– Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon tweeted the following today as they prepare to be the special referees for Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs. Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura at Sunday’s WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view. If Owens & Sami lose, they will be fired from all of WWE. The blue brand bosses wrote:
I’ve been getting a lot of questions about my decision from #SDLive. I’ve been asked where my “loyalty” lies. When I step into the ring at #WWEClash, it’ll be to protect the future of #SDLive for the @WWE Universe: something @shanemcmahon and I definitely agree on.
— Daniel Bryan (@WWEDanielBryan) December 14, 2017I agree with Daniel. We both want to protect the future of #SDLive. Looking forward to Sunday. #WWEClash

– We noted before how a WWE website poll apparently spoiled the “Final Fan Vote” for the RAW brand in the upcoming Mixed Match Challenge tournament that airs on Facebook Watch beginning in January. The poll listed Samoa Joe as one of the RAW Superstars competing in the tournament but Joe was not on the official roster announced yesterday. The poll also did not list a “Final Fan Vote” for fans to choose a RAW Superstar to compete in the tournament. This indicates that the voting will be rigged and that Joe will be the final red brand star to participate in the tournament. Joe added to this speculation when he tweeted about the series, as seen below:
*Special Announcement*
Due to the impending #WWEMMC , I will now have a full time towel attendant ringside while I pummel the other male participants in the tournament unconscious.
Thank you,
-The Management

– As noted, John Cena will be returning to action during Christmas week. Despite joining Team SmackDown at the Survivor Series last month, it appears that for television, he’ll be on RAW. Cena was added to the Christmas edition of Monday Night RAW in Chicago from the Allstate Arena. Cena will start working live events the following night, facing Roman Reigns at Madison Square Garden, followed by the rest of the week’s RAW live events before finishing up the week by working the SmackDown live event on Saturday, December 30th in Tampa, FL. Cena is currently not advertised for any shows in 2018.
