– Hideo Itami stopped Austin Aries from attacking No Way Jose after Aries’ win over Jose at tonight’s WWE NXT “Takeover: Brooklyn II” event. In the video below, Aries says he won the match but didn’t get to walk out with his arm in the air, which seems to be a trend for him in NXT. Aries says he sent Baron Corbin packing and shut No Way Jose down tonight, and will now take care of Itami.
– Shinsuke Nakamura became the new WWE NXT Champion at tonight’s NXT “Takeover: Brooklyn II” by defeating Samoa Joe in the main event. This is Nakamura’s first gold since signing with WWE.
The match featured many near-falls and counters, ending with Nakamura kicking out of a Musclebuster, eventually going on to pin Joe after two Kinshasas. Below are videos of Nakamura’s entrance and the post-match celebration:

– Takeover also saw The Revival retain the NXT Tag Team Titles over Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa in a great match. Triple H tweeted the following photo with Dash and Dawson after their win.
