WWE RAW Results – Apr 3, 2017

The WWE RAW after WrestleMania 33 opens up a video package looking at Roman Reigns’ main event win over The Undertaker last night. The video package ends with the fans chanting for Taker in the post-match segment.

– We’re live from the Amway Center in Orlando as The Undertaker chants continue. Fans chant Taker’s name for a few minutes as the cameras take it all in. They’re still chanting “Undertaker” but now we get dueling chants with “Roman sucks” added in. The music interrupts the chants and out comes Roman Reigns to big boos. JoJo does the introduction as Reigns heads to the ring. Michael Cole welcomes us and he’s joined by Corey Graves and Byron Saxton.

Reigns hits the corner and poses as the boos continue. The music stops and Reigns is really getting heat. A “Delete!” chant starts and we see a “Delete!” sign in the crowd. A big “f–k you Roman” chant starts next. Reigns just takes it all in as the chants and the boos continue. A “you suck!” chant is next. They chant “asshole” at him next. Reigns finally raises the mic but the boos continue. He waits again. A “Roman sucks” chant starts up. Reigns smirks and raises the mic to speak but the boos pick up. Another “Delete!” chant. Reigns goes to speak again but the boos get louder. A “shut the f–k up” chant starts next. Reigns keeps looking out as a “go away” chant starts. Reigns raises the mic and says, “This is my yard now.” The boos get loud again. Reigns drops the mic and leaves the ring as his music plays.

Raw Tag Team Championships
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy

We go to the ring and out first comes Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. We see stills from how they lost the titles at WrestleMania 33. We go to commercial with Gallows and Anderson in the ring.

Back from the break and Gallows and Anderson are finishing up their entrance as we see some of the international announce teams at ringside. Out next come new RAW Tag Team Champions The Hardys to a big pop.

Anderson and Jeff start things off and Anderson with punches but Jeff with a shoulder tackle. Jeff with a wrist lock and forearms. Matt tags in and they hit a double back elbow and a fist drop and flip leg drop combination for a near fall. Matt sends Anderson into the turnbuckles. Anderson with an elbow to Matt but Matt with a Side Effect for a near fall. Matt sets for the Twist of Fate but Anderson escapes and Matt sends Karl over the top rope to the floor. Gallows tries to interfere and then Matt and Jeff clothesline Gallows over the top rope as we go to commercial.

We are back and Gallows punches Matt but Matt fights his way out of the corner. Gallows with an uppercut and Anderson tags in. They give Matt a neck breaker and belly-to-back suplex combination for a near fall. Anderson punches Jeff on the apron. The referee has to hold Jeff back and that allows Gallows and Anderson to double team Matt. Gallows tags in and kicks Matt. Matt with punches. Gallows chokes Matt in the corner. Gallows with a splash into the corner. Anderson with a knee drop for a near fall.

Anderson with a flying boot to Matt in the corner. Gallows tags in and he kicks Matt in the ribs. Matt with punches to Gallows and then to Anderson on the apron. Matt turns around into a boot from Gallows but Matt moves when Gallows goes for a leg drop. Jeff tags in and he punches Gallows. Jeff with a running forearm and a reverse atomic drop and a leg drop to the groin followed by a drop kick and splash for a near fall.

Jeff with a Poetry in Motion off the steps to Gallows and he slams Gallows’ head into the apron. Anderson tries to intefere but it backfires. Gallows kicks Jeff and Anderson hits Matt. Anderson with a flying boot to Jeff but he can only get a near fall. They set for the Magic Killer but Matt trips Anderson. Jeff with a Twist of Fate to Gallows and a leg drop to Anderson. Matt with a Twist of Fate and Jeff with a Swanton for the three count.

Winners: Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy

After the match, The Hardys celebrate and it’s announced they will be on RAW Talk later tonight.

– Still to come, the new WWE Universal Champion. Also, Chris Jericho and Seth Rollins vs. Samoa Joe and the new WWE United States Champion.

– We see stills from Triple H vs. Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.

– Back to the ring and out comes WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville. Back to commercial.

Neville vs. Mustafa Ali

Back from the break and the WWE Cruiserweight Champion has a mic. He talks about his WrestleMania 33 win over Austin Aries and says you can’t deny that he gets the job done. Neville says he will have a proper celebration on 205 Live this week but he couldn’t pass up the chance tonight… the music hits and out comes Mustafa Ali to interrupt. Ali tries to shake hands before the bell but Neville shoves him.

