Sasha Banks Injured By a Referee, Eden Comments On Her WWE Status, Update On Ric Flair

– There has been a lot of speculation on Eden’s WWE status after husband Cody Rhodes announced on Twitter that he had requested his WWE release. Eden, who was home sick for a few days, tweeted the following and confirmed she will be working Extreme Rules tonight:

I’m in NJ getting ready for Extreme Rules. So I guess people made false reports again ?? Feels like I’m on Days of Our Lives! The suspense!

– Ric Flair was off live events again this weekend, which would be the third in a row. As noted, Flair is banned from ringside for Natalya vs. WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte at tonight’s WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view.

– As noted via womens-wrestling.com, Sasha Banks was reportedly injured during a six-woman match at the May 15th WWE live event in Charlottesville, Virginia. The report from Squared Circle Sirens said it was some sort of head injury.

In an update, Dave Meltzer confirms the injury is why Sasha was off WWE live events this past week. It appears Sasha was injured by the referee, who accidentally caught her with a solid knee to the head. It was described as a freak accident and was not a spot where the referee and Banks were supposed to have serious contact.

As of this writing, WWE has not confirmed the injury but word going around is that she suffered a concussion. We’ll keep you updated.
