WWE Smackdown Results, July 2

The SmackDown! opening video plays and welcome to WWE Friday Night SmackDown!
We have a great pyro opening to the show like usual.
We are told by Todd Grisham that Kane will take on Luke Gallows tonight and questions if tonight will be the end of the S.E.S
Jack Swagger’s music plays and the former World Heavyweight Champion makes his way down to the ring. He has a microphone. Last week he said he was going to make people suffer. He says he wanted to take all the suffering that was inside of him and make others suffer. Swagger says it is time for other people to feel the pain he did after being cheated out of his title. He says if he can do it to the world’s largest athlete then he can do it to anyone. We see a video showing Swagger damaging Show’s ankle last week. Swagger asks the fans if they can see what they are capable of. He says they should be talking about that instead of MITB. He said MITB is where his journey started. He says he remembers winning the MITB match and becoming the biggest star at WrestleMania 26. He says that moment changed his life and he says that five days after it he became World Heavyweight Champion. Swagger says two weeks ago it all came crashing down. He says he was cheated out of his world title in the fatal 4 way match. Swagger says there was no rules. He said the worst thing was that his Daddy was devastated. He says that nobody care at all. Big Show’s music comes out and the World’s Largest Athlete comes out limping and smiling.
Big Show starts fake crying and mocks Swagger. He asks Swagger what he wants him to do, call him a “wambulance” or buy him some “French Cries”. Show says that nobody cares about Swagger and there are more things to be upset about like being in an elevator with Show when he has gas. Show says Swagger hurt him and surprised him but he didn’t finish the job. Show says he is still standing and breathing. Show says he won’t stop. Show begs Swagger to please come and try put the ankle lock on Show one more time. Swagger says he has nothing to prove to Big Show. He says that Show felt his ligament tearing away from his bone and it is the same thing Mysterio will feel at MITB. Swagger says he will win back the World Title. Show calls Swagger delusional. He says Swagger cannot find the difference between fantasy and reality. Show says the fantasy is the fact that everyone wants to see Swagger as the champion. Show says that in Swaggers fantasy he can break Swagger’s ankle. Show says that in his reality he can break Swaggers jaw. Show says he will break it now. Show limps down to the ring. The commentators call Show “The Giant” numerous times. Cody Rhodes jumps Show from behind and now it is a two on one on Show. “Dashing” Cody Rhodes works on Show’s leg as Swagger kicks him. Show fights back and Rey Mysterio comes down to the ring and fights off Swagger and Rhodes. Show’s music plays.
Up next Kofi Kingston goes up against Dolph Ziggler next. Finally Ziggler gets to have a match with some meaning.

Tonight, Rey Mysterio will team with Big Show and they will be against Jack Swagger and “Dashing” Cody Rhodes.
The WWE Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston comes out to the ring. Matt Striker says that Ghana knocked USA out of the World Cup so he doesn’t like Kofi anymore. There are obviously not many Football fans in the crowd tonight as Kofi gets a massive pop. We see Vickie talking to Ziggler backstage and if Ziggler wins he will get an IC Shot. Vickie asks Ziggler what he is staring at. The Camera man shows Rosa Mendes. Dolph Ziggler comes out to the ring accompanied by Vickie.
Match 1-Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler
Ziggler tries to take him down immediately and succeeds. They basically roll around the ring locking in and escaping pins. Kofi gets the advantage and clotheslines Ziggler. Kofi goes for a kick but Ziggler stays away.
*Commercial Break*
We are back and Ziggler has Kofi in an armlock. Ziggler takes Kofi down. Ziggler gets a cover for a two count. Ziggler kicks Kofi once or twice and pins him again for another two count. Ziggler with a headlock takeover and then a neckbreaker style move for a near fall. Ziggler punches and kicks Kofi Kingston. Ziggler hits a takeover on Kofi for another near fall. Ziggler hits some punches on Kofi and Irish whips him into the corner. Ziggler runs towards the corner but Kofi moves and kicks Ziggler into the head. Kofi goes up onto the top rope and hits a cross body for a two count. Ziggler with a clothesline, then a dropkick and another clothesline. Kofi hits the Boom Boom Boom! Kofi signals the trouble in paradise. He goes for it but Ziggler ducks and hits a Fame Asser for a two count. Kofi hit the trouble in paradise on Ziggler while he was talking to Vickie and gets the victory.
Winner: Kofi Kingston
After the match Ziggler gives an evil look towards Vickie Guerrero. Vickie walks off in disgust.
