TNA Destination X Opener:

The show opens with a video package highlighting the Aries/Roode main event for the TNA World Title, as well as the X Division theme of tonight's PPV.

The pyro hits and Mike Tenay welcomes us to the show. He immediately begins hyping the fact that there will be a new X Division Champion crowned tonight before turning his attention to the main event. Tenay and JB run down the card, and it's looking like it's going to be a pretty good show on paper.

- The Last Chance qualifying match for the Ultimate X match is going to open the show as Rubix is the first wrestler to make his way out for the match. Mason Andrews is the next man to the ring.

Last Chance Fourway Match
- Dakota Darsow vs. Rubix vs. Lars Only vs. Mason Andrews

The bell rings and Darsow and Only are sent to the floor. Mason and Rubix square off in the ring with a bit of chain wrestling around on the mat. Rubix hits a low dropkick that sends Mason out to the floor. Only comes in from behind and hits a hurricanrana to send Rubix to the outside. Darsow is in and he eats a couple of arm drags from Only.

Darsow fights up and slams Only to the mat before sending Rubix and Andrews from the apron and turning back to Only with a series of elbow drops. Darsow takes Only into the corner, whipping him across the ring, but he's rolled up. Only rolls from the ring and Rubix hits a top rope cross body to Darsow out of nowhere. Darsow is able to retaliate by throwing Rubix to the mat and hitting a sit out front suplex for two. Only pops into the match and gets caught in a submission from Darsow. Mason comes in and kicks him in the face. Only tries to spear Darsow through the ropes, but both men have a bit of a tough time and end up tangled in the ropes. Mason busts out a beautiful dive to the outside on top of Only and Darsow. Rubix, not to be outdone, does a nice flippy back dive.

Rubix rolls Andrews back into the ring, but he's caught up in an arm bar. Rubix fights to the ropes, and Kid Kash is shown watching on in the back. Andrews transitions into a kimura but it's broken up by Only. Only hits a stunner/neckbreaker combo on Andrews and Jigsaw with a kick to Darsow for good measure. Only locks Andrews in a front face lock, but it's broken up by Darsow. Only sends Darsow from the ring, but he's pushed into the corner by Mason. Mason runs into Only's boot. Only heads to the top, but he's stopped by Darsow.

Andrews kicks Darsow in the face and heads up after Only. Andrews hits a superplex and Darsow powerbombs them both. Rubix hits a coast to coast corner dropkick to Andrews, springboarding out of nowhere, and everyone is down.

Darsow hits Mason with a neckbreaker. Rubix hits Darsow with a kick. Only plants Rubix's face into the canvas and Rubix falls to the outside. Only turns to Andrews, fighting off a move, but catching a knee to the face, and a big cutter. Andrews pins Only, and he gets the three.

Winner and Qualifier for Ultimate X later tonight: Mason Andrews

After the match, Kid Kash runs down to the ring and goes right to work on Andrews.

Kid Kash vs. Mason Andrews

Kash beats on Andrews around the ring before bringing Mason back into the ring and standing on his chest for a pin. Mason is able to kick out at two, but Kash mounts him and rains down punches. Kash goes for a couple more pins, but Mason won't stay down. Kash sends Andrews into the ropes, but Andrews comes up with a couple of beautiful dropkicks. Andrews goes for a crucifix pin, but Kash kicks out. Kash hots shots Andrews on the top rope.

Kash slaps away at Andrews. Andrews tries to fight back, but Kash simply kicks him in the chest for another two count. Kash takes Andrews into the ropes and hits him with several clubbing blows across the face. Kash pulls Mason to his feet and suplexes him down hard for another near fall.

Kash puts Andrews down with a backbreaker before heading to the middle rope for a double sledge. Kash slams Mason to the mat, flips him off and slaps him, then pins him for two. Kash beats on Andrews, but Andrews tries to fight back, running right into a clothesline. Kash flips off the audience before dropping and elbow and burying more kicks in Andrews' chest. Kash locks in a crazy key lock hold, but Mason won't give up.

Mason goes for an opening, but catches a big kick to the face. Kash hits Andrews with a big chop to the chest before kicking him and sending him to the outside. Kash sends Andrews back into the ring, following and slamming him to the mat hard. Kash heads up to the middle rope and jumps to the top for a nice moonsault, but Andrews gets his knees up and Kash crashes and burns.

