Eddie Edwards defeated Bobby Lashley to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on tonight’s episode of Impact Wrestling.
In what some might consider to be a huge upset, Edwards pinned Lashley after Lashley himself was allowed to choose his opponent for the night. Lashley picked from Edwards, Moose and EC3, choosing Edwards because he was going to make it easy to win. The final moments of the match saw Edwards staggering after getting sent into the guardrail, but he avoided a spear and connected with the Boston Knee Party to win.
With this win, Edwards becomes only the third man to hold both the ROH and TNA World Titles.
