WWE SURVIVOR SERIES RESULTS – NOV. 20, 2016

Survivor Series Pre-Show:

The WWE Survivor Series Kickoff pre-show opens with Renee Young, Booker T, Lita and Jerry Lawler inside an empty Air Canada Centre in Toronto. Fans have not started filing in yet. The panel hypes tonight’s show. Renee sends us backstage to Tom Phillips in the Social Media Lounge. He will be joined by WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens later tonight. Fans can submit their questions with the #AskOwens hashtag.

– We go back to the panel for more discussion on tonight’s show. They announce Kane vs. Luke Harper and for tonight’s pre-show, as well as a six-man cruiserweight match. We go to a video for Team RAW vs. Team SmackDown. More discussion for tonight’s matches. Lawler predicts Team RAW will win because of James Ellsworth. Booker and Lita go with Team SmackDown. We take another break and come back to more RAW vs. SmackDown discussion. They talk about the women’s Traditional Elimination match next. Lita goes with Team SmackDown, Booker predicts Team RAW will win and Lawler agrees with Lita. We get discussion on tonight’s WWE Intercontinental Title match next.

– Fans are starting to fill up the arena as we come back to the panel. We go backstage to Sami Zayn and RAW General Manager Mick Foley. Sami thanks him for the opportunity. Foley says Sami earned it, he didn’t give Sami anything. Foley talks about how he heard about Sami from his son, who is a Sami superfan. Sami says Foley is the reason he became a professional wrestler. Sami goes on and says he will become the Intercontinental Champion before storming off. Foley says Sami didn’t need his motivation. We go back to the panel. Booker believes Sami can take the gold tonight. Lawler wonders why Daniel Bryan isn’t motivating The Miz like Foley did with Sami. Miz comes out to the panel with Maryse now. Miz knocks Bryan and agrees with Lawler. Miz accuses Bryan of rooting for Sami tonight. Miz goes on about how he’s made his title the most prestigious in WWE. Miz says he and his wife will be victorious tonight, then will see if Bryan is still interested in trading him. Miz leaves the panel and we hear fans booing him.

– Renee leads us to a preview for Disney’s “Moana” with The Rock. We get discussion on tonight’s match with tag teams. Booker and Lawler predict Team SmackDown will win while Lita goes with Team RAW. We get a vignette on Brian Kendrick next. The panel discusses tonight’s Cruiserweight Title match. Lawler goes with Kalisto while Booker and Lita predict Kendrick will retain. We go backstage to Nikki Bella and SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch backstage talking about Team RAW. Dana Brooke walks up with RAW Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. Charlotte taunts them both. Nikki says SmackDown will prove why they’re the better women’s division tonight and will burn Team RAW to the ground. Charlotte says she has no problem putting Nikki in a neck brace again. We go back to the panel for hype on tonight’s pre-show matches. We also see Tom and Kevin in the Social Media Lounge before taking another break.

– We come back to Tom Phillips and WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens in the Social Media Lounge. Owens is wearing his new Blue Jays-inspired t-shirt. Owens notices Tom didn’t invite his best friend, so he invites him. Owens yells for Chris Jericho and here he comes. They spend most of the session messing with Tom. It ends with Tom being added to The List.

Tony Nese, Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari vs. Noam Dar, TJ Perkins and Rich Swann

We go to the ring and Mauro Ranallo is on commentary with Corey Graves. Tony Nese, Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari are out first as Greg Hamilton does the introduction. Noam Dar is out first for his team. Rich Swann and TJ Perkins are out next. Swann starts off with Nese. Perkins comes in and keeps up the attack on Nese. We hear Charly Caruso talking to the production truck out of nowhere. Gulak and Swann go at it now. Dar comes in to take control of Gulak. Another tag to Perkins.

Gulak takes control as fans chant for Perkins. Perkins catches him in the knee bar. Both teams come in and argue as we go to a break.

Back from the break and the babyfaces are in control. Daivari takes control of Dar after a distraction from Nese. Gulak is in with more offense on Dar as they keep him in their corner. Gulak works on Dar’s knee now. Daivari comes in and goes at it with Dar. Dar has to knock Gulak off the apron but he goes back down. Fans rally as Dar makes a tag to Swann. Swann runs wild and hits a Frankensteiner on Daivari for a 2 count. Gulak gets a cheap shot in on Swann while Nese distracts the referee. Daivari with a close 2 count as Dar and Perkins break the pin up. Gulak ends up on the floor. Dar leaps out onto him. Nese flies out next. Perkins runs the ropes but the referee stops him from diving. Fans boo. Perkins jumps out anyway, using the referee’s back, and takes out the others.

Swann drops Daivari with a big kick in the ring. Swann nails a standing 450 for the win.

Winners: Rich Swann, TJ Perkins and Noam Dar

After the match, the winners stand tall as fans continue filling the arena. We go to replays and come back to Swann, Dar and TJP celebrating while Graves and Ranallo hype 205 Live.

– We get more discussion from the panel and a backstage segment with Brian Kendrick talking down to Kalisto.

Luke Harper vs. Kane

Back to the ring and Mauro Ranallo is with JBL and David Otunga. The pyro hits as Kane makes his way out. Luke Harper is out next by himself.

Back and forth to start. Kane takes control until Harper dumps him through the ropes. Harper runs and nails a dive, sending Kane into the barrier. Harper brings it back in the ring and hits a senton from the apron for a 2 count. Harper with a running big boot for another 2 count. We go to a break.

Back from the break and Harper keeps Kane down. Harper drops a bunch of knees and stands tall as some fans boo. Harper goes to the top but Kane cuts him off with an uppercut. Kane with another right hand. Kane climbs up for a superplex and nails it. Harper avoids a chokeslam but Kane unloads on him. Kane with splashes in the corner and a sidewalk slam for a 2 count.

Harper drops Kane with a back kick for a 2 count. Harper runs into a big boot. Harper nails a dropkick for a 2 count. More back and forth. Kane with a DDT for a close 2 count. Harper with more kicks. Harper catches Kane in a sidewalk slam for another pin attempt. Kane ends up getting the win with a chokeslam.

Winner: Kane

After the match, Kane stands tall and makes the ring explode as we go to replays.

– We go back to the panel for more discussion on tonight’s show and the main event. Lawler goes with Brock Lesnar while Lita predicts Goldberg will win. Booker just predicts there will be pain. We get a video for Lesnar vs. Goldberg.