Andrews gets some offense going with a back elbow, clothesline and dropkick. Kash misses a charge in the corner and eats a hurricanrana. Andrews heads to the top and hits a missile dropkick, but it's only good for two. Andrews hits a running high knee, but it's still not enough to put away Kash. Andrews whips Kash across the ring. Kash goes for a sunset flip but Andrews rolls through. Neither man can get a roll up. Kash knees Andrews in the face. He goes to do it again, but Andrews surprises Kash with a roll up. He (really this time) qualifies for Ultimate X.

Winner and going on to Ultimate X: Mason Andrews

Backstage:

Christy Hemme is backstage with Samoa Joe. She asks him about the World Title match. Joe says he's going to go with the man who's achieved something great and beaten him, so he's going with Aries. They turn their attention to the Bound for Glory leader board. Joe talks about his strategy from last year, where he just wanted to hurt people. This year he sees the opportunity. That leaves Kurt Angle. Tonight, he's not a gold medalist, he's ten points. He's not a wrestling machine. He's who Joe will make tap out. He and end to a means, and Joe will beat him by any means necessary.

Douglas Williams vs. Kenny King

Time for the second qualifying match for Ultimate X later tonight. Douglas Williams is the first man to make his way out to the ring, and he doesn't get much of a reaction at all from the crowd. Kenny King is out next, and he seems to have the support of the crowd in this one.

The bell rings and Kenny and Doug begin circling each other. The crowd is chanting King's name. Williams locks in a headlock and takes King over and down to the mat. King fights out of the hold and he and Williams trade submissions on the mat. King fights up to his feet and the two trade hammerlocks. Williams gets a roll up, but only for one. Neither man wants to stay down, going back and forth without too much of a clear cut advantage.

King takes Williams into the corner and avoids a roll up, rolling up Williams instead. Williams backs off and looks a bit surprised with King. Williams claps for King and offers his hand for a handshake. He pulls King in with a kick to the gut. Williams sends King from the ring. King heads back in as Williams goes out and he hits a twisting body press to the outside on top of Williams. King rolls Doug back into the ring and hits a quick suplex, rolling into a mount for a series of punches.

King takes Williams to the mat with a drop toe hold and locks in a front face lock. Williams pushes King down to the mat and clamps on a hammerlock. King fights up to his feet and out of the hold with an arm drag. He hits a couple more arm drags before transitioning right into an arm bar. Williams fights to his feet and takes King into the corner. He blasts King with a right, but King turns things around and punches Williams repeatedly. King runs into a big boot and eats a European uppercut from the second rope from Williams.

Williams slams King's head into the corner and kicks him in the gut before sending him across the ring. King is able to score with a roll up for two. Williams takes King into the corner and buries his shoulder in King's midsection. Williams slaps King across the face before sending him across the ring and hitting a running knee in the corner. Williams hit a suplex, and tries for the chaos theory, but King avoids it, hits an atomic drop, and kicks Williams in the back of the head.

King ducks a clothesline and hits a couple of his own before hitting a big spin kick. King hits a nice enzugiri before connecting with a huge spinebuster for another two count. King runs into a big boot in the corner, then misses a splash. Williams heads up, but he's stopped by King. Williams pulls King, and pushes him to the outside. Williams stands on the top and jumps to the outside with a flying knee to King.

Williams heads back into the ring, and King makes it in before the ten count. Williams goes for a pin but only gets two. King fights back with forearms and a big back elbow before snapping Williams' neck across the top rope. King hits a springboard blockbuster for two. Williams rolls King up but King kicks out. Williams hits a running knee in the corner before seating King on the top. King pushes Williams off and hits the Royal flush, putting Williams down to the mat for a three count.

Winner and Qualifier for Ultimate X later tonight: Kenny King

Backstage:

Christy Hemme is backstage with Christopher Daniels. Daniels says a lot can happen in a year. Last year all he was to AJ Styles was his support system. Since last year, Daniels has done nothing but win and dominate. He's the new face of Impact Wrestling. Daniels says all that matters tonight is beating your opponent senseless. Daniels knows what kind of man he is, and what kind of man Styles is. He talks about Styles' "affair" with Dixie Carter, and the random woman. Daniels says Styles is not the type of man to win a last man standing match at all. And everyone has Daniels' permission to drink to that.

