bad Blood.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns may square off at Payback in a #1 contenders match for the WWE Universal Championship. It’s very possible that Strowman could go over in that match.
It will be interesting to see how things play out in the Universal Title picture as Finn Balor and Kevin Owens are both owed rematches. WWE could possibly do a fatal four-way match so Reigns doesn’t have to take the fall and he stays protected.
