No one really knows what’s to come for Luke Harper after back-to-back loses on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in his match against AJ Styles for the #1 contender spot at WrestleMania.
Dave Meltzer discussed this match on the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio and questioned the decision of having Styles win both falls clean with his finishing move, considering the fact that Styles is set face Shane McMahon at WrestleMania as a heel. It’s now being speculated after the loss to Styles that Harper could possibly re-align him with Bray Wyatt to battle against Randy Orton in their Road to WrestleMania feud. Bray is being booked as the babyface and rightfully so since he is the one that lost his compound and Sister Abigail.
Many believed Harper would be added to the Wrestlemania main event for a triple threat contest, however it looks as if that is no longer the plan moving forward. With plans consistently changing on a weekly bases within WWE, there could always be the possibly that WWE changes their mind as we near Mania’.