Sonjay Dutt vs. Rashad Cameron

Sonjay Dutt is out for another qualifying match, and he gets a warm reception from the fans in attendance. Rashad Cameron is out next, and he gets a good bit of heat from the crowd.

The bell rings and we're off. Dutt and Cameron showcase a bit of their speed, both trying to out-quick each other until a double dropkick standoff. Rashad shoves Dutt by the face, and Dutt comes back with punches and a bit dropkick. Dutt jumps up and catches a dropkick to the stomach. Cameron hits the ropes and leaps out on top of Dutt with a beautful dive. Cameron sends Dutt back into the ring and gets a two count.

Cameron takes Dutt into the corner and hits him with a couple of chops to the chest. Dutt runs in and hits a beautiful hurricanrana that sends Cameron to the outside. Sonjay flies through the ropes with a dropkick to the outside. Dutt heads up to the apron, but Cameron takes his feet out from under him. Cameron whips Dutt into the barricade. Cameron rolls Dutt into the ring and goes for the pin, but only gets two.

Cameron picks Dutt up and takes him into the ropes, choking him against the middle rope. Dutt runs into a high knee from Cameron for another two count. Cameron locks in a body scissors, working on cutting off Dutt's air. Cameron breaks the hold to argue with the ref before bringing the fight to Dutt in the corner. Dutt is able to hit Cameron with a bulldog, planting Cameron's face in the middle turnbuckle. Some amazing offense from Sonjay leads to a springboard splash for another near fall.

Both men trade holds and Cameron rolls Dutt up for two. Dutt is able to seat Cameron on the top rope, but he's caught with a super crazy hurricanrana. Cameron locks in an arm bar and yanks back hard. Dutt makes it to the ropes to force a break of the hold. Cameron stalks Dutt, but he's caught with a standing sliced bread. Dutt heads to the top and does an awesome double stomp moonsault! Dutt pins Cameron for the three count.

Winner and Qualifier for Ultimate X later tonight: Sonjay Dutt

- Following the match, Tenay and Borash turn their attentions to Jesse Sorenson. They talk about the level of danger that's present in X-Division style matches, and this leads us into a special update on Sorenson's rehab.

Sorensen is shown up and walking around to rehab, but still wearing a neck brace. Jesse is shown working out with, and talking to, his doctor. Overall, he looks much better than he did a couple of months ago.

In the Arena:

Christy Hemme is in the ring, and Jesse Sorensen is introduced. He makes his way out to the ring, still wearing the collar, of course, and he hugs his mom and girlfriend before making his way into the ring.

Hemme hands over the mic. The crowd chants 'Welcome back'. Jesse says right before he came out, Dixie Carter asked if he was nervous. He said it was just good to feel anything, because the last time he was in this arena, he couldn't feel anything from the neck down. He was in an ICU, staring at the ceiling, wondering if his career was over, and if he'd walk again. He says the last thing he heard before he left the arena, was the fans chanting his name. Jesse says it's the same chant that motivated him to walk down the ramp and stand before the fans to tell them that God put him on the Earth to be a pro-wrestler. That's what he is, and what he always will be. To everyone in the back, his family, and everyone who stuck by him, he says thank you.

The crowd chants 'Thank you Jesse', but he thanks them. He calls out Zema Ion. He says he knows Ion is listening. He hopes that Zema wins the X-Division title tonight, because just like he tried to take Jesse's career, he's taking the title from Zema. He's making a promise that next year at this very event, he's going to be the X-Division champion, and he'll cash it in to go on and win the World Championship.

Jesse gets a lot of love from the crowd as he makes his way to the back. He's interrupted though, as Zema Ion makes his way out to the arena. Ion struts toward Jesse, asking him if his neck is OK. Ion and Sorensen stare each other down as Ion makes his way into the ring.

Zema Ion vs. Flip Casanova

Flip Casanova is out next. He makes his way into the ring and Ion catches him from behind with a cheap forearm. Ion takes Flip out with a crazy clothesline before chopping him in the corner. Flip avoids a splash in the corner and hits a nice kick. Flip hits a headscissors that sends Ion to the outside, so Flip is quick to head out with a dive over the top on top of Ion. Flip rolls Ion back into the ring and kicks him in the corner. He tries for something, but Ion simply kicks him away. Ion chokes Flip against the middle rope.