WWE Survivor Series Opener:

The show opens with a video package highlighting the main feuds heading into tonight heavily utilizing footage from WWE 2K17. A lot of time is spent on the Raw vs. Smackdown theme of the night, and of course a good bit of time is devoted to the Mega Match of Brock Lesnar vs. Bill Goldberg.

The pyro hits and Mauro Ranallo welcomes us to the show. We don’t waste any time as Bayley’s music hits, and the women will be kicking things off tonight.

5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Match
Team Raw (Bayley, Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Alicia Fox and Nia Jax) vs. Team Smackdown (Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella, Carmella, Alexa Bliss and Naomi)

Bayley gets a great reaction, but Alicia Fox and Nia Jax out next don’t get the same warm welcome.

Sasha Banks is out next to a nice pop, actually getting a bit of time for her entrance. Charlotte is last out for her team, of course accompanied by Dana Brooke.

Becky Lynch is the first woman out for Team Smackdown, and the Smackdown Women’s Champion gets a warm welcome with lots of the fans singing along to her theme on her way down the ramp.

Naomi follows shortly after, getting a shortened version of her dancing entrance, it’s still as impressive as ever.

Alexa Bliss is out third, followed immediately by Carmella who gets a bit of heat from the crowd. Nikki Bella’s music hits, but Team Smackdown’s captain is nowhere to be found and her teammates look confused.

Cameras are shown rushing backstage to show Nikki Bella grabbing the back of her head and saying she doesn’t know what happened. Natalya asks if she can still compete, but the doctor says absolutely not, since he doesn’t know what happened. Natalya asks Daniel Bryan if she can take Nikki’s place, and Bryan approves it, sending Natalya running toward the ring. Her music hits in the arena, and she makes her way out from the back, changing over from coach to competitor.

It looks like Carmella and Alicia will kick things off for their teams. We get a lockup and Carmella backs Fox into the ropes then breaks clean. Carmella shoves Fox, so Fox shoves her back, sending Carmella to her butt. Alicia follows with a single leg dropkick and a Northern lights suplex for two. Alicia and Carmella trade forearms, and Carmella comes up with a flying headscissors to take over Fox. Carmella hits a bronco buster in the corner and pins Alicia for two.

Carmella sends Fox into the ropes and eats a kick to the chest, then immediately tags Becky. Fox tags Bayley, and Charlotte stops that, tagging herself in. Sasha gets in on the action, tagging herself in, and Charlotte and Sasha get into a shoving match with Bayley trying to break things up. Becky hits Charlotte with a European uppercut, and things break down with everyone getting involved. Nia shoves away all over Team Smackdown into their own corner, drawing a line across the middle of the ring. Sasha and Becky comes back in the middle and Becky rolls up Sasha for two. Sasha gets Becky into a backslide for two. Becky sends Sasha into the ropes and Charlotte tags herself in to eat a couple of arm drags from Becky. Becky ducks a clothesline and rolls up Charlotte, but stands into a knee to the stomach from Charlotte. Becky ducks a chop and hits a back kick to the knee before trying to work into the Disarmer. Charlotte makes it into the ropes to force a break, then she tags in Nia.

Nia smashes Becky into the corner and continues the assault, allowing Becky to make the tag. Carmella comes in and is wiped out, as is Alexa. Naomi tags in and leaps from the middle rope, but she’s caught. She fights out, but when she hits the ropes, she runs straight into Nia and bounces off. Natalya tags in and Nia sends her off the ropes. Carmella makes the blind tag and her and Natalya hit a double shoulderblock, but Nia immediately responds with a double clothesline to wipe out both women. Alicia tags in and Carmella scraps right away, sending hey flying across the ring by her hair. Carmella goes for another bronco buster, but Fox moves and slams Carmella’s head repeatedly into the middle turnbuckle while she’s hung up. Fox slams Carmella’s head into the mat and pins her for the three count.

Carmella has been eliminated

Bliss tags in and goes to the top hitting a twisting body press and pinning Fox for three.

Alicia Fox has been eliminated

Charlotte tags in and eats a jawbreaker from Naomi. Naomi sends all of her opponents off of the corner and then heads to the top rope. Naomi leaps from the top and to the outside, wiping out Nia on the floor. Naomi heads to the apron and kicks Nia in the side of the head, but Nia slams Naomi into the ring post before ripping her off the apron and to the floor. The ref has been counting the whole time and Nia steps back into the ring while Naomi is counted out.

Naomi has been eliminated

Sasha tags in and Alexa Bliss makes her way in as well, taking Banks down to the mat in her own corner. Bliss stands on Banks’ back while making the tag to Natalya. Natalya works over Sasha for a bit before Sasha comes back against both Natalya and Bliss, taking out both men. Sasha hangs up Bliss across the middle rope in the corner and puts Natalya across the bottom. Natalya escapes, but Bliss eats double knees from Sasha in the corner. Sasha heads to the apron and wipes out Natalya on the floor, taking her back into the ring for an attempted pin. Natalya fights out and tries for a delayed suplex, but Sasha fights out of it. Bliss distracts Sasha and allows Natalya to roll her up for the three count.

Sasha Banks has been eliminated

Charlotte tags in and she and Natalya trade chops. Natalya scores with a nice release German suplex to send Charlotte flying. Charlotte comes right back kicking Natalya in the stomach. Charlotte tries for the moonsault, but Natalya counters, pulling Charlotte down into a sit-out powerbomb, but the pin is broken up by Nia. Natalya locks on the Sharpshooter and the crowd goes nuts. Dana helps Charlotte get to the ropes, and Charlotte stands, hitting a nasty big boot to put Natalya down for three.

Natalya has been eliminated

Becky tags in and slams Charlotte down to the mat. Bliss and Becky show signs of disagreement, shoving each other, but they duck a clothesline from Nia and attempt a double suplex. Nia is able to block and turn things around, suplexing both Bliss and Lynch. Nia goes to slam Bliss, but Becky hits a dropkick to Alexa that sends Nia on her back. Becky and Alexa score with a double DDT and Becky locks in the Disarmer, forcing Nia to tap out.

Nia Jax has been eliminated

Nia pulls Becky out of the ring and slams her into the barricade while back in the ring Charlotte scores with a kick to put away Bliss with another three count.

Alexa Bliss has been eliminated

Becky comes back into the ring and Charlotte methodically takes her apart. Becky fights back with a clothesline and a straight kick. Charlotte pulls herself up in the corner, only to eat a running forearm followed by the Bex-plex. Becky heads to the top rope and leaps off with a huge leg drop. Becky pins Charlotte, but it’s broken up by Bayley.

