The following video features Finn Balor in a WWE exclusive video less conducted less than an hour after he relinquished the WWE Universal Championship.
Balor talks about what a whirldwind the last 24 hours were for him from Sunday at Summerslam until he had to give up the championship, and talks about how the injury happened. He talks about winning the title and not being able to sleep, then says he thought if he got through his appearance on Good Morning America, he might be OK. Balor says he bumped into someone in the hallway and it made him realize what situation he was in, and his injury was much worse than thought.
Balor says went to the hospital and his X-rays were OK, but the MRI later revealed the labrum tear, and he knew he wasn’t working any time soon. Balor says going to the ring on RAW was weird because he felt good carrying the title and saw everyone smiling, but it all set in after he went through the curtain. He says reality set in, and he was no longer champion and he will be sidelined for six months.
