Cody Rhodes Says He Owns the Rights to the “Rhodes” Name

There have apparently been some reports going around stating that Cody Rhodes couldn’t use his last name for some of his upcoming independent wrestling appearances.

Cody has been advertised for his upcoming independent dates with the “Rhodes” last name, however it should be noted that none of his merchandise on Pro Wrestling Tees has the “Rhodes” last name on it.

Cody responded to the reports on Twitter, writing:

I own Rhodes

He was with me for my first breath and I was with him for his last

There’s no piece of paper on Earth that takes my name away
