During his recent appearance on Talk Is Jericho with Chris Jericho, WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens revealed when he learned of the decision to put the title on him.
Owens said he found out about the title win about three hours before RAW went on air, and that Triple H being the one to hand him the title was an incredible moment. He noted Triple H was the one who took a risk in signing him, and he said ‘thank you’ to HHH in the ring, but it wasn’t just for the title. Owens says he had to thank HHH for everything he did for him, including taking a chance on him when he didn’t fit the mold of a ‘typical’ WWE Superstar.
