As previously reported, Bill Goldberg is rumored to make his return to WWE after being away for over a decade to face Brock Lesnar in a WrestleMania 20 rematch at the upcoming Survivor Series event.
One of the ideas pitched for Goldberg’s storyline return would see Shane McMahon signing Goldberg to the SmackDown brand to battle Brock Lesnar as his proxy. Lesnar would then go over Goldberg, which would ultimately lead to showdown between Brock Lesnar and Shane at WrestleMania 33 next year.
As always, plans within WWE seem to change on the fly, but this is just one idead that is being discussed.
