This is down 6% from last week’s 2.467 million viewers and the lowest number going back to mid-June. SmackDown also featured a Survivor Series announcement by WWE Champion Jinder Mahal and Bobby Roode vs. Dolph Ziggler advertised ahead of time.
SmackDown was #9 in viewership for this week on cable, behind two NBA games, two MLB games, MLB post-game coverage, Rachel Maddow, Hannity and Tucker Carlson. SmackDown was #9 in the 18-49 demographic, behind the NBA, MLB, American Horror Story, MLB post-game coverage, The Mane Event and Inside The NBA.
– It looks like John Cena has taken a shot at WWE attendance using his Instagram account, which has had several newsworthy posts in the past. Cena posted the following meme that appears to be a shot at arenas being tarped off due to low attendance and the recent comments made by Roman Reigns during their RAW feud on how Reigns is selling a lot of tickets these days as the top guy.