Ion catches a couple of kicks to the upper thigh, but he hits Flip with a back elbow and a crazy dropkick through the ropes to the outside. Ion sends Flip back into the ring and jumps over the top rope, kicking Flip down to the mat face first. Ion grabs his hair spray and uses a bit before running across the ring, and hitting a moonsault into Flip's knees. Flip hits an atomic drop and puts Ion to the mat before hitting a springboard twisting body press for two. Flip slams Ion to the mat and he goes up to the top. Flip tries for a shooting star something, but Ion moves. Ion plants Flip's face into his knee, before hitting a modified Gory bomb. Ion pins Flip and gets the three count.

Winner and Qualifier for Ultimate X later tonight: Zema Ion

Backstage:

Christy Hemme is backstage, hyping fans talking about the X Division on Twitter. She's backstage with all of the qualifiers for Ultimate X, besides Zema. Everyone gives a quick line about tonight. Bobby Roode comes in and says tonight is his moment. Tonight in the main event, the only match that matters, he's going to destroy their poster boy, Austin Aries. Their division and Aries will fail, and Roode will walk out with the World Championship.

- Another quick look at the Bound for Glory series leader board leads us to the next match.

Bound for Glories Series Match
- Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe

The bell rings and both men are slow to start, staring each other down before circling. Joe teases a couple of kicks, but Angle ducks. Joe and Angle tangle in the ropes and eventually the corner. Neither man wants to budge. Joe has a headlock clamped on, but Angle pushes him off. Joe hits a shoulderblock and goes for a sleeper, but Angle fights out and tries for an ankle lock. Joe kicks Angle away and stares him down.

Angle is able to place Joe in a front face lock, but Joe is quick to fight up to his feet, picking Angle up and driving him into the corner where he hits a series of quick rights. Joe chases off the ref before turning back to Angle and face washing him with his boot. Joe charges across the ring and runs in with a huge kick to the face for Angle. Joe peppers Angle with right hands. Joe hits a European uppercut, but he runs into a back elbow from Angle. Angle charges Joe, and Joe back drops him over the top and to the outside.

Joe flies through the ropes with an elbow suicida to Angle. Joe rolls Angle back into the ring, but he catches a kick to the chest from Angle on his way back into the ring. Angle stomps away at Joe in the corner, kicking him repeatedly. Joe is able to send Angle into the corner and hit an elbow enzugiri combo. Joe tries for the muscle buster, but Angle fights it off with a head butt, and then hits a missile dropkick.

Angle locks in a rear chin lock, cranking back and wearing down Joe. Joe fights up and elbows his way out of the hold, but he runs right into a big belly to belly release suplex. Angle goes for the pin, but Joe kicks out at two. Angle buries his knee in Joe's back and locks on another rear chin lock. Joe fights to his hand and knees, then up to his feet. Joe elbows his way out again and after a weird moment, Joe goes up in the corner. Angle charges up after, but Joe pushes him away. Joe hits a leg lariat from the middle rope for another two count.

Joe hits Angle with a couple of clotheslines, but runs into a back elbow. Joe hits Angle with an inverted atomic drop out of nowhere. A big boot/senton combo leads to a two count for Joe. Angle rakes at Joe's face, but runs right into a big snap slam. Joe tries for an arm bar, getting it, but Angle reverses into an ankle lock out of nowhere. Joe fights out, but Angle catches him for a German suplex. He holds on and hits a second suplex. He maintains his grip still, and connects with a third suplex, releasing this time.

Angle tries for the Angle slam, but Joe rolls out. Joe boots Angle in the face. Joe places Angle up in the corner and tries for the muscle buster. Angle rolls out of it and goes right into an ankle lock, standing to his feet. Joe kicks Angle away, and when Angle charges in, Joe puts him down with an STO. Joe seats Angle on top and this time connects with the muscle buster. Joe goes for the pin, but Angle kicks out at two.

