The Undertaker first stepped into WWE way back in 1990, and now many believe the wrestling legend has fought his final battle. The Phenom was hit with multiple Superman Punches during his fight with Roman Reigns, before being Speared through a table and then eventually losing the bout.
Taker was given a tremendous send off by thousands of adoring fans after his disappointing loss. He lay down his classic overcoat and hat, sparking retirement rumors, before he made his way up the ramp and slowly exiting the trap door. There’s been official statement confirming his retirement, many people associated to WWE have said it was The Undertaker’s last match, including legendary commentator Jim Ross. Jim Ross tweeted “Humbling to think that I helped broadcast #TheUndertaker last match/ I’ve never received a bigger honor. @WWE #thankyoutaker”.
Despite announcing his retirement, one bookmaker is still giving odds for the Phenom to win the 2018 Royal Rumble. The Undertaker has returned from “death” numerous times in his WWE history, therefore an unexpected return to the ring can’t be fully ruled out. He’s 20/1 on Oddschecker to win next year’s Rumble, which will give him a title-shot at Wrestlemania, an event which the Undertaker has made his own.