Neville grabs the hair and Ali wtih a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Ali with a back flip and he hits a head scissors take down. Neville goes to the apron and Ali with a spin kick and then he goes to the turnbuckles for a moonsault onto Neville on the floor. Ali sends Neville back into the ring and Neville sends Ali high into the air and then he lands face first on the mat. Neville sends Ali over the top rope to the floor. We go to commercial.

Neville with a side head lock. We see footage from the commercial break when Neville hit a missile drop kick. Ali wtih a drop kick and both men are down. Ali with a kick and then he rolls through and hits a neck breaker but he can only get a near fall. Neville chokes Ali in the ropes. Ali lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex attempt. Neville with an elbow. Ali with a side head lock but Neville with a Saito suplex. Neville with a clothesline and he gets a near fall.

Neville kicks Ali in the head and they go to the apron. Neville and Ali go to the turnbuckles but Ali punches Neville and hits Spanish Fly and both men are down. Neville with a forearm and Ali with forearms. Neville with a back heel kick. Neville misses a boot to the temple but Ali with a kick and a reverse rana. Ali with a tornado DDT but Neville rolls to the ropes so he can get his foot on the ropes to stop the count before three. Ali misses the inward 450 and Neville goes up top and sets for Red Arrow, but he will not give the crowd the pleasure so he goes back to the mat and applies the Rings of Saturn and Ali taps out.

Winner: Neville

– A limousine pulls up in the back. Vince McMahon gets out to a big pop. He starts walking into the arena as we go back to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and there is NO CHANCE that Vince McMahon would not want to be on the Raw after Wrestlemania.

Vince says he wants to say something to everyone who is watching but he wants to say Thank You. He thanks everyone and for making Wrestlemania the Ultimate Thrill Ride.

Vince says that next week there is going to be a Superstar Shake Up. Something shook all of them to the foundation at Wrestlemania. It broke his heart and it broke yours. Vince shows footage from last night when Stephanie was knocked off the apron through a table. Vince says his daughter will be out of action for some time. He says she was almost broken in half. Vince says the crowd is being a little insensitive. Vince says they are being cruel. Since the commissioner is out of action and there is no General Manager. It is time to name a new General Manager.

Vince says this new General Manager was just inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Teddy Long’s music plays and he dances on the stage, but Vince stops the Teddy Tango. Teddy is shocked that it is not him. Teddy says MY BAD and then Hollas his way off the stage.

Vince introduces the new General Manager and there is no music. The music does not work again. Vince says he is a prima donna so he hopes it is not the wrong decision. He introduces Kurt Angle.

The crowd serenades Kurt with ‘You Suck’ chants.

Kurt says it is great to be back on Monday Night Raw. He says it’s True… It’s Damn True. Angle looks like the happiest man alive. Angle’s music hits as he makes his exit.

– We’ll hear from Brock Lesnar later tonight. The commentators thank the city of Orlando for their hospitality toward WWE, as well as the fans that traveled from all over the world.

Still photos are shown of Kevin Owens defeating Chris Jericho to become the new WWE United States Champion. Later tonight, we’ll see Jericho team with Seth Rollins to face Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens. Back to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and The New Day come to the ring. Big E says what a night. Wrestlemania was one for the ages. It was a Wrestlemania so thrilling all of the blood in his head rushed to his… Kofi says they were all excited and honored to host a record setting event for you people. Xavier asks about the ‘you people’ comment. Kofi says he meant the WWE Universe. Kofi says a part of them were sad that they couldn’t do what they do best. Get in the ring and whoop some butt.

Xavier makes an open challenge to anyone in the locker room.

Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder of The Revival make their way to the ring. They attack the Pop Cart.

The Revival vs. Xavier Woods and Big E (with Kofi Kingston)

Dawson and Woods start off and Dawson with forearms. Wilder tags in and he connects with a knee to the arm followed by punches and a snap mare. Woods with a satellite head scissors and a chop. Woods goes for an O’Connor Roll but Dawson tags in and hits a Divorce Court and we go to commercial.

We are back and Dawson with a punch to Woods for a near fall. Dawson with a hammer lock and he sends Woods into Wilder’s knee. Wilder tags in and connects with a forearm to the back. Wilder puts Woods on the turnbuckles but Woods knocks Wilder off the apron. Wilder works on the arm and then he tries for a superplex. Woods with forearms and he knocks Wilder to the mat. Woods with a missile drop kick. Dawson tags in and he stops Woods, but Woods makes the tag. Big E with two overhead belly-to-belly suplex and he avoids a clothesline and hits a belly-to-belly suplex.