Bayley tags in and squares off with Becky, trying to pin her right away. Becky and Bayley trade forearms with Bayley backing Becky up. Becky launches Bayley with a pump-handle suplex. Becky kicks Bayley in the face, but Bayley avoids a leg drop, following with a low running dropkick and an elbow drop for two. Becky tries for the Disarmer, but Bayley continues to fight it off. Bayley gets into the ropes and holds on for dear life, but when she comes off she immediately hits the Bayley to belly and picks up the win for her team.

Becky Lynch has been eliminated

Winners: Team Raw (Bayley and Charlotte)

After the match Charlotte attacks a celebrating Bayley as soon as her music hits, sending her from the ring in disdain. Charlotte follows to the outside and launches Bayley into the barricade, picking her up and throwing her into the barricade once more. Charlotte waits for Bayley to stand and wipes her out with a big boot, standing over her and yelling that she wants her title. Charlotte walks away with Dana Brooke by her side while Bayley recovers on the floor.

Backstage:

After a couple of commercials, James Ellsworth is shown walking backstage. He runs into Gallows and Anderson. Anderson calls Ellsworth little Jimmy No Chin. He says he’s living a fairy tale, a real life Chinderella. Gallows says he’s in it to win it, he even chinned, he means pinned, their friend AJ Styles. Mick Foley comes in and tells them to knock it off, stop picking on the little guy. Foley asks what they’d do if he made fun of them for being bald. Gallows says they shave their heads, then they walk off. Ellsworth and Foley talk back and forth for a bit with Ellsworth talking about some of Mick’s career highlights. Foley talks about being impressed with Ellsworth, and asks if he’d be interested in coming to Raw. Ellsworth says that Smackdown’s his home, and he’s Team Blue all the way. Foley says he may change his mind when Raw wins tonight, and then walks off. Ellsworth turns around into the chest of Braun Strowman, who asks doesn’t he know him? Ellsworth, rather than answering, turns tail and runs off.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
The Miz vs. Sami Zayn

Back in the arena, The Miz makes his way out with his wife by his side, out to defend his Intercontinental Championship and keep the belt on Smackdown.

Sami Zayn is out next, and the challenger gets a great reaction, with his theme echoing loudly through the arena.

There’s a nice touch as we get formal ring introductions for the match, which helps make this one feel a little bit more special.

The bell rings and both men go right at it, trying to gain the advantage. Miz is able to trap Sami in a wrist lock, but Sami flips out of it and takes Miz over for a quick one count. Another lockup and Miz takes Sami to the mat. Sami kicks Miz away and takes him over with an arm drag into an arm bar. Sami continues to work the arm, but Miz pushes him off. Sami leaps over Miz and catches him with a single leg dropkick that sends Miz to the outside to catch his breath. Sami shows off by doing a backflip off the top rope and landing on his feet. Miz grabs Sami’s foot and pulls him out of the ring, slamming his head on the mat. Miz whips Sami into the barricade but Sami leaps up, and does a moonsault off the barricade to take out Miz. Sami taunts Maryse, and he’s attacked at the ankle from behind by the Miz. Miz brings things back into the ring and hits Sami with an axe handle smash from the top rope. Miz works over Sami’s leg, wrapping it around the middle rope and wrenching away.

Sami is able to turn things around with some nasty chops in the corner before he mounts Miz in the corner for a series of punches. Miz ducks through Sami’s leg and kicks the back of his ankle, causing Sami to crash down to the mat in pain, grabbing at his ankle. Miz traps Sami’s legs, standing on the backs of his knees. Miz stomps down on Sami’s knee, sending him crawling away. Sami pulls himself up on the ropes and catches Miz with a kick to the face before low-bridging Miz and sending him crashing to the outside. Miz grabs Sami by the leg and slams it against the ring post a couple of times, sending Sami crashing out to the floor.

Miz brings things back into the ring and hits Sami with a running kick to the back of the head that’s good for a two count. Miz goes for the figure four, but Sami is able to kick him away and avoid the hold. Sami stand and eats a couple of right hands from the Miz. Sami responds with a couple of rights of his own before stopping Miz cold with a vicious clothesline.

Sami clotheslines Miz over the top rope, sending him crashing out to the floor. Sami hits the ropes and hits a tope con hilo, crashing straight into Miz. Sami brings things back into the ring and Miz goes for the figure four again. Sami kicks Miz away and stands up for a Michinoku driver, but Miz will not stay down for the three count. Sami pulls Miz up and tries for the Blue Thunder Bomb, but Miz counters it. Miz tries for the figure four, but Sami rolls him up for two instead. Miz connects with a DDT for two.

Miz hits a running dropkick in the corner on Sami, following up with a second and third to mock Daniel Bryan. Miz hits his corner running clothesline, sending Sami falling to the mat. Miz heads to the top rope and waits for Sami to stand. Miz leaps off the top and Sami catches him with the Blue Thunder Bomb for a two count.

Sami waits for Miz to stand in the corner, but Miz rolls out of the ring. Miz hangs up Sami on the top rope and he heads back into the ring. Sami counters the SCF with a roll up for two. Sami connects with the exploder suplex into the corner. Sami waits for Miz to stand and he tries for the helluva kick, but Miz avoids it and takes Sami into the middle of the ring to lock in the figure four. Sami screams in pain as he reaches for the ropes. Miz works to pull Sami back toward the center of the ring. Miz props himself up on his arms to give himself leverage in the hold. Sami works to turn the hold over instead, turning it and causing Miz to scream in pain. Miz rolls over and Zayn grabs the ropes to break the hold.

Both men are slow to get to their feet. Miz stands first, turning around and looking down at Sami. Miz kicks Sami across the chest, continuing to mock Daniel Bryan by stealing his moves. Miz kicks Sami repeatedly, but when he goes for the last, Zayn ducks the kick and locks Miz into the figure four in the middle of the ring.

Miz drags himself toward the ropes but Sami drags him back toward the middle. The bell rings out of nowhere and Sami thinks he’s won. Maryse is shown over by the bell. Miz rolls up Sami and gets a three count.

Winner and STILL WWE Intercontinental Champion: The Miz

Miz rolls to the floor and grabs his title as Maryse brings it over. Sami can’t believe what happened. We get a replay of the finish and come back to The Miz and Maryse celebrating while Sami argues with the referee.

