– It will be interesting to see what happens on tonight’s SmackDown as there’s been a lot of speculation on how WWE might move forward with a storyline for Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan after the WWE Clash of Champions finish on Sunday.
The group received a Twitter endorsement from Finn Balor, as seen below with a tweet from Owens. The “Yep! Movement” merchandise released last week may be a sign that the storyline will continue for at least a few weeks.

– Former WWE jobber Colin Delaney is backstage at tonight’s WWE SmackDown in Newark, NJ, according to PWInsider. Delaney made his long-awaited return to WWE TV on last week’s SmackDown for a squash loss to The Bludgeon Brothers but it was reported that the return was a one-time deal, at least for the time being. No word yet on if Delaney will be appearing tonight. Former TNA X Division Champion Rockstar Spud is also backstage in Newark.
– Sunday’s WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view marked 1 year since radio personality Sam Roberts started working WWE pay-per-view panels. Roberts first worked the WWE “Roadblock: End of the Line” pay-per-view in December 2016. Since then he’s worked panels at Elimination Chamber, WWE NXT “Takeover: Orlando”, Payback, Extreme Rules, Money In the Bank, Battleground, NXT “Takeover: Brooklyn III”, SummerSlam, No Mercy, NXT “Takeover: WarGames”, Survivor Series and Clash of Champions. He’s also made a few other appearances for WWE in the past year. It’s worth noting that WWE’s website originally had Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg advertised for Sunday’s Clash panel but that may have been a typo. Roberts, a longtime pro wrestling fan with his own podcast, tweeted the following on the milestone:
A year ago today I showed up on a @WWE Kick Off Show panel and @ReneeYoungWWE still has yet to throw me off. Life is fun. pic.twitter.com/EKK1gIYs00— Sam Roberts (@notsam) December 18, 2017