We go backstage to the SES’s locker room and Punk has a cast on. Punk tells Serena that he can handle it. Serena says all they have to do is admit it and they will be left alone. Punk says they don’t have to admit anything. Punk says he has it under control. Serena says do not have control at all. Gallows tells Serena to calm down. Serena asks Punk id he knows how bad he is hurt. Serena says she never saw Punk like that before and she felt hopeless. Serena said it broke her heart. Punk says tonight Luke will take care of Kane. Serena walks off. Punk tells Gallows that it will all end tonight.
It is now time for the Peep Show. There are three ladders in the ring and two outside. The MITB briefcase. Matt Hardy is sitting down in the ring. Christian reminds us that a historic WWE match will become a PPV, MITB. Christian introduces his guest Matt Hardy who gets a good pop. Christian says it has been a crazy few months for Matt. Christian says last week he finally got reinstated and he beat Drew McIntyre and has since been deported. Christian says it was good to see Matt in the ring with Drew and not get dropped on his head. Matt says Christian made a good few points. Matt says in his WWE career he has went through a lot, he was fired, suspended, brought back, backstabbed but has always been brought back. Matt says that he will…… Christian interrupts and says that he will not win the MITB. Christian says they both know the risks involved in this match. Matt says him and Christian made it famous. Christian says that him and Matt have never won the match. Christian says that nobody deserves to win it more than Christian or Matt. Christian says he is going to win the match. Matt says he is glad Christian is confident. Matt says there careers are similar. They have both won Tag Championships and Intercontinental Championships and United States Champions and of course WWECW Champions. Matt says one thing have alluded both of them and that is the World Title. They both climb up the ladder. Matt says whoever takes down the briefcase is going to change everything and he plans on that bring him. Christian says it looks like they are both confident and that is a good thing. Christian says neither Matt or him have been The Chosen One or Drew McIntyre. Christian says him and Matt had to fight for everything they deserve. Christian says he is sick of guys like McIntyre coming in and getting opportunity after opportunity and never earn. Christian speaks for all of us. Christian says it is his time to win the MITB. Christian says he will do it. Matt says he is frustrated too. Matt says he hopes when it is all said and done, the two last guys who are on the ladder are the guys who deserve it, Christian and Matt. Matt and Christian both say they will win the match. Christian is about to walk out but changes his mind. Matt attacks Christian and throws him into the ladder. Matt’s music plays and he leaves.
We go backstage and Cody Rhodes is looking at himself in the mirror. He starts talking to himself and says he looks dashing. Cody interviews himself and says that MITB is going to be his night. Cody says he took the biggest man in the MITB match and humiliated him. He asks himself how Show can even climb a ladder. Cody says that tonight he is going to show Rey how easy it is to cash in the MITB and become the first Dashing World Champion. He keeps repeating the world Dashing.
Kane comes out to the ring and he is against Luke Gallows.
*Commercial Break*
Luke Gallows comes out with CM Punk. A “CM Drunk” sign is shown in the crowd. No, he is Straight Edge kids.
Match 2-Kane vs. Luke Gallows
Kane goes straight to the corner with Gallows and hits some punches and kicks. Kane tries to choke Gallows with the ropes. Kane with another chop and an uppercut. Kane clotheslines Gallows in the corner. Kane punches him again and tosses him across the ring. Gallows gets some control and hits some punches on Kane. Gallows clotheslines Kane. Gallows with some kicks to the back of Kane. Gallows runs towards Kane but Kane grabs him by the neck. The Mystery member of the SES interferes and gets Chokeslammed. Gallows also gets Chokeslammed.
Winner: Kane by Disqualification
Kane is about to chokeslam Punk. Serena comes running down and says she can prove he is innocent. Serena says Punk couldn’t have done it. Serena says that on May 31st, the day everything happened, Punk was nowhere near The Undertaker. Serena says she knows because she was with him. Punk was saving her. Kane says he doesn’t believe her. Serena asks Kane to listen to her. She tells Kane to watch the titantron. We see a video showing a security camera of a bar on May 31st 2010. We see Serena walking into the bar and eventually having an alcoholic beverage. We then see her talking to somebody and having a drink with him. The guy then starts flirting with her and a bald CM Punk, Luke Gallows and the mystery man wearing a mask out in public coming into the bar. They start trashing the place and start screaming at Serena. They all eventually walk out. Serena is being booed. Kane leaves Punk go. Serena goes over to CM Punk. Punk pushes Serena away. Serena keeps saying she is sorry. Punk screams at Serena and asks her if she has any idea what she just did.