Backstage:

Dean Ambrose is shown watching backstage and AJ Styles comes in, telling Dean that if they listen to him tonight, Team Blue will pick up another win. They talk a bit about their upcoming match for the WWE Championship at TLC. Dean says in 2 weeks, his fantasies become AJ’s nightmare. Shane comes in and asks if they’re serious. They can do this in two week’s time. Smackdown has lost one, they can’t lost another, and they need to get on the same page. Shane asks them to please focus. Dean gives AJ a playful nudge and walks off, causing AJ to tattle to Shane, asking if he just saw that.

5-on-5 Traditional Elimination Tag Team Match
Team RAW (RAW Tag Team Champions The New Day, Sheamus & Cesaro, Enzo Amore & Big Cass, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, Primo & Epico) vs. Team SmackDown (SmackDown Tag Team Champions Heath Slater & Rhyno, Zack Ryder & Mojo Rawley, Chad Gable & Jason Jordan, Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso, Tyler Breeze & Fandango)

Enzo and Cass make their way out to a big pop from the fans in attendance. Enzo introduces himself and Cass, tells the crowd a bit about themselves, then tells the crowd that they’re a couple of star boys, they’ve got enemies, a lot of enemies. They’ve got a cuppa haters from Smackdown trying to drain them of their energy. Cass says no one will do that because they’re in Toronto and have been sippin’ on Timmy Horton’s all day long. And Smackdown has been sippin’ on their cup of average Joe. Enzo says Team Raw is on their one’s and two’s so Smackdown better be on their Torontoe’s. Enzo pulls down his overalls to reveal where it’s written ‘if you’re reading this it’s too late’. Cass spells out S-A-W-F-T for the crowd, and it’s time for everyone else to come out as the Shining Stars immediately follow.

Gallows and Anderson are out next, immediately followed by Sheamus and Cesaro.

New Day are out next, and Toronto says every word of their introduction along with Big E. New Day all have mics in hand as they make their way out to the top of the ramp to join their team. Woods says that tonight we are much more than your WWE World Tag Team Champions. Kofi says they’re also the Raw tag team captains. Tonight is not about ‘us’, tonight is about ‘US’, all of us, as we stand together, united, with one goal in mind. And that goal is to put a whoopin’ on Team Smackdown. Big E asks ‘but why?, and lets us know it’s because Team Raw Rocks!

Heath Slater and Rhyno are the first team to make their way out to the arena for Team Smackdown, followed quickly by Tyler Breeze and Fandango, fully ready to do business tonight as the fashion police. Team Smackdown getting much less entrance time as The Uso’s make their way out next, followed by the Hype Bros. American Alpha is the last of the tag teams to make their way out, and Jordan and Gable get a huge pop when their music hits.

All 20 men stand in the ring for a staredown before the match begins. There’s not a lot of empty space on the apron as Fandango and Big E kick things off for their respective teams. Fandango gives tickets to just about everyone in the match, with extras being given to Woods. Fandango turns around into the midnight hour from Kofi and Big E and he’s pinned for three.

Breezango has been eliminated

Uso comes in and takes out Kofi with a big superkick. He covers for the surprising pin.

The New Day is eliminated.

Jimmy (?) Uso squares off with Gallows, getting dropped by a straight rights. Big Cass tags in and takes Jimmy down with a knee to the gut. Epico tags in but he gets taken out by a nasty forearm. Ryder tags in and is taken into the corner by Epico. Ryder avoids Epico in the corner and hits a flapjack. Mojo tags in and hits Epico with a giant clap in the corner after telling all of his teammates to duck. Mojo keeps Epico from making the tag, taking him out with a big chop block. Epico comes back eith a low dropkick to the knee. Primo tags in and gets a little double teaming in. Mojo is taken into the enemy corner and everyone proceeds to gang up on Mojo. Gallows hits a big running splash in the corner. Mojo ducks a clothesline from Anderson and comes back with a cross body. Ryder tags in and hits Anderson with double knees in the corner and a missile dropkick from the middle rope. Ryder beats on Anderson in the corner and tries for the Bro kick, but Gallows pulls Anderson out of the ring. A running baseball slide through the ropes takes out Gallows and Anderson, but Anderson catches Ryder with a knee to the side of the head, and they hit the Magic Killer in the ring as Gallows pins Ryder for three.

The Hype Bros have been eliminated

Gable is in and he takes it to Gallows with a couple of quick strikes, but he’s stopped cold and taken into the Raw corner. Sheamus tags in and stomps on Gable in the corner. Epico tags in and takes Gable into the ropes, tagging out to Primo who leaps on top of Gable’s back and sets him up for a slingshot leg drop and near fall. Epico clamps on a rear chin lock and Gable struggles to make his way out of the hold. Gable fights up to his feet and out of the hold, but he’s driven to the mat with a belly to back suplex, German suplex, and a delayed vertical suplex that’s good for another two count. Primo tags in with a springboard double axe handle. The Shining Stars whip Gable across the ring. Gable fights both off and tags in Jordan. American Alpha hit the avalanche bulldog and Jordan goes for the cover, getting three.

The Shining Stars have been eliminated

Things break down as the six remaining teams square off. In the ring, things work down to Rhyno and Slater, and Enzo and Cass. Enzo and Cass are able to fight off the tag champs, and Cass sends Enzo flying over the top on top of all of his opponents. Cass sends Rhyno to the apron and wipes him out with a big boot. Slater heads to the top and stage dives out on everyone. Back in the ring Jordan suplexes Sheamus. Cesaro tries for the big swing on Jordan, but Gable comes in and hits the chaos theory on Cesaro in an amazing display of power before Jordan suplexes Gable over the top on top of the crowd of opponents. Gallows and Anderson are in and hit the Magic Killer on Jordan, and Anderson gets the three count.

American Alpha have been eliminated

Heath Slater is in and hits a wicked knee lift on Anderson and a lariat on Gallows before he’s stopped with a spinebuster from Anderson. Sheamus tags in and wipes out Slater with a couple of nasty right hands.

Slater tries to fight back, but he can’t make the tag. Gallows tags in and slams Slater to the mat before hitting repeated elbow drops. Gallows hits the ropes and sends Enzo flying to the outside and things begin to break down on the Raw team. Rhyno tags in and hits the Gore on Gallows for three.

Gallows and Anderson have been eliminated

Cass comes in with a big boot to Rhyno and Enzo heads to the top rope for a giant splash to eliminate Rhyno.

Heath Slater and Rhyno have been eliminated

Enzo takes it right to Jimmy Uso, but he’s stopped with a superkick and Jey follows with a Samoan splash for the three count.