Big E clotheslines Wilder over the top rope when he tries to stop the splash. Big E misses the spear but Woods tags in. Woods wends Wilder to the apron. Woods chops Dawson and he follows with forearms. Dawson with a forearm but Woods with a rolling elbow. Wilder tags in and Woods punches Dawson but Wilder and Dawson hit Shatter Machine for the three count.

Winners: Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder

After the match, they attack Kofi and Dawson with an Indian Death Lock and Wilder comes off the turnbuckles and stomps the ankle.

Backstage:

Kurt Angle is in his office and he takes some things out of his box. Enzo Amore and Big Cass enter to introduce themselves. Angle dead pans responses to Enzo’s intro and he says he has had a great week. Enzo is confused and he says they are not doing too good. Enzo says they have gold around their neck. Cass says they don’t have any gold around their waist. Enzo wants to know why the Hardy Boys were in that match on Sunday and why are they the champions? Kurt says he has no idea what Enzo is talking about. He says if you are looking to get closer to the tag titles. They will compete in a number one contender match against Sheamus and Cesaro. Cass says he will spell out what he think of Cesaro and Sheamus. They leave and Kurt says that isn’t how you spell soft.

Bayley comes to the ring as we go to commercial.

Bayley, Sasha Banks and Dana Brooke vs. Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax and Emma

Back from the break and Bayley waits with Dana Brooke as Sasha Banks makes her way out to join them. The music hits and out comes Emma making her big return to the ring. She poses on top of the announce table before heading to the ring. Nia Jax is out next, followed by Charlotte Flair. Dana looks to start out with Charlotte but Emma tags in. Emma and Dana go at it now.

Emma gets the upperhand early on and works Dana around. Emma sends Dana back down and points at Bayley to come in. Bayley comes in and they go at it. Emma works on the arm. Bayley takes control for a minute but Emma drops her with a right hand. Emma stands tall as we go to commercial.

We are back and Nia works over Bayley and then Charlotte tags in. Charlotte chops Bayley while Nia holds Bayley. Charlotte puts Bayley in the tree of woe and she kicks Bayley. Emma tags in and she kicks Bayley. Emma pulls Bayley by the pony tail from the floor. Charlotte puts Bayley in the ropes and Charlotte with knees to the leg. Charlotte with chops. Bayley sends Charlotte over the top rope to the floor.

Charlotte pulls Sasha off the apron before she can make the tag. Charlotte sends Bayley back to Charlotte’s corner. Charlotte stops Bayley from making the tag for a moment. Sasha makes the tag and hits Meteora and she knocks Nia and Emma off the apron. Sasha with a head scissors take down and a running double knee strike in the corner. Charlotte is put in the ropes and Sasha with a double knee drop and she gets a near fall. Dana with Wasteland to Emma. Dana and Sasha with a double drop kick that forces Nia to the floor. Bayley with a cross body to Nia from the apron.

Charlotte goes for Natural Selection but Sasha counters into Banks Statement and Charlotte taps out.

Winners: Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Dana Brooke

After the match, Charlotte pushes Emma and Nia. They argue and Nia with a splash to Charlotte. Emma leaves while Nia hits a biel and a leaping elbow drop.

Backstage:

Kurt Angle is in his office and he asks Sami Zayn what is he trying to say. Sami says he had a great relationship with the former GM and he is looking to cultivate that same relationship. Sami says this Superstar Shakeup could send him to Smackdown. Shane seems cool, but he is a McMahon. Kurt says that Sami exerts Intelligence, Intensity, and Integrity. Kurt says that Sami will be just fine. Sami appreciates what Kurt said and he wants to ask Kurt one more thing. Sami says that he is not one of Stephanie’s favorites.

Jinder Mahal storm in and says that he should have won the Battle Royal. Jinder demands justice. Sami says he was talking and Jinder says that Sami had his time. Kurt says problems will be settled in the ring tonight. We go to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and Brock Lesnar makes his way to the ring with his advocate Paul Heyman.

Paul introduces himself and he says he is the advocate for the reigning, defending, undisputed Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. Paul says his client has authorized him to be a little personal. Paul gets to tell a bedtime story that Brock and he tell to their children. Once upon a time, there was a man who fancied himself a superhero. This superhero represented everything that society should rebel against. Honesty, integrity, family, and tradition.

One day, this superhero took his spear and his jackhammer and decided to go into town. That superhero’s name was Goldberg and he was known as the Baddest Dude in the village. All of the villagers would go around saying that Goldberg is a bad bad bad bad bad bad man.

Brock whispers into Paul’s ear.

