A recent episode of “Talk is Jericho” features Chris Jericho talking to former WWE Tag Team Champions Edge and Christian.
After discussing Daniel Bryan’s WWE retirement and Edge’s departure, Christian noted that he hasn’t technically retired and has never had a sitdown conversation with WWE about his in-ring future. However, Christian said he has come to terms with the fact that he’s probably done wrestling for the rest of his life.
Later in the podcast they discussed their new WWE Network show, “The Edge and Christian Show That Totally Reeks of Awesomeness” and said WWE’s Kevin Dunn approached them about doing the show shortly after their podcast with Steve Austin on the Network. They were interested but didn’t want to do just another “talking head magazine show” and wanted the show to be more “part Key & Peele, part Tosh.0 and part Saturday Night Live.” They knew if they could get Vince McMahon involved and get his stamp of approval then it would be a hit. Vince was scheduled to arrive for filming the first episode at 11am and arrived on time, willing to do whatever he was asked. Edge said, “Vince told us it was our show, and everything was up to us.”