Enzo and Cass have been eliminated

Sheamus turns his attention right to the Uso’s, taking Jey and wrapping him up in the ropes, hitting him with clubbing blows to the chest. Sheamus hits Jey with a fireman’s carry slam before gloating for a bit. Sheamus misses the brogue kick and tags out. Cesaro eats a double superkick and Sheamus scores with the brogue kick to Jimmy. Jey breaks up the pin, but he’s clotheslined to the outside by Sheamus. Sheamus seats Jimmy on the top rope and shoulders him, but Jey is able to make the tag. Sheamus hits an avalanche white noise, but Jey hits a Samoan splash for the pin, but it’s broken up by Cesaro!

Sheamus makes the tag and Cesaro hits repeated running uppercuts on Jey, but Jey stops Cesaro with one of his own. Cesaro responds with a springboard corkscrew uppercut. Cesaro knocks Jimmy off the top turnbuckle with a standing dropkick, hits a 619 on Jey, clotheslines Jimmy, hits a diving cross body on Jey, and somehow amazingly still can’t get the three count.

Cesaro catches Jey in the Big Swing, rotating around and around. The crowd doesn’t keep count, but he’s got to be around 20-30. Jimmy hits Cesaro with a superkick to the back of the knee as he’s setting up the Sharpshooter. Jey works Cesaro over into the Tequila Sunrise. Cesaro is able to reverse it into a Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring!

Jey reaches for the ropes and Cesaro pulls him back to the middle. Jimmy tries to break it up, but he’s stopped by a brogue kick, and Jey is forced to tap out.

The Uso’s have been eliminated

Winners and SOLE SURVIVORS: Cesaro and Sheamus (Team Raw)

After the match, Sheamus and Cesaro have their arms raised as The Usos recover. Sheamus looks to offer Cesaro a handshake but he fakes him out instead. They try to get reactions from the crowd and fans cheer Cesaro but boo Sheamus. Cesaro runs around the ring and stands on the barrier to celebrate with the Cesaro Section. We go to replays and come back to more antics between Sheamus and Cesaro at ringside.

Backstage:

Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley are shown celebrating backstage. Steph talks about how dominant Raw is looking tonight. Sami may have lost, but they’ve won both of the Survivor Series matches so far. Steph gives Foley props for putting Cesaro and Sheamus together as a team. Stephanie says she thinks they’ve earned a tag team championship match against New Day on Raw, and Foley thinks it should happen in Toronto tomorrow night on Raw. Steph says they need to focus on the Cuiserweight match. Foley says he put up the division, but Steph says she’s got faith in Kendrick. They talk about the Mega Match, and the Men’s Survivor Series match, saying it’ll be fun to watch. Foley says tonight should be really good for one McMahon, and really back for another.

– Cory Graves and Mauro Ranallo talks about the stakes for tonight’s Cruiserweight Championship match, with the fate of the entire division hanging in the balance. This cuts to a really cool video package highlighting THE Brian Kendrick as he talks about his role as the savior of the Cruiserweight division, and the chances that Kalisto will have tonight in his attempt to win the title and bring the Cruiserweight’s over to Smackdown Live.

Kalisto vs. The Brian Kendrick

Kalisto is the first man out for the Cruiserweight match, getting a little bit of a pop from the fans in attendance on his way to the ring.

Brian Kendrick is the next man to make his way out to the ring, and even though it’s not on the chyron, he is indeed introduced as THE Brian Kendrick.

Both men shake hands before the start of the match, with Kendrick talking smack the whole way through the handshake. Kendrick charges right in at the bell, running into a hurricanrana that sends him out of the ring. Kalisto follows up with a tope con hilo to the outside before bringing things back into the ring with a springboard cross body for two. Kalisto is sent into the ropes and he comes off with a springboard twisting press for two. Kalisto lays in with right hands and kicks to the leg, but Kendrick comes back with a single leg dropkick, and a belly to back suplex that’s good for a near fall.

Kendrick tries for sliced break #2, but can’t connect. Kalisto tries for salida del sol, but Kendrick avoids it. Both men trade roll ups, but neither can get three. Kendrick stops Kalisto with a back elbow that sends him to the mat. Kalisto is able to come back with a headscissors and a dropkick in the corner, but when he tries for the pin, Kendrick grabs the ropes and won’t let go. Kendrick rolls Kalisto up into the corner, sending the back of his head crashing into the turnbuckle. Kendrick wedges Kalisto in between the ring steps and the ringpost and Kendrick kicks the steps into Kalisto.

Kalisto struggles to beat the ten count, but he’s able to make it back into the ring just in time for Kendrick to continue the attack. Kendrick rips at Kalisto’s mask before wrapping him up in the ropes and wrenching away. Kendrick then simply backs up and kicks Kalisto square in the back. Kendrick picks Kalisto up for a quick suplex that’s good for another two count. Kendrick clamps on the cravat, putting the pressure on Kalisto’s jaw and neck. Kalisto tries to fight up to his feet, working his way out of the hold. Kendrick holds on, keeping a grip on the hold when Kalisto tries to roll through. Kalisto works his way up to his feet once more, rolling through and breaking the hold this time. Kalisto kicks Kendrick in the back of the leg, but Kendrick grabs Kalisto’s arm, and leaps through the ropes, causing Kalisto to clothesline himself against the top rope.

Kendrick picks himself up on the apron and Kalisto scores with a dropkick to the knee that sends Kendrick crashing to the floor. Kalisto heads out to the apron where he and Kendrick trade strikes. Kalisto grabs Kendrick and hits a Spanish Fly from the ring apron to the floor in an amazing sight.

Kalisto is able to bring things back into the ring before the ten count, but he can’t get the win. Kendrick rolls back out of the ring under the bottom rope, and Kalisto responds by flying through the ropes with a tope suicida, then mounting Kendrick for a series of punches. Kalisto picks up Kendrick and Kendrick shoves him back first into the ring apron. Kalisto rolls Kendrick back into the ring and he heads up to the top rope. Kendrick catches Kalisto with a dropkick to stop his momentum. Kendrick follows up after Kalisto, grabbing him from behind. Kalisto fights off Kendrick, but Kendrick rips at Kalisto’s face and mask. Kendrick pulls Kalisto over right into the Captain’s hook, pulling him from the top rope. Kalisto won’t give up, reaching the ropes and forcing the break.

