WWE WrestleMania 33 Location To Be Revealed Soon

WWE is expected to announce by the end of next week that the the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, FL will host WrestleMania 33. One source said that a press conference will be held next Tuesday featuring Vince McMahon, John Cena and others to make the announcement.

The Orlando Biz Journal reported back in 2013 that The Orlando Sports Commission received a request for a proposal from WWE for the city to host the event in 2015 or this year.

WrestleMania was last held at The Citrus Bowl in 2008, which drew 74,635 fans and featured Shawn Michaels defeating Ric Flair in Flair’s retirement match, Randy Orton retaining the WWE Championship by defeating John Cena and Triple H in a triple threat match, and The Undertaker defeating Edge to win the World Heavyweight championship. The stadium was rebuilt in 2014, with 90% of the stadium being torn down and replaced.