Joe waits for Angle to stand and clamps on the rear naked choke. Angle drops down and locks in the ankle lock. Joe crawls for the ropes, but Angle pulls Joe back to the center of the ring. Joe goes to kick him away, but breaks the hold and locks in the rear naked choke instead. Joe locks his legs around Angle's body, but Angle elbows Joe's knees. Angle fights to his feet, and hits the Angle slam to break the hold. He goes for the pin but Joe kicks out at two.

Angle pulls his straps down and goes for the ankle lock, but Joe kicks him away. Angle tries for another Angle slam, but Joe rolls through and goes right into the rear naked choke. Joe fights him down to the mat and locks up Angle's left arm. Angle tries to use his one free arm to fight off the hold, but he's fading. Earl Hebner calls for the bell as Angle is deemed unable to defend himself.

Last Man Standing Match
- AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels

We get a video package that highlights the events leading up to this match, including all of the hoopla with Dixie Carter and her husband that was super confusing, and pretty disappointing when it all came out to tell the truth.

The bell rings and Daniels bails to the outside where he does a quick set of jumping jacks. Daniels heads in and back out for a quick bit of stretching. Another quick trip in and out leads AJ to chase Daniels. When they both get into the ring, Daniels spits in AJ's face. Styles comes back with repeated right hands until Daniels bails from the ring again. Styles backs Daniels up into the barricade hard. Daniels fights back with chops, and a clubbing blow to the back. Styles comes right back, slamming Daniels into the barricade. Daniels responds with an elbow to the back of the head before rolling into the ring.

Daniels stomps away at Styles, but when Daniels hits the ropes, Styles hits a crazy dropkick out of nowhere. Styles blasts Daniels with a kick to the chest before stomping away at his hand. Daniels backs Styles into the corner, but Styles responds by suplexing Daniels into the corner turnbuckles. Styles slams Daniels to the mat and goes for a fist drop, but Daniels moves. Daniels takes Styles into the corner and chops away at his chest. Daniels misses with one, and Styles turns it around, chopping at Daniels. Styles catches a big right hand from Daniels out of nowhere, which is followed up with a big boot to the side of AJ's face.

Daniels and Styles head to the outside. Daniels tosses a chair into the ring before turning back to Styles and tearing at his face. Daniels rolls Styles into the ring and he turns to the chair, opening it and setting it up in the middle of the ring. Styles fights Daniels off and uses the chair to leap off of for a splash, but Daniels moves and puts Styles down with a urunage on the chair.

Styles rolls to the outside to get to his feet, so Daniels follows and beats on Styles, slamming him down face first into the steel steps. Daniels catches Styles with a couple of right hands, and Styles is busted open. Daniels suplexes Styles on the arena floor. Daniels takes the ring steps and sets them on their side. He tries to whip Styles into them, but Styles fights it off and hits Daniels with a big right hand. Styles runs into a big boot from Daniels and he's thrown into the ring. Daniels puts the bent chair on the mat before whipping Styles into the corner hard. Daniels grabs the chair, but Styles kicks him in the back of the leg. Styles springboards in, but Daniels gets the chair up. It looks like both men took a bit of the chair, but it mostly hit Daniels.

Styles heads to the outside and grabs Daniels, throwing him hard head first into the ring steps. Now Daniels too is busted open. Styles goes to work on the cut with a series of rights. Daniels begs off, crawling backwards up the ramp. Styles follows and grabs Daniels, hitting him with a bit right hand. The two fight at the top of the ramp. Styles takes Daniels over toward the side of the stage. Styles heads to the other side of the ramp and both men charge, hitting simultaneous clotheslines.

Both men make it to their feet and begin trading right hands. Styles gets the upper hand with a big kick to Daniels' head. Styles tries for the Styles clash, but Daniels back drops him over to avoid the move. Daniels blasts AJ with a big right hand before posing for the crowd. Daniels tries to ram AJ's head into part of the set. Instead, Styles climbs the set and hits the moonsault reverse DDT.

Kazarian comes out of nowhere while the ref is counting, and he shoves Styles hard from the ramp out to the floor. Styles flies out a good ten feet from the stage. The ref looks at Kaz angrily before heading down to count Styles. Styles makes it to his feet at eight. Daniels heads down and slams Styles' head into the guard rail. Daniels heads down to the ring and goes underneath, grabbing a table.