Kendrick waits for Kalisto to stand, stalking him around the ring. Instead of waiting, Kendrick launches himself at Kalisto with a double axe handle to the spine. Kendrick beats on Kalisto in the corner, but then charges into a big boot from Kalisto, then double boots. Kalisto comes up with a series of kicks to Kendrick’s body and face. Kalisto avoids a charging Kendrick in the corner before driving him into the mat, then slamming Kendrick’s face into the mat repeatedly with hurricanrana variations. Kalisto connects with salida del sol, but Kendrick gets his foot on the ropes.

Kalisto heads to the apron and Baron Corbin is in the ring. Corbin hits Kendrick in the back of the head to knock him aside and catches Kalisto coming off the top rope with the End of Days. Kendrick gets the DQ win since Corbin attacked him first, and this one is over.

Winner by DQ and STILL WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Brian Kendrick

Kendrick is announced the winner as Corbin marches up the ramp and to the back. Kendrick clutches his title as his music hits and we go to replays.

– We check in with Renee Young, Booker T, Jerry Lawler, and Lita, the pre-show panel. Renee talks about Kendrick remaining at the top of the Cruiserweight division. Lita says she knew Kendrick had a plan. That match was intense, and Corbin was the cherry on top. Lawler talks about the dominance of Raw winning both the Women’s and Tag Team match. He also talks about Cesaro and Sheamus being the strongest link. Booker talks about the women’s match and how Charlotte proved herself as the captain. Booker also talks about being excited for the Mega Match of Goldberg vs. Lesnar. Renee talks about there being a lot more to come tonight.

Backstage:

Baron Corbin is shown walking backstage and he’s interrupted by Daniel Bryan. Bryan asks how selfish Corbin can be, he just cost Smackdown the Cruiserweight division. Corbin says Kalisto’s a pest, and the last thing they need is more pests on Smackdown. Bryan tells him to go away, and that he’ll be dealt with on Tuesday.

– After a video package highlighting the events leading up to the Men’s match tonight, we’re back in the arena for the introduction of Team Smackdown’s mascot, James Ellsworth!

5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Match
Team Raw (Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns, Chris Jericho, Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman) vs. Team Smackdown (AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, Shane McMahon, Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton)

Shane McMahon is the first man to make his way out for Team Smackdown, and the Commissioner gets a very warm welcome from the Toronto crowd.

Bray Wyatt’s music hits next, and Wyatt makes his way out to a sea of fireflies accompanied by his teammate Randy Orton.

AJ Styles makes his way out next, and the WWE World Champion gets a warm welcome for his first Survivor Series match.

Dean Ambrose is the last man to make his way to the ring for Team Smackdown, and the Lunatic Fringe also gets a warm welcome as Team Smackdown already has a good deal of support from the crowd.

Braun Strowman is the first man to make his way out for Team Raw, and the big man looks odd wearing a Raw t-shirt, and he doesn’t really get much of a reaction.

Seth Rollins is out next, and the he’s wearing a bizarre hybrid Raw/Rollins t-shirt (split down the middle). He’s followed shortly by Roman Reigns who is almost universally booed as he walks out on the stage to a gigantic wall of heat.

Chris Jericho makes his way out into the arena to a huge pop. The crowd goes absolutely nuts, showering Jericho in ‘Y2J’ chants. And finally, Kevin Owens makes his way out last. Owens gets a big initial pop, but Jericho still seems to be the most over member of Team Raw. It’s worth noting that Owens isn’t even wearing a Raw t-shirt, instead simply draping a Raw towel over his shoulder.

Everyone stands in the ring and Owens and Styles compare belts. Both men get pops, but the crowd go right into another Y2J chant.

The bell rings and it looks like Styles and Owens will kick things off for their respective teams. Both men circle each other before Owens grabs Styles leg for a takedown. Styles clamps on a headlock, but Owens turns things around with a headlock of his own. Owens grinds Styles down to one knee, but Styles is quick to fight back up and push Owens away. Owens grabs the ropes to avoid a dropkick and he follows with a missed senton as Styles rolls out of the way. Both men trade right hands, with Styles getting the upperhand. Styles runs into a knee to the gut, but avoids the pop up powerbomb. Styles misses with the Pele kick, and neither man can gain the advantage. Both stare at each other and ‘stupid idiot’ chants reverberate. Owens tags in Jericho and the crowd goes nuts, even more so when Owens huge Jericho.

Jericho takes the fight right to Styles with a couple of clubbing right hands and a big shoulder block. Jericho hits the ropes and runs right into a dropkick from Styles. Jericho senses trouble on his own team, seeing Rollins laugh, so he shoves him, tagging him in at the same time. Rollins enters the match and squares off with AJ, but AJ tags out to Ambrose instead. Ambrose makes his way into the ring and stares down Rollins while walking around. Both men try to go behind to gain the advantage, then both go for the arm before Rollins locks in a headlock. Dean works into a wristlock, but Rollins turns things around for a quick pin. Ambrose connects with a shoulder tackle, then he kicks Rollins in the gut. Ambrose can’t hit a DDT, but Rollins can’t hit the pedigree, and both men are at a stand-still. Jericho tags back into the match and the crowd is very happy.

Jericho yells at Ambrose that he owes him 15,000 dollars before Ambrose tosses him into the corner and kicks away. Jericho fights back with a series of chops before he’s arm dragged repeatedly by Ambrose. Jericho sends Ambrose into the ropes where he tries for the rebound lariat. Jericho tries for the codebreaker but is countered. Jericho fights Ambrose into the corner with an open right hand. Jericho knees Ambrose in the chest, then takes him back into the corner, talking smack and slapping his face. Ambrose responds with a slap of his own before taking Jericho into the corner and mounting him for a series of right hands. Ambrose sends Jericho into the corner and tags in Shane. Shane comes in with a series of jabs that drives Jericho out of the ring. Jericho is frustrated, heading right back into the ring for another combination of punches and a flying back elbow from Shane. Shane hits an arm drag on Jericho, then another before he tosses him into the corner. Shane runs into a boot to the chest, and a missile dropkick from the middle rope.

Rollins tags in and takes Shane over with a quick suplex for a two count. Roman tags in to loads of boos and he and Rollins split Shane’s legs wishbone style. Reigns follows Shane into the corner and hits him with a massive clothesline, then a series of clotheslines. Shane drops down, but Roman picks him right back up for a huge right hand. Rollins tags back into the match and heads to the top rope for a flying fist to the top of Shane’s head. Rollins takes Shane over and clamps on a rear chin lock in the middle of the ring.