Once Goldberg took the Universal Title, he took a left turn into South Central Suplex City, where family, honor, and tradition is not followed. When our superhero went to Suplex City, he got his ass kicked by the beast.

Paul says the little kids do not have to worry because this fairy tale has a happily ever after. That happily ever after is that you won’t be seeing Bill Goldberg around here any more.

Paul says that leaves them in a situation where he is looking for new challenges and new challengers.

Paul goes down the list and suggests Seth Rollins versus Brock Lesnar. Paul says that Brock still owes one to the architect. What about Matt Hardy versus Brock Lesnar? What about Jeff Hardy versus Brock Lesnar? What about both Hardys versus Brock Lesnar?

Brock will not be one of these champions who will take selfies with the title and savor every moment with the title. Brock is the disrupter of the Status Quo. Paul wants to talk about the TWO in 23 and 2.

History demands that those two go one on one to determine whose yard this really is. If you haven’t heard the news . . . they’re out here talking about you Roman Reigns. Roman who is spending the night going around the locker room barking orders like he is the big dog.

Now, the question is what to become of this situation? If Roman Reigns is the Big Dog, then Brock Lesnar is Animal Cruelty. Paul says his client, before they came out, authorized him to says it is time to give The Raw after Wrestlemania crowd something they will never forget. That means it is time to deliver something special. It is time to deliver that one on one. Why wait forever? Why not do this right here, right now?

Braun Strowman’s music plays and he comes to the ring.

Braun gets in Brock’s face and he says that Roman Reigns has Brock’s attention. He says when he is done with Roman, maybe he will have Brock’s. Braun tells Brock that he got his attention.

Brock and Braun have a staredown and then Brock puts the title belt between them. Braun decides to leave the ring and he says he will do it on his terms.

Backstage:

Chris Jericho is in the interview area. They mention his rematch at Payback, but Chris is asked about his tag match tonight. Chris talks about the Raw after Wrestlemania crowd and he gets on the crowd’s side. He says this is his crowd. They are the fans of Jericho.

Chris says this is time for him to start getting his revenge on that stupid idiot Kevin Owens for winning the United States Title. He will start with the tip of the finger because it was the tip of the finger that saved him after that Codebreaker. That is what kept Chris from winning. Chris asks if you know what happens, tip of Kevin Owens’ finger when you help beat Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania? You made the list.

Kevin Owens attacks Chris Jericho with more than the tip of his finger. Kevin punches Jericho and Samoa Joe joins in and attacks Jericho from behind. They send Jericho through a table with an assisted power bomb.

– Back from the break and Kurt Angle is approached by Seth Rollins backstage. Angle says Jericho is in no condition to be Rollins’ partner tonight but the match is still on. Angle promises to find Rollins a partner.

Sheamus and Cesaro vs. Enzo and Big Cass in a Number One Contender’s Match

Cesaro and Enzo start things off and Cesaro with a shoulder tackle for a near fall. Enzo with a head scissors for a near fall. Cesaro with a belly-to-back suplex but Enzo with punches. Sheamus tags in. Colin tags in and Colin with punches and an elbow in the corner. Sheamus punches Colin. Colin with an Irish whip but he misses a splash. Sheamus with an Irish whip and a splash into the corner and he goes to the apron. Sheamus goes up top and he misses a move off the turnbuckles. Colin with a slam and Enzo tags in. Colin tosses Enzo into Cesaro and then into Sheamus.

Colin sends Cesaro over the top rope and then Colin press slams Enzo onto Sheamus and Cesaro. We go to commercial.

We are back and Enzo punches Sheamus. Enzo with a boot to Sheamus and punch to Cesaro but Sheamus keeps Enzo from making the tag. Sheamus with a Finlay Slam and Cesaro tags in and hits a double stomp for a near fall. Sheamus tags in and punches Enzo. Sheamus with an Irish whip but he misses a splash when Enzo moves. Enzo sends Cesaro to the floor and Colin punches Cesaro but Sheamus with a drop kick through the ropes. Enzo with a DDT and both men are down.

Cesaro tags in and he hits a running European uppercut in the corner followed by the giant swing. Cesaro with a sharpshooter but Colin with a running boot to Cesaro and then one to Sheamus. Colin gets back to the corner to get the tag. Colin with a shoulder to Cesaro followed by a splash and a second one. Colin with a side slam and a leaping elbow drop. Colin with a running boot and Enzo is tagged in for the Rocket Launcher but Sheamus with a Brogue Kick to Colin and then Sheamus press slams Enzo into a European uppercut for the three count.