Daniels brings the table back to the entrance area where Styles is laid out and sets up the table. Daniels goes for a double underhook, but Styles runs Daniels back, knocking Kaz over. AJ hits the Pele kick. AJ goes for the Styles clash, walking to the side of the entrance ramp, and jumping probably five feet down, through a table, and to the arena floor. The ref begins the count and both men struggle to stand. Styles makes it up, but Daniels falls to his back before he can stand. This one is over.

Winner: AJ Styles

Backstage:

Christy Hemme is backstage with Austin Aries. He says he's excited for the Ultimate X Match and he wishes them good luck, but at this point, that's in his rear view mirror. What's in front of him is Bobby Roode and the TNA World Championship. Roode has called himself the most dominant champion in TNA and we'll see if that's true. Roode has won his matches with beer bottles, and Aries has won with brainbusters. Aries is going to change the course of Impact Wrestling and walk out the champion, proving why he's the greatest man who ever lived.

Ultimate X Match
Kenny King vs. Zema Ion vs. Mason Andrews vs. Sonjay Dutt

The bell rings and Ion does his hair before heading into the corner. He's pulled down by everyone. He fights them all off with back elbows, but leaps into dropkicks from all three men. King and Andrews fight in the ring until Andrews is pulled from the ring by Ion. Dutt is in and blasts King with a kick that sends him out to the floor. Ion sends Dutt out to the floor, and he and Mason fight in the ring. Ion hits a springboard DDT. He heads up but King stops him and hangs him in the tree of woe before suplexing Andrews into Ion in the corner. King heads up, but he's stopped by Dutt.

King and Dutt fight on the apron. King sends Dutt from the apron with a kick out of nowhere. King heads up to the top and goes for the belt, but he's stopped by Dutt. Dutt hits a standing shooting star press but it looks like he hurt himself though, cautiously rolling to the outside. Ion heads up for the belt, but King and Andrews grab his legs and pull him down to the mat. King heads up, but Andrews stops him. Andrews heads up after King and hits a big belly to back suplex from the middle rope. King retaliates with a standing suplex.

King goes for a twisting press to the outside, but Ion moves and King crashes to the floor. Mason goes for a splash of his own and he takes out both of his opponents. Sonjay has been helped to the back. Andrews goes for the belt, but King gets his attention with a springboard spear to stop his momentum. Dutt is back out to the ring. He begins climbging up the structure. Andrews and King see this. He and King fight out to the middle of the ring and meet each other at the title. They both fall to the mat. Ion and Dutt climb all the way to the top of the structure and fight at the top. Dutt hits Ion with a couple of rights before Sonjay drops himself down on top of the cables. Ion drops down as well and uses a can of hairspray that he's got to blast Sonjay in the eyes. Ion takes the belt off of the cables, and he wins the match.

Winner and NEW X Division Champion: Zema Ion

Christy Hemme is out to interview Ion. He tells the fans to show some respect. He dedicates the win to his haters and critics for their undying support. He wants to thank his biggest support and guiding light, Jesse Sorensen. Without breaking his neck, he might have never realized how dangerous he really is. Just when you thought he couldn't get any prettier, he wins this and becomes the prettiest X Division Champion of all time.

- We get a really well put together video package highlighting the events that have led up to Aries' road to a title match. All of the video packages tonight have been well done, and I have to say that I think this has easily been one of the best built up matches Roode has had during his entire title reign.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship
Bobby Roode vs. Austin Aries

After formal ring introductions from JB, we're ready to kick off our main event of the evening.

The bell rings and the crowd immediately rallies in Aries' corner. Roode backs Aries into the corner, but breaks cleanly. Another lock up and Aries backs Roode up into the ropes, breaking clean but giving him a little tap on the chest. Another lock up and Roode goes to work on Aries' arm, taking him down to his knees. Aries is able to roll around and out of the hold, reversing things and working on Roode's arm. Roode pushes Aries off and hits a shoulder block. Aries responds with a drop toe hold and he rolls the champ up for two. Aries locks up Roode's legs and clamps on an STF before floating over.