Shane fights up and out of the hold, but Rollins puts and elbow to the back of his neck to stop him. Shane takes Rollins over with a back body drop and he tags out to Ambrose. Owens tags in and eats a couple of running elbows and a big clothesline from Ambrose. Ambrose hits a running forearm in the corner, then eats a running clothesline from Owens. Owens tries for the cannonball, but he’s met with a clothesline from Owens. Owens bails to the floor, but Ambrose dives through the ropes to wipe him out. Back in the ring, Owens is able to score with a superkick, but Ambrose counters a pop-up powerbomb with a hurricanrana. Jericho breaks up a dirty deeds attempt, and everyone’s in the ring for a stare-down.

Things break down into a brawl with everyone being tossed from the ring except for Ambrose. Everyone fights on the outside with Owens throwing Wyatt into the barricade, Strowman catching Dean Ambrose out of the air and walking him around, only to be dropped by a flying fist from Styles. Owens heads to the top rope and leaps out with a huge swanton on top of everyone brawling on the outside. Shane McMahon is in the ring and he goes up to the top rope. Shane is stopped by Strowman who grabs Shane by the throat and launches him into the ring. Styles and Ambrose are in the ring to gang up on Strowman with punches and flying forearms. Shane sends Strowman over the top by launching himself into the big man. Reigns comes in and takes out Styles, but Ambrose is able to take out Rollins with the rebound lariat, and Styles comes back with a Pele kick to Reigns.

Styles and Ambrose’s tempers flare, causing the two to begin shoving, and eventually attacking eachother. Strowman grabs Ambrose and hits a running powerslam for the three count.

Dean Ambrose has been eliminated

Strowman brings Shane into the ring forcefully, taking him into the corner and beating him down with punches and kicks. Strowman hits a running splash in the corner, crushing Shane. Styles tries for the Phenomenal forearm on Strowman, but he’s launched out to the floor instead. Orton tries for the RKO, but Strowman pushes him off and hits a massive clothesline. Strowman charges in but he’s stopped cold as Bray Wyatt is standing between him and Orton. Wyatt begins speaking to Strowman and Jericho is there telling him not to listen to Wyatt. Braun grabs Jericho by the throat, then grabs Bray. Braun pushes Jericho away, then hits Bray with a clothesline and a dropkick that sends Bray crashing to the outside.

Braun heads out to the floor and takes apart the German announcers table, turning around into an RKO across the table from Orton. Orton picks up Wyatt and brings him over, getting him to help clear off the announcers table. Orton and Wyatt pick up Strowman and place him across the announcers table. Shane is coming to and he pulls himself up to his feet in the corner. Shane pulls himself slowly up to the top rope and he stands, crossing himself, then leaping off with a giant elbow drop through Strowman’s heart and the announcer’s table. Rollins and Reigns come in from out of nowhere to take out Wyatt and Orton. Everyone is down.

Fans chant “holy s–t” as Reigns and Rollins come over to do battle with Wyatt and Orton. Fans chant “this is awesome” now. AJ checks on Shane as the referee counts. AJ rolls Shane back into the ring but Braun is still laid out. Braun gets up and can’t make it back in the ring before the 10 count as someone is under the ring holding his boot. It’s James Ellsworth!

Braun Strowman has been eliminated

Strowman is furious and he chases Ellsworth up the ramp. Ellsworth slips and falls, and Strowman proceeds to place his foot through Ellsworth’s chest. Strowman picks up Ellsworth and throws him off the stage through some tables, leaving him laying as he makes his way to the back. Back in the ring Jericho tries to score a pin on Shane, but he’s not able to get three. Jericho stands on Shane’s chest before tagging out to Owens. Owens comes in with a series of right hands to the side of Shane’s head. Owens hits a nasty senton, then goes for the pin, getting another two count. Owens backs Shane into the corner and tags Jericho who comes in to another big pop. Jericho picks up Shane and drops him with a quick dropkick for another near fall. Jericho snap mares Shane over and locks him in a rear chin lock.

Shane is able to fight out of the hold, burying a couple of rights in Jericho’s gut. Shane tries for a dropkick, but Jericho grabs the ropes and avoids it. Jericho connects with a lionsault, but Shane is able to roll up Jericho for a two count. Jericho connects with a codebreaker on Shane, then another on Randy. Jericho pins Shane, but he’s not able to get the three count.

Jericho picks up Shane and buries his knee in Shane’s jaw before tagging out to Rollins. Rollins comes in and stomps away repeatedly on Shane, not letting up for a moment. Rollins picks up Shane and sends him into the hostile corner, tagging out to Jericho. Rollins slams Shane to the mat and Jericho heads to the top. Jericho leaps off the top rope, but Shane rolls out of the way and Jericho crashes to the mat hard.

Shane is able to make the tag to Styles, who comes in with a couple of big clotheslines and a leaping clothesline in the corner to Jericho. Styles shoulders Jericho and drops him with a knee to the back of the neck for a two count. Styles teases the Styles Clash, but Jericho counters, trying for the Walls of Jericho. Styles avoids the hold, working over into the Calf Crusher in the middle of the ring. Jericho breaks the hold and goes right back for the Walls of Jericho. Styles counters with a rollup for two, and when both men stand Styles scores with rapid strikes. Jericho tries for a roll up, and Styles tries for the Clash, but Owens is in and he whacks Styles with the list of Jericho before sending Styles into the ropes for the pop-up powerbomb. Owens is tossed from the match by the ref.

Kevin Owens has been eliminated

Jericho looks upset, grabbing the pieces of his list and handing them off to the ref. Orton hits Jericho with an RKO out of nowhere and he pins Jericho for three.

Chris Jericho has been eliminated

Rollins is in and he and Orton trade right hands, going at it immediately. Rollins hits the ropes and Orton connects with a snap powerslam for another near fall. Orton slams Rollins’ head into the corner and tags out to Wyatt. Wyatt comes in with a giant right hand for Rollins before running full force into Rollins twice in the corner. Wyatt pins Rollins for another two count before mounting him with some nasty punches in the ropes. Bray tags out to Orton who comes in and stomps away at Rollins’ arms and legs. Orton seats Rollins on the top rope, but Rollins is able to fight back. Orton stops him with a straight right hand, and he seats Rollins on top again, connecting with a superplex this time.

Styles and Reigns both tag in and Reigns connects with a leaping clothesline before taking Bray off the apron with a right hand. Orton comes into the ring and eats a Samoan drop from Roman, as do Bray and Styles. The crowd is hating this dominance from Roman. Roman gets Styles up in razor’s edge position and drives him down with a sit-out powerbomb for two. Reigns is stunned that Styles is able to kick out.