Winners: Sheamus and Cesaro

– Still to come, Rollins and a partner vs. Joe and Owens. We go to commercial.

– We are back and Michael Cole shows tweets thanking Undertaker.

Jinder Mahal vs. Sami Zayn

We go to the ring and out comes Jinder Mahal as Cole shows us stills from the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal with Rob Gronkowski taking out Jinder. Sami Zayn is out next to a pop.

Jinder attacks from behind while Sami is still making his entrance on the apron. Jinder beats Sami around ringside and knees him in the face. Fans begin the “ole!” chants for Sami. Jinder sends Sami into the steel steps and gets fired up. Jinder brings it back into the ring as the referee checks on Sami. We finally get the bell.

Jinder goes right to work on Sami in the corner. Jinder drops knees on Sami and keeps him grounded. Sami runs into an elbow and goes down again. Jinder with a dropkick to the back for another 2 count. Jinder keeps control and drops more big knee drops for a 2 count. Jinder keeps Sami on the mat as the “ole!” chants continue. Jinder with a high knee off the ropes. Sami counters a right hand and hits the Exploder suplex into the corner.

Sami readies for a Helluva Kick and nails it.

Winner: Sami Zayn

– After the match, Sami stands tall as we go to replays.

– Still to come, Rollins and a partner team up in the main event. Back to commercial.

– Back from the break and out comes new WWE United States Champion Kevin Owens for the main event. His partner Samoa Joe is out next. Seth Rollins is out first for his team. Cole says Rollins was cleared to wrestle tonight based on his performance at WrestleMania last night. It’s time to find out who Kurt Angle picked to be Rollins’ partner. The lights go out and the entrance begins for Finn Balor. Balor makes his return to a huge pop. He is not dressed as The Demon. We go to commercial.

Seth Rollins and Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens

We are back. Owens and Rollins tag in and Owens with a wrist lock but Rollins with a reversal. Owens with a kick and side head lock. Owens with a shoulder tackle and Rollins with a thrust kick. Owens avoids a suplex and gets a near fall with a rollup. Owens tags Joe into the match. Joe and Rollins with punches and Joe backs Rollins into the corner and connects with jabs. Rollins with forearms and chops. Joe with a kick to the shoulder. Owens tags in and he punches Rollins.

Owens with an Irish whip but Rollins with a flatline into the turnbuckles. Balor tags in and he punches Owens. Owens with a sunset flip and Balor rolls through with a drop kick. Balor goes to the apron and he hits an enzuigiri. Owens goes to the floor and Balor goes to the floor and hits a running drop kick that sends Owens into the ringside barrier. Balor sends Owens back into the ring and he works on the arm.

Rollins tags in and he goes to the floor. Rollins with a suicide dive onto Owens. Joe checks on Owens and Rollins with a flip dive over Owens and Joe and he glancingly hits them. Rollins is limping and favoring his injured knee. Owens with a kick to the knee and a DDT. Owens gets a near fall. Owens wtih another near fall. Joe with jabs to Seth and Seth fires back. Joe wtih an Irish whip and a running elbow into the corner followed by an enzuigiri for a near fall. Owens tags in and chokes Rollins.

Owens mocks Balor and it was too sweet. Owens with punches to Rollins. Owens with a back senton for a near fall. Owens with a rear chin lock. Joe tags in and he kicks Rollins Joe with a take down and he applies a spinning toe hold on Rollins to work on the injured knee. Rollins kicks Joe to get Joe to release the hold. Joe keeps Rollins from making the tag. Rollins leaps to make the tag but Joe catches him and hits the knee buster. Owens tags in and kicks Rollins. Joe tags in and hits a back senton. Joe misses a second one.

Rollins tries to make the tag but Joe grabs Rollins. Rollins lands on his feet when Joe pulls him away from the ropes. Joe with the Kokina Clutch and Rollins goes to the ropes and then hits an enzuigiri. Balor and Owens make the tag and Balor with running forearms and he knocks Joe off the apron. Balor with a back heel kick and a drop kick. Balor with Irisih whips and running chops. Owens with a back elbow on a third attempt. Balor with an enzuigiri and then he kicks Joe from the apron. Balor goes up top and he leaps over Owens. Owens with a Samoan Drop for a near fall.

Balor with a boot and Slingblade. Balor is cut off by Joe with a Kokina Clutch but Rollins with a springboard knee. Balor with a running drop kick and then he hits the Coup De Grace for the three count.

Winners: Seth Rollins and Finn Balor

After the match, there appears to be tension between Finn Balor and the man who injured him, but Seth raises his hand and we go to credits.