Both men are up and another lock up leads to Aries taking Roode over and slapping at the champ's head, embarrassing him. Aries snaps Roode's neck across the top rope before hitting a slingshot elbow and another elbow drop for a near fall. Roode is able to lock on a head scissor, but Aries fights out, only to find himself in another one. Aries does a headstand and pops out, dropkicking Roode in the face. Roode heads to the outside, so Aries heads to the top and leads to the outside with a double sledge.

Aries sends Roode back into the ring and goes for a missile dropkick from the top, but Roode moves. Roode chokes Aries on the bottom rope by standing on the back of his head and neck. Roode stomps and chops at Aries in the corner. Roode suplexes Aries before backing into the corner and coming out with a knee drop. Roode clamps on a rear chin lock, but Aries is quick to fight up to his feet and out of the hold. Aries hits the ropes, but runs right into a big elbow.

Aries takes on Roode, going into a quick flurry of offense. Aries tries for the last chancery, but can't quite lock it in. He rolls out and knees Roode in the face before bringing him up to his feet, fighting him in the corner and grinding his face across the top rope. Aries sends Roode out to the apron and then floor, but he goes for the heat seeking missile through the bottom ropes, but Roode moves and Aries crashes into the guard rail. Roode rolls Aries back into the ring and he waits, hitting a spear when Aries turns around.

Roode stomps away at Aries before hitting a front suplex and going for another pin. Roode locks in a body scissors, then pulls away at Aries' face. Aries fights up to his feet and fights off Roode with a couple of elbows, but he runs into a big knee from Roode. Roode backs Aries into the corner, hitting him with a nasty chop. Roode whips Aries into the opposite corner hard.

Roode runs into an elbow in the corner, but he shoulders Aries and tosses him up and out, down to the mat. Roode wraps Aries in a seated bear hug, but Aries fights up to his feet. Roode dives him back down to the mat. Aries fights to his feet again. He runs into another knee but turns it into a roll up. Roode kicks out and clotheslines Aries hard for a two count of his own.

Roode slaps at Aries' face, talking trash. Aries gets to his feet and shrugs off forearms, coming back with a couple of his own. Roode chops Aries in the corner, so Aries hits one of his own. Roode hits the ropes and misses a forearm, but eats a discus forearm. Roode back drops Aries to the apron. Aries heads back into the ring and clotheslines Roode to the outside. Aries hits the head seeking missile and connects this time. Aries rolls Roode back into the ring and heads to the top. He hits the missile dropkick from the top rope. Aries charges Roode, but he's caught and hits with a running powerslam for a two count.

Roode waits for Aries to stand and goes for another spear, but Aries avoids it, going right into the last chancery. Aries rolls out of it to his a couple of knees to the top of Roode's head. Roode turns things around into a crossface, cranking back. Aries doesn't give up, but turns it around into the last chancery again. Roode rakes at Aries' face to break the hold. Roode spears Aries into the corner before seating him on the top rope. Roode follows up after Aries and he goes for the superplex, delaying it. Aries hits him with a knee to the head to stop it. Aries pushes Roode away. Aries goes for the 450. Roode moves so Aries rolls through. Roode hits a spinebuster, but it's only enough for two. Roode throws Aries shoulder first into the ring post.

Roode takes Aries right into the crossface. Roode pulls back. Aries tries to roll him up, but Roode rolls through and hangs on. Aries struggles toward the rope, inching his way over. Aries makes it to the rope and forces Roode to break the hold. Roode rolls to the outside and grabs his title. He brings it back into the ring and the ref sees him, grabbing the title. Roode uses the opportunity to low blow Aries. He goes for the pin, but Aries kicks out at two. Roode argues with the ref, giving him and shove. The ref shoves back and Aries hits the corner dropkick. Aries tries for the brainbuster, but Roode avoids it and shoves Aries into the ref. Roode grabs the belt and he uses it to blast Aries in the face. Roode grabs the ref and goes for the pin but Aries kicks out at two!

Roode grabs Aries and tries for a fisherman something, but Aries reverses into a roll up for two. Aries hits a kick to the top of Roode head and he connects with the brainbuster. Aries gets the three count!

Winner and NEW TNA World Champion: Austin Aries

Aries celebrates with the title while the fans go nuts. This is an awesome moment for the Greatest Man Who Ever Lived. The confetti starts to rain down on the new champion.

The PPV ends with Aries in the middle of the ring, and the TNA World Championship across his shoulder.
