Backstage News on Possible Roles for Paul Heyman If Brock Lensar Leaves WWE

Dave Meltzer speculated about the future of Paul Heyman in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter and mentioned that being a mouthpiece for Ronda Rousey could be an option if Brock Lesnar does decide to leave the company once his contract expires this year.

However, with the direction they are currently going with Rousey wouldn’t make much sense creatively as she’s expected to be involved extensively with Stephanie McMahon, whether as an opponent or even as a heel allied with her. WWE would have to make several key changes here to make it work.

Another idea could be fore Heyman to team with with Roman Reigns and turn him heel after Wrestlemania though Meltzer doesn’t believe that is likely to happen.

The above remains to be seen. Lesnar’s contract is expected to expire sometime around WrestleMania but he has a clause in his current contract that could see him until August if he decides on not re-signing.
