Enzo Amore Injured At WWE Payback, Match Stopped (Updated)

The #1 contenders tag team tournament finals at tonight’s WWE Payback pay-per-view with Enzo Amore and Big Cass vs. The Vaudevillains was stopped when Simon Gotch tried to launch Enzo under the bottom rope and Enzo apparently suffered a serious injury. Enzo’s neck was caught on the middle rope, then the bottom rope and he landed bad at ringside.

The referee and Cass checked on Enzo before the referee called a doctor out. The match was then called with no winner announced.

The Vaudevillains and WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day, who were watching at ringside, all seemed legitimately concerned. Enzo was put into a neck brace and taken away on a stretcher.

Below is video:

Mauro Ranallo, who is backstage at Payback, tweeted that Enzo was being taken to a hospital. Michael Cole noted on commentary that Enzo was talking and moving his fingers, which is a good sign.

Please send your prayers to @WWEAaLLday21 He’s on his way to hospital. You will understand if I don’t tweet much until I know more.
