– As seen on last night’s WWE SmackDown, Cesaro won a Fatal 4 Way to become the new contender to WWE United States Champion Rusev, then lost to Rusev right after. Cesaro is briefly featured in this SmackDown Fallout video with Tom Phillips. Rusev will be defending his title against Titus O’Neil on Monday’s 4th of July RAW.
– As noted, Hideo Itami made his return at last night’s WWE NXT live event in Winter Haven, FL, after being out of action for more than a year with a shoulder injury. Our correspondent noted that it did not appear Itami has altered his style and had no obvious ring rust. Itami reportedly looked great in the ring and seemed happy to be back.
