According to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bill Goldberg was given a “real big money deal” for his match against Brock Lesnar at WWE Survivor Series.
As for Goldberg’s future in WWE, it’s being said Goldberg is open to wrestling for the same amount of pay as much as Vince McMahon wants him to, so how much we see Goldberg in WWE from here on out looks like it all depends on how much Vince wants to use him.
As for Goldberg’s WrestleMania 33 match, we noted after Survivor Series that his feud with Brock Lesnar does not appear to be over, and it’s likely the two will face each other at WrestleMania. A possible setup for the WrestleMania rematch could take place at the Royal Rumble, during which Brock Lesnar interferes in the Royal Rumble match causing Goldberg to get eliminated.
This is a similar angle to the one WWE did back in 2004, where Lesnar cost Goldberg the Royal Rumble, and Goldberg then cost Lesnar the WWE Title, setting up their WrestleMania 20 match.
