WWE Smackdown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan appeared today on the Bear Hug It Out podcast to promote tonight’s WWE Smackdown taking place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, and during the interview Bryan confirmed Smackdown is working on introducing a new Womens title for the show. Bryan added they are taking their time with the development of the new title because they want to do it right.
Bryan then took a couple joking shots at Raw introducing the Universal title, before adding he thinks it’s ultimately a good thing that Raw will have its own top title.
“It’s great having the only real World Champion on Smackdown”, Bryan said. “[Raw is] making a title that’s even bigger called the Universal title! It’s bigger! You’re the champion of the Galaxy!”
