Backstage Talk On How Vince McMahon Sees WWE NXT, Heat Over How Tyler Breeze Has Been Booked

Triple H has said several times that Vince McMahon loves the WWE NXT brand and Vince praised Triple H for his work with developmental earlier this month in an interview. However, internally there’s a different picture as it’s seen as a touring brand filled with many guys Vince does not see as “money” talents, according to The Wrestling Observer.

We noted before how Triple H had some heat for not selling his RAW beating from Roman Reigns a few months back by appearing in the ring at the NXT “Takeover: London” show that same week in the ring. According to The Observer, there’s also been a lot of talk about how Tyler Breeze has been treated on the main roster. Breeze’s push or lack thereof has created a situation where NXT talents see him as a NXT star who was ready to be a main roster star but then got treated how he did. It’s also led to a lot of questions regarding whether or not talents want to be called up. While the main roster position and money is always the goal, there’s a feeling that NXT is a lot of fun and the main roster is everyone’s dream but also very frustrating.

A lot of the Breeze related heat had to do with how his call-up was made to be a big deal on the Breaking Ground WWE Network show but by the time that aired, Breeze was already at the very bottom of the card on the main roster.
