ROH Not Happy About Nigel McGuinness In WWE, TJ Perkins Talks Cruiserweights, Xavier Woods Shops

– WWE posted this video of TJ Perkins talking about why he should be at the pinnacle of the cruiserweight division and WWE 205 Live.

– As noted, WWE has hired former ROH Champion Nigel McGuinness to be the co-host of the new WWE United Kingdom Title tournament on the WWE Network. He will be calling the matches with Michael Cole. We have full details on the two-night tournament at this link and this link. Regarding Nigel recently finishing up with Ring of Honor and joining WWE, there have been rumors that he was going to work a 30-day tryout as a guest coach at the WWE Performance Center but it appears WWE had another role in mind, at least for now.

PWInsider notes that ROH officials recently tried to describe his exit as Matchmaker as a potential move back to commentary on ROH TV. ROH officials were not aware of McGuinness leaving the company until the past weekend and they aren’t happy about him signing with WWE. The former Desmond Wolfe was not under contract to ROH.

– As noted earlier, RAW Tag Team Champion Xavier Woods and Chris Denker hosted a live Twitch gaming stream yesterday to benefit an annual Christmas toy drive for kids in shelters and orphanages. The stream raised over $12,000 for toys and as seen in this photo, Woods and friends went out last night to shop for the kids:
