WWE RAW Results – Jun 12, 2017

WWE RAW Opener:

We begin tonight’s show with a recap of what Samoa Joe did to Paul Heyman.

We are in Lafayette, Louisiana and your announcers are Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and Booker T.

Brock Lesnar’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring with Paul Heyman and he does the Brock Bounce and the Lesnar Leap.

Heyman says he’s here to unleash The Beast tonight. He says he showed respect to Samoa Joe last night but Joe lured him and took him out. Heyman goes on and says Joe kicked out the front door to the lair of The Beast. He put his hands on Brock’s guy and now Brock has a problem. And that problem is with Samoa Joe. That problem is going to be solved by the greatest problem solver in WWE history… Brock Lesnar. Heyman says he was fooled. He thought Joe was the worst case scenario, someone to finally step up and give Lesnar a fight, someone who could go man-to-beast. Heyman says but that’s not who Joe is. Heyman says Joe is the one Samoan who the rest of the Samoans want nothing to do with. Heyman says Joe is a punk.

Heyman gives Joe some props for how rough the Coquina Clutch was last week. His first thought was what happens if Joe puts the clutch on Lesnar. Heyman then realized that as a dog, as a punk… Joe will never get the hold on Lesnar because he’s not man enough but if he does, Heyman can guarantee that… the music interrupts and out comes Joe marching to the ring.

Joe gets right in Lesnar’s face and quickly attacks. They go at it and Lesnar turns it around. We see RAW General Manager Kurt Angle bringing security out. They hit the ring to boos. Security gets taken out. Lesnar goes right after Joe again and takes him down. The brawl continues as Angle sends the RAW locker room out to break the fight up. Joe drops Lesnar with a kick to the face. The roster pulls Joe out of the ring while the other half holds Lesnar back. Lesnar breaks free and goes after Joe. They’re separated again as fans chant “this is awesome” now.

– Cole announces The Hardys vs. RAW Tag Team Champions in a 2 of 3 Falls match as tonight’s main event. We go to commercial.

– We are back with a Moments Ago Moment of what happened between Samoa Joe, Brock Lesnar, security, officials, and the Raw roster.

Dean Ambrose vs. Elias Samson

We go to the ring and JoJo introduces Elias Samson, who is in the ring with a spotlight and his guitar. He starts singing a song knocking Louisiana and his opponent. The music interrupts and out comes Dean Ambrose.

They lock up and they fight for position in the corner until Dean breaks clean. Ambrose with a hammer lock and Elias backs him into the ropes and Elias with knees to the midsection. Elias with an Irish whip and Dean floats over and hits a corkscrew back elbow. Samson goes to the floor and we go to commercial.

We are back and Dean with forearms but Samson with a clothesline. Samson kicks and punches Ambrose in the corner. Samson with a knee to the ribs and a reverse chin lock. Ambrose tries to escape the hold but Samson holds on. Ambrose with elbows and a belly-to-back suplex that allows Dean to get out of the hold. Dean with chops but Samson fires back. Dean with forearms and a running forearm. Dean with a flying clothesline and a fisherman’s suplex for a near fall.

Dean with a running forearm into the corner but Samson avoids the bulldog. Samson with a boot and then he goes after Ambrose but Ambrose drops down and Samson goes over the top rope to the floor. Ambrose with a suicide dive. Samson punches Ambrose on the turnbuckles and sets for a superplex but Ambrose blocks it. Dean with head butts to send Samson to the mat. Dean is stopped by the Miz who makes his way to the ring and Samson gets a near fall with a rollup.

Dean bounces off the ropes with a clothesline. Ambrose sees Miz and Dean goes to the floor. Miz begs for mercy and Maryse looks at something near Dean. Miz puts Maryse in the way and then Dean pulls Miz out of the ring when he tries to escape. Maryse distracts Dean and then Dean gets back into the ring in time. Samson with a leaping knee drop to the back followed by a reverse swinging neck breaker for the three count.

Winner: Elias Samson

After the match, Miz and Maryse head up the ramp with smiles on their faces. We go to replays. Miz talks trash from the stage as Ambrose looks on from the mat.

– Still to come, The Hardys get their rematch. Back to commercial.

Backstage:

We are back with the latest Shattered Dreams Production from Goldust. He tells us to keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. R Truth claims they were brothers and friends. The truth is you were jealous and scared. Goldust says he got to Truth before Truth got to him. You never understood him. No one understood him. Is it because he is too bizarre? Is it because he makes you feel uncomfortable? Ignorance can be beautiful, but just like beauty, nothing lasts forever unless you are made of gold. You better buckle up buckeroo because you ain’t seen nothing left. The Golden Age is back.

Backstage:

Miz and Maryse are walking in the back and Kurt Angle wants to know what is he doing. Miz says Ambrose is lucky because Ambrose ruined his celebration. Miz says Maryse is still angry for what he did to the grandfather clock. Kurt says that is not his problem. Miz points out that Dean did what he did because Kurt was too preoccupied with his personal problems. Kurt wants to know what Miz knows about Kurt’s personal problems. Miz wants Kurt to stop Dean Ambrose. He suggests that Kurt fire him, suspend him, or fire and suspend him. Kurt tells Miz never to speak to him like that. Kurt says he will do nothing to Dean Ambrose. Kurt tells Miz if he has a problem with Dean Ambrose, he needs to do it himself.

Backstage:

Noam Dar is in the locker room and Cedric Alexander stops by and he says that he has moved on and is over this. He does not know how many other ways he needs to say this. He is done with Noam and Alicia Fox. Alicia is on Face Time with Noam and she tells him to say anything he has to say to her face. Noam says that Alicia is at home recovering from a neck injury. Alicia says she is looking forward to Noam taking care of Cedric tonight. Cedric says it is over tonight. We go to commercial.

Cedric Alexander vs. Noam Dar

We are back and Noam is talking to Alicia on his phone as he makes his way to the ring. Dar argues with the referee while Alicia continues to talk.

Dar turns around and Alexander with a Lumbar Check for the three count.

Winner: Cedric Alexander

After the match, Fox is still running her mouth and be annoying. Cedric celebrates and leaves as Dar plays to Fox on the phone.

– Still to come, Bray Wyatt has a message for the WWE Universe. We go to commercial.

– We are back and Roman Reigns will be making an announcement about SummerSlam next week.

– Bray Wyatt appears and he says the world is ending and collapsing under the weight of its own sin. Bray says he knows that he is the only one who can save you. Bray says he’s here.

In the Arena:

Bray makes his way to the ring.

Bray says those who deny him will be judged. Those who sit in pathetic apathy will suffer their guilt. Those who dare blaspheme his name will be punished. Just like Seth Rollins. He has it all figured out. He has all the answers. Seth lives in a glass house with the blueprints of the architect blocking out the sun. It only took one dose of his truth to bring that house down. Now Seth will be picking out shards of glass from his soul for eternity due to his transgression. Due to Seth’s ignorance and dependence on humanity will set the way that you will live by. If you take his name in vain, you will fall.

If you take his name in vain…

Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring.

Seth says he has to clarify something so they are on the same page. Bray cost him his match last week because he called Bray a couple of names? He can get under Bray’s skin for that? Calling him a wannabe martyr and a false prophet, that was the truth. By calling him out, it forces Bray into the light. Bray prefers to hide in the shadows and attack when necessary.

Seth says that makes Bray a coward. Seth dares Bray to prove him wrong.

Bray tells Seth his pride will betray him. You are oozing arrogance all over the place. When you look at your reflection in the mirror, you see the man. Bray says he sees a man who is beneath him. You do not want this fight because his power is more than you can fathom. You have found the will to slay a king.

The lights go out and go back on. Seth is alone in the ring. The lights go out and come back on and Bray is back on the
TitanTron. Bray tells Seth to face his fear and RUN.

Backstage:

The Hardys are in the interview area and they are asked about their match against Sheamus and Cesaro. Matt says they are the most physically daunting team they have face. Matt says they find a problem and they climb it. Jeff says then they jump off it. Matt says they will regain their titles tonight.

Kalisto vs. Apollo Crews (with Titus O’Neil)

We are back and Akira Tozawa is in the front row for the next match.

Crews with a waist lock but Kalisto with a kick and satellite head scissors. Crews with a kick and he gets a near fall. Crews gets a near fall after a suplex. Crews with a front face lock. Crews with a punch and he sends Kalisto to the mat. Crews poses but Kalisto with a kick and enzuigiri from the apron. Kalisto with a springboard head scissors followed by a spike head scissors for a near fall. Titus distracts Kalisto and Crews gets a near fall with a rollup. Crews blocks a handspring move and hits the toss power bomb for the three count.

Winner: Apollo Crews

After the match, Crews wants Tozawa to come into the ring. Tozawa tries to get away but he cannot escape the hug and the selfie.

Backstage:

Rhyno is being fed cheese and crackers by Heath Slater. Miz and Maryse stop by and Miz says he has a career changing opportunity. Miz says that Kurt Angle has done a horrible job of showcasing Heath Slater’s talent. Miz offers Slater an opportunity to be part of his entourage. Rhyno says he has a partner. Slater says what he wanted as a kid going to WWE events was to be Intercontinental Champion. Miz tells Slater to join him and he will get a shot at the Intercontinental Title someday.

Rhyno says Slater has a partner. Miz says that he can eat caviar with stars or eat string cheese with Rhyno. Rhyno says that Miz can find a tag team partner because he is going to Kurt Angle to make a tag match for tonight. We go to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and Alexa Bliss makes her way to the ring.

Alexa says last week she defeated Bayley to retain her Women’s championship. Instead of having a celebration worthy of a champion, she had to defend her title against Nia Jax. Tonight, she has no obligation to defend her title. Alexa mentions the Money in the Bank Ladder Match on Sunday, but that is on Sunday. The goddess is here to honor you with her presence.

Nia Jax is not like most girls, other than the fact she is interrupting the champion. Nia reminds Alexa that Nia said that she deserved that opportunity. Nia reminds Alexa that she promised her.

Alexa says she should have said she was thrilled to have a title match against Nia. She wanted a match for the ages that people could watch over and over on the WWE Network. That moment was stolen by Mickie James and Dana Brooke. They are the real problem.

Mickie James and Dana Brooke come out. Mickie calls Alexa a dwarf and she reminds Alexa that she is a six time champion so she has a long way to go into her territory. Mickie asks Dana if Alexa said it was unfair to get a title match. Dana says Alexa said that ‘we’ have a Nia Jax problem.

Alexa wants everyone to calm down. Alexa asks Nia to consider the sources. Dana is the epitome of a disgruntled worker. Mickie James is someone whose spotlight is fading by the second.

Emma’s music plays and she makes her way to the ring. She tells everyone you can put the spotlight where it belongs because Emma is back. Emma says she is ready for her rightful place at the top of the women’s division.

Alexa tells Nia they are proving her point. They are stealing her spotlight.

Sasha Banks makes her way to the ring.

She tells Alexa she has it all twisted. To be a champion, you need to prove you are the best day in and day out. You have a ring full of women ready to throw it down. All you want to do is come out and yap your mouth. Sasha says that she will show Alexa how a boss throws a party.

We go to commercial with all six women brawling.

Alexa Bliss, Emma, and Nia Jax vs. Mickie James, Dana Brooke, and Sasha Banks

The match is joined in progress and Alexa with a reverse chin lock on Dana. Alexa returns to the reverse chin lock. Dana with elbows but Alexa sends Dana to the mat by the hair. Alexa chokes Dana in the ropes. Alexa kicks Dana and chokes her in the corner. Emma tags in and she kicks Dana. Emma with a butterfly suplex for a near fall. Emma with a drop kick and she gets another near fall. Emma punches her former BFF and applies a reverse chin lock. Dana with elbows but Emma with a forearm to the back.

Emma with an Irish whip but she runs into a boot in the corner. Emma kicks Dana in the midsection and Emma knocks Mickie off the apron. Emma misses a kick and Sasha tags in. Sasha with clotheslines followed by a drop kick. Sasha blocks a kick and kicks Emma. Sasha sends Emma into Nia. Emma avoids a lungblower and then Emma with an elbow. Emma tries to make the tag and Alexa leaves.

Nia breaks up a cover and Mickie with a chin lock and thrust kick. Mickie moves and Nia goes to the floor. Mickie with a Thesz Press. Emma with a rollup but Sasha counters into the Banks Statement and Emma taps out.

Winners: Sasha Banks, Mickie James, and Dana Brooke

After the match, Nia and Emma stare up at Bliss on the stage as the winners stand tall in the ring.

– Still to come, Miz and a partner vs. Rhyno and Slater. Also, Graves looks at Bayley’s Extreme Rules loss and sits down with her.

– We are back with a Finn Balor video package. Finn says if you don’t believe in yourself, nobody is going to. Feeling the love from the fans is a humbling experience.

Interview With Bayley:

Corey asks Bayley what happened at Extreme Rules. Bayley says that match is to inflict pain. She says she has never been in a match or situation like that. She is not here to put bruises on people’s backs, she is here to put smiles on people’s faces. Corey asks how will that attitude help in the ring? Bayley says she will not defeat people with hugs, but she did not get here being someone she is not. When she goes through the curtain, they see 100% Bayley. She is not going to change who she is for a match. She will do what is best for herself.

Corey asks what does the future hold for Bayley. Bayley says everyone has been asking her. Since she started training 9 years ago, she wrote down on her first day she wanted to be the best. That has not changed. A loss does not change her mindset or her legacy. She wants to regain the Women’s Title. She wants to walk back into Wrestlemania as the Raw Women’s Champion. They are in Louisiana, where Wrestlemania is next year. She wants everyone to know that they can do it on their own terms.

Bayley asks to end this interview on a hug and Corey is not very excited for the hug.

Rhyno and Heath Slater vs. The Miz and The Bear

We go to the ring and out comes Rhyno and Heath Slater. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and out comes WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz with Maryse. Cole says he was just told during the commercial that Elias Samson even turned Miz down. Miz waits for his partner but some clown-like music starts playing as the same Congratulations Bear from last week comes out riding a tricycle. He scratches his rear on the ring post before hopping up on the apron.

Slater with a rollup on Miz for a near fall. Miz offers his hand to Slater. Slater refuses to shake his hand. Slater with punches and a forearm. Slater with an arm drag into an arm bar. Rhyno tags in and they hit a double back elbow. Rhyno with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Rhyno with an Irish whip and a running shoulder into the corner followed by a belly-to-belly suplex for a near fall. Slater tags in and he comes off the turnbuckles with a forearm to the ribs. Miz with a punch.

Slater with a flapjack and the bear tags in. The Bear slaps Slater. Rhyno is in shock and the bear with a bear hug. Rhyno with a forearm to the back and Miz is tagged back in. Miz hits the bear from behind and sends him into the ringside barrier. Miz runs the bear into the apron. Miz takes off the head and it is not Dean Ambrose. Slater with a leg lariat after Rhyno sends Miz back into the ring.

The bear comes into the ring and Maryse tells Miz something. Slater helps the bear up and the bear with a kick and double underhook DDT. Maryse tells Miz that it is a different bear. The bear takes off its head and it is Dean Ambrose. Miz knocks Maryse off the apron as he tries to run away from Dean. Maryse yells at Miz and she goes up the ramp to the back. Dean kicks Miz and hits the double underhook DDT.

Dean puts Slater on top of Miz for the three count.

Winners: Heath Slater and Rhyno

After the match, Dean puts the bear head on MIz.

– We take a look back at the Raw Tag Title Match at Wrestlemania when Matt and Jeff Hardy returned. Back to commercial.

Neville vs. Rich Swann

Neville attacks Swann when he enters the ring. Neville sends Swann into the apron and ringside barrier. Neville sends Swann into the ring and applies the Rings of Saturn.

Neville takes his belt and mic.

Neville says Austin Aries, TJ Perkins, and now Rich Swann. He tells Swann to get out of his ring as he kicks him to the floor. It feels good to be the King. . . or does it? How many more pretenders does he have to obliterate until he gets the respect he deserves? Neville says he has heard what has been said about Akira Tozawa. It takes more than a cute tweet from Titus O’Neil to be the Cruiserweight Champion. He tells Tozawa to tread lightly unless he wants to bend a knee and kneel before the King of the Cruiserweight.

Backstage:

We go to the interview area for Sheamus and Cesaro. They are asked about their strategy. Sheamus says the key to defeating their opponents is to know their opponents. Cesaro says he has looked at a book to learn about the Hardys and he shows the Hardy’s autobiography. Cesaro says they are the ones who inspire everyone in the WWE. Sheamus says they are going to inspire the Hardys tonight to write a sequel called Exist to Retire.

We go to commercial.

Backstage:

We are back and Big Cass is down in the back and officials check on him. We see Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder walking in the background when Enzo shows up to check on Cass. Cass says he was hit in the back of the head and he was out. It was the hardest hit he ever felt. Enzo says he will find a partner but Cass wants to go but he cannot walk.

In the ring, Luke asks if Colin fell down again. Karl asks if that is two weeks in a row. He says that Cass could have said he did not want to wrestle them.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. Enzo and Cass

Cass hits the side slam and the Empire Elbow on Anderson but he stumbles into the ropes. Cass slowly tags Enzo in. Enzo unloads on Anderson with lefts and rights. Enzo with a high knee. Enzo dropkicks Gallows off the apron but turns around to a running kick from Anderson. Anderson goes to work on Enzo now. Anderson runs into kicks in the corner. Enzo looks for a tag but Cass is down on the floor trying to stand up. Gallows tags in but Enzo fights him off. Gallows boots Enzo out of the air and tags in Anderson. They hit Magic Killer and Anderson covers for the win.

Winners: Gallows and Anderson

After the match, Gallows and Anderson stand tall as their music hits. They go to hit Magic Killer on Enzo again but the music hits and out comes Big Show. Show hits the ring but Gallows and Anderson retreat. Show helps Enzo up and raises his arm. Cass is watching from the apron now. Show leaves as his music plays but Cass isn’t happy about Show being buddies with Enzo.

– Still to come, the RAW Tag Team Titles are on the line in the main event. Back to commercial.

Backstage:

Back from the break and we get another R-Truth video from What’s Up Productions. He quotes Cool Hand Luke but says Goldust attacking wasn’t cool. Truth is mad as hell and won’t take it any longer. Truth promises Goldust is going to get got.

Backstage:

Enzo approaches Big Show and thanks him for saving him for the second week in a row. For peace of mind, Enzo wants to know for sure that Show had nothing to do with Cass getting attacked this week and last week. Show takes offense and gets a bit upset. Show blames Enzo questioning him on Cass and says Enzo’s partner is S-A-W-F-T.

– We get a look back at the big brawl between Joe and Lesnar from tonight’s opening segment.

Backstage:

Mike Rome is backstage with Joe, asking if what happened changes his strategy for the Great Balls of Fire title shot but it didn’t. Joe says Lesnar came out to let everyone know this is his house but Joe’s reaction was to stare him in the eye and let him feel the man he’s going to battle with. Joe says in 4 weeks Lesnar will walk to the ring and Joe’s reaction will be to stare him down again, put him in the Coquina Clutch, make him go to sleep and become the new Universal Champion. Joe walks off.

2 of 3 Falls Match for the RAW Tag Team Titles: The Hardys vs. Cesaro and Sheamus

We go to the break and out come The Hardys for their rematch and tonight’s main event. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and out come RAW Tag Team Champions Cesaro and Sheamus.

The bell rings and Sheamus immediately goes for a Brogue Kick but Matt Hardy ducks it. Matt takes control for a 2 count. Jeff Hardy tags in for some double teaming. Jeff with Poetry In Motion. Matt with a Side Effect as Jeff covers for a 2 count. Cesaro gets dumped as they keep control of Sheamus. Cesaro yanks Matt off the apron, leading to Sheamus blocking a Twist of Fate. Sheamus drops Jeff in the corner and covers for the pin. Sheamus and Cesaro have the first fall. We go to commercial with Cesaro yelling.

Back from the break and we get a Pizza Hut commercial with Noam Dar, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Back to the ring and Sheamus has Jeff grounded as the “you look stupid chant” starts up. Sheamus catches Jeff in a backbreaker for a 2 count. Sheamus stomps on Jeff now. Sheamus goes for the Cloverleaf but Jeff fights back and kicks him out of the ring. Cesaro tries to get Sheamus up. He makes it back in and stops Jeff from tagging. Jeff kicks Sheamus into the corner. Cesaro and Matt tag in.

Matt unloads on Cesaro as the “Delete!” chants start up. Matt slams Cesaro’s head into the turnbuckles over and over. Fans cheer for Matt as he hits a running clothesline. Cesaro counters the bulldog. Matt with a tornado DDT out of the corner for a close 2 count. Matt goes to the apron and slams Sheamus onto the apron. Matt comes back in and hits a Twist of Fate on Cesaro for the pin. We’re tied at 1-1.

Matt with another 2 count. Cesaro blocks a Twist of Fate. Matt comes off the ropes but Cesaro uppercuts him in mid-air. Sheamus tags in and goes at it with Matt now. Sheamus with a kick and a big knee to the face for another 2 count. They double team Matt for another 2 count as Jeff breaks it up. Sheamus takes out Jeff and sends him to the floor. Cesaro goes for the Neutralizer but Matt counters. Cesaro rolls him up for 2. Cesaro gets the Sharpshooter locked in now.

More back and forth between Matt and Cesaro now. Jeff tags in and unloads on Sheamus as he comes in. Jeff gets a pop and drops Sheamus again for a close 2 count as Cesaro breaks it. Matt dumps Cesaro to the floor. Cesaro knees him as he follows. Sheamus launches Jeff onto the top rope. Cesaro uppercuts Jeff from the floor. Sheamus follows up and rolls Jeff up for 2. Jeff with another jawbreaker. Sheamus charges but runs into the ring post as Jeff moves. Jeff goes to the top and nails a Swanton Bomb for a big pop. Cesaro pulls Sheamus out of the ring to break the pin.

Jeff goes back to the apron and leaps out, taking Cesaro down. Jeff brings Sheamus back over but Cesaro stops him. Matt fights Cesaro off of Jeff. Sheamus drops Jeff on the floor. Cesaro launches Matt into the barrier as the referee continues his count. Both teams get counted out as fans boo.

Double Count Out

After the bell, the fight continues as Matt sends Shamus into the ring post and back drops Cesaro on the floor. Jeff climbs up and takes out both champions for another pop. The Hardys return to the ring and stand tall as their music plays. The RAW Tag Team Champions clutch their titles and back up the ramp as The Hardys talk trash from the ring. RAW goes off the air with Cesaro and Sheamus raising the titles.
