– Mauro Ranallo returned to commentating this past weekend, as he called the Rizin FF 5: Sakura MMA event in Yokohama, Japan. As seen in the video below, Mauro took a veiled shot at WWE during the event as Jazzy Gabert made her way to the cage.
“Professional wrestler – and boy does it feel good to be able to use that term again – turned mixed martial artist, the Alpha Female Jazzy Gabert!” Mauro said as Gabert approached the cage.
“Professional wrestler” is one of many banned terms that aren’t allowed to be said on WWE television.
As noted, Mauro isn’t expected to return to WWE after last appearing on WWE television in mid-March. Dave Meltzer recently reported that WWE has initiated settlement talks with Mauro’s representatives. Mauro’s WWE contract expires on August 12th.
– Jeff Hardy had a little slip at last night’s WWE live event in Cincinnati, as seen in the video below. While the Hardys were celebrating after their match, Hardy slipped and landed on his face:

– The Irish Mirror has a short interview here with Kenny Omega, who was in action at Over The Top Wrestling’s Scrappermania event in Dublin, Ireland this past weekend.
“I am a Bullet Club member, and a fellow Bullet Club member from back in the day; Prince Devitt [Finn Balor], is of course very familiar with [the people of] Dublin, Ireland,” Omega said. “I am very excited to take part in the history of Bullet Club, [in the hometown of] the original leader Prince Devitt. [I want to] see what this [OTT] is all about, what the fans are all about and get a taste of this rich wrestling history.”