*Commercial Break*
MVP’s music plays and the highest paid SmackDown! superstar comes out to the ring. His opponent is Chavo Guerrero. Chavo has a microphone. Chavo says he hopes Vickie is watching. Chavo says Vickie’s boyfriend couldn’t get the job done but he will. Chavo says after he beats MVP he deserves an Intercontinental Title shot.
Match 3-Chavo Guerrero vs. MVP
They lock up straight away and go into the corner. Chavo gets hit a few times by MVP. Chavo hits a spinning dropkick on MVP. Chavo with some kicks on MVP. Chavo covers MVP for a two count. Chavo keeps kicking MVP. Chavo hits a Suplex on MVP. Then another and a third. The three amigos. Chavo points up to the sky for his uncle Eddie. He then goes up to the top rope and does it again. Chavo goes for a Swanton Bomb but MVP moves out of the way. MVP hits a belly to belly on Chavo. MVP clotheslines Chavo twice. MVP with a knee to Chavo. MVP hits the Ballin! elbow drop. MVP then hits another move and gets the three count.
Winner: MVP
Tonight: Rey Mysterio & Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes & Jack Swagger
*Commercial Break*
We are back and Kelly Kelly is in the ring. Obviously out next is Lay-Cool. Michelle will be wrestling tonight. Michelle attacks Tiffany outside the ring. Kelly does nothing to help. Lay-Cool are shouting like idiots outside the ring.
Match 4-Michelle McCool vs. Kelly Kelly
Michelle gets into the ring and is attacked by Kelly. She gets control and kicks Kelly twice and hits a punch. Michelle punches her again. Michelle picks her up and throws her back down again. She tries to knee Kelly but the ref breaks it up. Michelle rams Kelly into the corner and tries to choke her with her boot. Layla sprays Kelly with something. Tiffany attacks Layla. Kelly gets a roll up on Michelle McCool for the victory
Winner: Kelly Kelly
Kelly has now beaten Layla and Michelle McCool in the past two weeks. She is the number one contender.
*Commercial Break*
Your World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio comes out to the ring. Mysterio gets a microphone. He gives us a Woo! Mysterio says it feels great to be the champion. Rey says that once again it feels great to relive his dream. It feels great to once again be World Champion. Rey says being champion brings obstacles. Rey says he is ready for them. Rey says it has taken him his entire career to get to the top. He says he isn’t going to let anyone take it away from him including Jack Swagger. Rey say while his champion, Swagger is not just competing against Rey Mysterio, he is fighting against the entire 619.
*Commercial Break*
We are back and Big Show comes out to the ring and he is followed by Jack Swagger and Cody Rhodes.
Match 5-Big Show & Rey Mysterio vs. Jack Swagger & Cody Rhodes
Cody and Rey start it off. Cody works on Rey’s arm. Rey reverses and kicks Cody. Big Show is tagged on. Big Show punches Cody into the gut. Big Show slaps Cody twice. Show then throws Cody over the top rope onto Swagger.
*Commercial break*
We are back and Rey & Cody are in the ring. Rey goes up high but Cody Pushes him off the top rope. Cody goes up to the top rope with Rey. Cody tries to hit a German Suplex off the top rope but is pushed off. Rey with a seated senton from the top rope. Two Count. Rey kicks Cody and sets him up for the 619. Swagger gets in and attacks Rey. Swagger was actually tagged by Cody and is now the legal man. Well done by Cody. Swagger works on Rey in the corner. Swagger throws Rey into the other corner of the ring. Cody is tagged back in. Cody hits a Suplex and a knee drop on Rey. Cody gets another two count. Cody locks Rey in a submission and Rey fights out quickly. Cody Irish whips Rey into the corner. Cody runs towards the corner but Rey jumps over Cody. Cody hits a springboard kick from the middle rope. Cody pins Rey for a two count. Swagger is tagged in and hits his regular body splash from the middle rope. Swagger locks a Body Scissors on Rey. Rey fights out of it and kicks swagger. Swagger catches Rey in mid air but Rey hits a spinning DDT on him. Rey tags in The Giant. The Giant hits two clotheslines on Jack Swagger and a shoulder block. The Giant goes for a chokeslam but Swagger tries to get Show in a body scissors. Show slams him to the ground and holds his leg in pain. The Giant tags in Rey Mysterio. Mysterio hits a leg drop on Swagger and goes for a pin. Cody breaks it up and then fights with Show on the outside. Rey goes for a 619 on Rey but Swagger locks Rey in an Ankle Lock and gets DQ’d.
Winners: Big Show & Rey Mysterio by Disqualification.
Swagger keeps the submission locked in after the match. Show continues to apply pressure to the left ankle of Rey outside the ring. Swagger leaves go when Big Show comes running towards him.
End of Show.