Reigns drops down in the corner and he tries for the Superman punch, but Styles counters with a kick to the face. Shane tags in and comes in with a series of jabs to Roman’s face. Roman pushes Shane away, but Shane comes back with a nice DDT. Shane connects with a clothesline on Rollins before slamming Rollins’ face against his own knee. Shane shoulders Rollins and drives him down, forcing him out of the ring. Shane sends Reigns crashing shoulder first into the ring post, and Roman finds himself seated in the corner. Shane crawls across the ring and heads up to the top rope. Shane attempts to go coast to coast and Shane leaps from the top rope right into a spear. Reigns goes for the pin, but it’s unclear as to whether or not Shane kicked out. The ref checks out Shane, and says he’s no longer able to compete, waving him off.

Shane McMahon has been eliminated

Shane is helped to the back by doctors as Styles, Rollins and Wyatt team up on Rollins and Reigns on the outside. Back in the ring Bray hits the running senton on Reigns for two count before hitting him with a series of elbow to the side of the head. Orton tags into the match and he takes it to Roman in the corner, hitting him with a big European uppercut before driving his knee into Roman’s throat. Bray tags back in and hits Roman with a big right hand while the crowd chants ‘Roman sucks’. Roman explodes out of the corner with a clothesline and Rollins is looking for a tag. Rollins tags in as does Styles, and Rollins connects with a big boot and blockbuster right off the bat. Styles sends Rollins to the apron, then eats a springboard knee from Rollins. Rollins dives through the ropes to take out Bray Wyatt on the floor, then he hits Styles with a running forearm in the corner. Rollins hits another corner forearm before seating Styles on the top turnbuckle. Rollins tries for a superplex, but Styles escapes. Styles is sent to the apron and he goes for the top, but he’s stopped by an enzugiri from Rollins.

Rollins heads up to the top with for a superplex, following right up with a falcon arrow, but the pin is broken up by Orton. Rollins tosses Orton to the floor, but when he goes for a suicide dive, Orton stops him with a forearm to the face. Reigns is in to beat down Orton, and he and Rollins descend, attacking Orton with punches and stomps. Reigns and Rollins look at the German announcers table, then over at Orton. Roman also takes apart the Spanish announcers table, and Rollins picks Orton up to his feet. Styles comes in from out of nowhere with a forearm to the back of Roman’s head. Styles takes out Rollins as well before rolling back into the ring. Dean Ambrose comes down from backstage and takes out AJ from behind, attacking him and laying in with repeated right hands to the face. Officials are down from backstage to break it up, but Ambrose continues to fight with Styles on the outside, sending him crashing into the ring steps. Security is in to take Ambrose out of the building through the crowd.

Reigns and Rollins pull security off Ambrose, knowing he’ll help them, and Ambrose rejoins Rollins and Reigns. Ambrose helps Rollins get Styles in place for a Shield style triple powerbomb. Rollins sends Styles back into the ring and pins him for three.

AJ Styles has been eliminated

Orton and Wyatt are shown staring down Rollins and Reigns from outside the ring. Luke Harper appears from out of nowhere, smiling wide as he climbs up to the apron with Orton and Wyatt. Rollins and Reigns knock Harper from the apron, but the allows Orton and Wyatt to attack from behind. Orton brings Reigns out to the floor where he’s superkicked by Harper. Back in the ring Rollins connects with a sling blade on Wyatt before launching himself over the ropes to take out Harper on the floor. Rollins heads back into the ring and hits a running forearm in the corner. Orton is in the ring and he’s knocked into the corner for a forarm from Rollins as well. Bray rolls up Rollins but eats an immediate superkick. Rollins puts Wyatt in place, then heads to the top rope. Rollins goes for a frog splash, but leaps off into an RKO from Orton. Bray pins Rollins and gets the three count.

Seth Rollins has been eliminated

Roman Reigns slowly makes his way up the ring steps and into the ring. Bray smiles as Roman makes his way through the ropes. Roman ducks a clotheslines and sends Orton off the apron with a Superman punch. Reigns takes Wyatt to the outside, fighting him around the ringside area. Orton tries to interfere, but Reigns stops him and throws him into the ring steps before throwing Wyatt into the barricade. Reigns hits Bray with the drive by before taking out Harper with a spear on the outside.

Bray tries for Sister Abigail when Roman re-enters the ring. Roman pushes him off and connects with the Superman punch. Roman heads into the corner and waits for Wyatt to stand. Orton pushes Wyatt out of the way, taking the spear, and allowing Wyatt to sneak in with a Sister Abigail on Reigns. Wyatt pins Reigns, and gets the three count.

Roman Reigns has been eliminated

Winners: Team Smackdown (Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton)

Wyatt kneels in the middle of the ring while Orton and Harper pose in the corners. Things quickly fade to black while Team Smackdown celebrates in the ring.

– It’s time for a video package recapping the events leading to our main event. Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg is next!

Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg

Brock Lesnar is the first man to make his way out to the arena, and of course he’s accompanied by his advocate Paul Heyman. Lesnar gets a great reaction on his way down to the ring, but it’s not long before the ‘Goldberg’ chants begin.

The Goldberg chants will not stop and Lesnar looks unimpressed while waiting in the ring. Goldberg’s music hits and the crowd goes nuts. Security knocks on Goldberg’s door in the back and he makes his way out and down the hallways in the bowels of the arena. The crowd is absolutely loving this. Goldberg makes his way through the curtain and heads out to the entryway, making his way down the aisle through a shower of pyro. It definitely feels like 1998 all over again when Goldberg makes his way out to the ring.

After formal ring introductions from Jojo, we’re ready to kick off the main event of the evening.

Both men square up right away before the bell. When the bell does ring, Lesnar grabs Goldberg and drives him into the corner. Goldberg is unfazed, shoving Lesnar to his back. Goldberg connects with an immediate spear. Goldberg hits a second spear right off the bat. Goldberg stands over Brock in an impressive sight while the crowd chants his name. Goldberg waits for Lesnar to stand and he gets Lesnar up and over with a jackhammer. Goldberg pins Lesnar for three.

Winner: Bill Goldberg

The crowd is loving this, still chanting ‘Goldberg’. Goldberg rolls out of the ring and has some words with his wife and son before heading off toward the back.

Goldberg hops back into the ring and his son leaps in with him. For some reason, Goldberg’s son is shirtless in a show of solidarity with his dad. The show ends with Goldberg heading off toward the back, and Brock Lesnar nowhere to be seen.
