As noted, Austin Aries suffered an injury to the eye after taking a kick from WWE NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura at Thursday’s live event in Fresno, California.
Aries reportedly suffered a large orbital fracture from the kick and is now set to undergo surgery this week in Birmingham, Alabama, according to PWInsider. He’s set to be out of action until at least early 2017.
